What if it's just ragebait? Would be genius marketing then. I don't see many other scenarios where this makes sense unless they've already put plans in place to revert based on short term metrics, or they're scared about not being able to sell cars with smaller margins on EVs due to the fact that these historic luxury brands can't survive on image alone.
@@tupolev.designs Yeah but they will lose a lot of their customerbase switching to EVs regardless. As long as acquisition > cancelation then they turn a profit. They don't care about used cars, so selling isn't a concern, customer retention is for sure though. And this might be their solution I guess?
🤮🤮🤮 To think this brand made the F-type some years ago... I will never again be able to enjoy the sound the F-type without remembering this shit! Such a shame... 😞
Throw away the past? When it has a great history, why? New identity? Its a car company. Polarize? Into what? A small group who like the image but can't afford a car or don't drive, and a large group who hate the image and are no longer going to buy a Jaguar. This could only have been developed in a woke echo chamber. The USA is a big market for Jaguar and I can't see this landing well in the Trump era. I suspect they polled a lot of Democrats in Washington and everyone loved it.😀
Long time ago it was "I driving a Jag" now its "I driving a Drag". Congrats Jaguar you make the brand as a non- BUYnary, as how the saying goes "GO WOKE, GO BROKE".
Isn't it obvious? They probably don't have their new car line ready to show off yet, so no cars in the ad. How then to get people talking about Jaguar, and keeping it in mind in the interim? Well, a vague, confusing and highly stylized ad that deliberately sparks internet controversy, discussion, and argument could potentially garner them much more publicity than a more conventional approach. The existence of this UA-cam video makes my case! They WANT people talking about it: Remember that (with the occasional rare exception, like for Bud Light's Mulvaney ad) nearly any publicity is good publicity. (I do hope that when we eventually see them, the new cars themselves won't actually match the aesthetic of this ad, though...)
For over 65 years I was awed by the Jaguar cars Xk140, the XKE and the more recent XJ! I have owned many different cars, big Cadillacs, baby Cadillacs, Corvettes, little Chevys, an Olds wagon and even a Mercedes 250SL, was revolted by a brand until now! 😮
My wife has a master's in marketing with her thesis done on Fiat and their branding in the US so this was right up her alley. She looked at the add and explained it thusly: Jag has a loyal fan base but they are older and are dying off, so they are trying to rebrand to create a new look to draw in a younger fan base. that having been said this is an abject failure as a commercial because the new fan base has no idea what they are trying to sell. by changing the logo and the spelling of Jaguar to JaGuar they sever connection to the old brand so completely there's no clue what they are actually promoting and that is the worst sort of commercial. You remember it but not the product so you will associate he image potentially to other products, not the one who paid for the commercial. Reply
I think they really missed the boat here, They should have mixed Shaguar, with Johhny Carsons reply to Zsa Zsa Gabor, and used the slogan, Move Your Cat!!
Why now would any company just stop making any ICE autos and go 100% EV? The market has shown that most are still reluctant to purchase and EVs and a blend of both would give them the lineup needed to be successful. TBH most existing Jaguar's are driven by middle/upper class and mostly older which is the exact class they are missing with the new rebrand!
There is nothing creative, innovative or enticing about Jaguar’s new campaign - it is at best insulting, divisive, cliched and is straight out of the DEI book of brand-guidelines.
So a rebrand to enable them to create hyper expensive EVs… yeah that’s going to work well isn’t it! So when they complete just a handful of these super expensive milk floats and realise they are leaking cash like no tomorrow, no falling back on bio or synthetic fuels, nope just reach for the insolvency paperwork and pray for forgiveness. If I were working at Jaguar, I’d seriously be updating that CV.
Perhaps they should target an audience that actually has the money and the desire to purchase a brand new first year clean-slate design JaGUar EV that will have the inevitable mix of Indian and Chinese parts - talk about reliability problems...
Jaguar is dead, it’s no longer English brand. It’s now just another new era throw away. Glad they changed the logo so they don’t trash the real original true vehicle it used to be. RIP.
Change is required in tata logo on cars not in jaguar
Exactly!!
Correct
👍
i concur
Mahindra logo too😆
They are launching in the past, 2016
😂😂😂back to the past
Yeah they also got DEI employees here they r called pro Islamist
Degrading standard of media
It's mint for you 😂😂
The company will be launching in 2016 and then release facelifts in 2012.
Yes... they got the technology to do so from DeLorean. 😉
A complete woke show.
Earlier a car company, now a diversity brand. Well done Jaguar now you will sell no more cars even if you want you
😅what?
At present there more wokes than sane people they are doing great for their branding,.
DRAGuar
More of a shitfest.
It's looks like an ad from a paint brand or a fashion brand
Possibly the same person responsible for those old Benetton ads from the past with a touch of LSD🤣🤣🤣
@FrankTimms-cs5hl 2016 ad? 😅😅😅
As far back as the 80s and 90s.
That OG Jaguar logo is one of the reasons ppl are attracted to buy a Jaguar. It speaks class, unique, luxurious and exclusive. Now it speaks freak...
I use to always want a Jag, not now.
R I P JAGUAR
This is suicide bruh, and if anything......the og jaguar logo is far more unique then whatever the fuck they chose now.....

