I think it’s important to remember that some people are switching from console to pc here. Going from 60fps to 90fps is big when you haven’t seen it on a monitor before.

I feel like 16 GB of RAM is gonna hold him back. Our computer refresh at our office is i5-12500, 16 GB DDR4 3200, and 500 GB nvme. And our more high usage machines get 32-64 GB of RAM.

You need more ram if you are editing or programming, not for gaming. 16 gigs should be fine, however if you do serious programming like me 16 gigs can hold you back a bit. I've got 64 after upgrading from 16 to 32 to 64 I dont see any improvement on my games just programming is so smooth. Hope I could help!
I have the same combo of the i5 12400f and rtx 3060. It's amazing and deliver enough power, but I have upgraded the cooling with an 240mm aio. The temperature is max 50-55 degrees on full throttle. I love it 😍❤️
The 12400f and 3060 ti combined is surprisingly good depending on what you pair them with on 1440p with the right combinations you can get 60-54 on cyberpunk which is pretty good although it could be better its good for casual gamers who don't really have a lot of money.

How many people are really buying builds like this? The Steam hardware survey says some of the most popular GPUs are gtx900 series and the most popular CPUs are like 5th gen Intel processors.
A small nitpick - i highly doubt it's 5th gen Intels, since those were really unpopular, mainly only focused on laptop variants and only a couple higher end desktop models, such as i7-5820k and i7-5930k were somewhat relevant for the consumers

Ryzen 7 5700x and a 3070…if you like amd you can go with a 6700xt. A b550 aorus and 32 gigs of ram at 3200/3600 mhz. A seasonic 750 gold should be fine but going for the 850 is not a bad idea. For the storage a sabrent 512 gigs for the boot and a 1tb sata ssd. For the aio a deepcool castle
there is no reason to get an F series CPU unless it is on sale when you buy it and the normal version is not, the igpu really saves you when troubleshooting and it adds just 10 bucks to the prics

Firstly I don't know what high fps means for you secondly, yes with a RTX 3060 and a i5 12400f you can get high fps on many games with intensive graphics if you are playing on 1080p.(on ultra settings)
you could probably grab aftermarket parts used for quite cheap. if you wanted to go simple you could get a plain motherboard for example a b450m hdv for like 50 new. then ofc get your power supply new cos no one wants a fire, and then buy your other parts either new or used, for a start, youll be good to go

On MW2 he will get around 180-200 FPS. On Warzone it’ll go down but it’s still gonna be good.
