  • Installing Flatpaks is another way to install linux apps on a Chromebook and it's SUPER easy to do. Probably one of the easiest ways to get Linux apps installed and running in Chrome OS.

    sudo apt update - look for software / system updates
    sudo apt upgrade - upgrade your system files
    sudo apt install flatpak - install the core flatpak system
    flatpak --user remote-add --if-not-exists flathub flathub.org/repo/flathub.flat... - add Flatpak repository
    CTRL+ALT+T - access the ChromeOS terminal
    vsh termina - access the terminal to modify the linux container
    lxc config set penguin security.nesting true - modify the Linux container to run Flatpaks