@アマ-p2l people are planning to abandon jags and even sell them after seeing this...if that was the plan then it heavily backfired I won't lie

Such a shame... 😞
In 2016??
They are losing their soul and their core identity
The people behind this are paying them more money than they make selling cars.
This.
Can't remember what or who is behind this but they pay companies to go woke and push diversity. It's so blatantly obvious now, too.
Kudos to Tata for avenging Britain's illegal colonialization of India by ruining their one of the most iconic brands. Job well done👏
😂
'illegal' is hilarious. You can't just brand your opinions on historical actions as retroactive law. Hereby I will declare your comment as illegal.
@@regenen hereby, as ordained by the Lord, my battalion march towards thee
Illegal from British mouth doesn't fit 😂😂😂😂
Imagine thinking it was "illegal colonization" and that this has anything to do with Tata lmao
At least if you're online you're not out raping.
The new Jag logo is so horrific that it just killed John Prescott.
Coming up next : Jaguar filing for bankruptcy....
The designer just copy pasted JaQuar logo with some extra spaces. For a major car brand it looks cheap tbh.

They made the advert thinking Harris was going to win. Same with Boots and their hideous woke suicide note.
Long time ago it was "I driving a Jag" now its "I driving a Drag". Congrats Jaguar you make the brand as a non- BUYnary, as how the saying goes "GO WOKE, GO BROKE".
Thanks to this ad - I'm celebrating that my jag with its modified exhaust and loud revs is now officially a classic and worth a whole bunch more.
The brand means nothing any more. It's about the message.
They'll be looked after by the powers that shouldn't be behind the scenes.
Ah so its us normal folks who are the confused ones. Glad yall cleared that up😂
You will see something on 2nd December
One of the main attractions of owning a Jaguar is the Jaguar logo, and the sound that the engine made. It's just like Tesla now. Boring.
Tesla isn't woke garbage

NOPE.
Bud light is still losing customers 🤦♂️🤣 So no Every publicity is not good publicity 🤷♂️
Every other car company should learn from Jaguar as an example of how a car company shouldn't be.
It looks 15-20 years old. This might look fresh in the early 2000s.
The New Jaguar Eww Type 😂

Yeahhhhhhhhh, nothing to lose,
Go all the way,.... Go... Go.... Jag.
Wtf they are doing please bring the iconic jaguar symbol atleat or modify it
I promise to purchase all of our households feminine products from Jaguar.
awful, they crashed jaguar brand, and launch this "Fashion Stor brand"
Another Microsoft Lumia 😂
Creating a fire break between the old and the new is definitely helpful. It'll let historians know exactly when the company decided to fail.
Everyone talking about Jaguar... Elon Musk also.
That is some good marketing.
If by talking you mean ridiculing then... yes.
Something a dumb guy will conclude
Every one was talking about bud light too. Then they lost 22B in market cap. lol.
Nice ads, as good as Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony
JaguWoke pro max
Doomed brand under Tata..better they sell
We know where the failed Bud Light marketing went?! 😂
A disgrace.

Jaguar to jagwear....
It's not iconic british brand it's owned by ratan Tata and it's an Indian brand
Why is everything is soo gayy noww
Because the west keeps promoting this debauchery.
2016 or 2026?
Can’t wait to try on my brand new jaguar polo shirt in jaguar trademark green
They should have rebranded with a Gotham City type of aesthetic from the old cartoons
Cumming soon will be Elton John, Grace Jones, and Liberace special editions for the new JaGuaR.
It is nobodies business. It is jaguars business and they got my attention. My next car is a jaguar.
Oh Lord.. this is the end of a legacy..
CEO needs to get fired.
I had no idea Jaguar was acquired by Benetton.
Looks like a new brand of DUREX.
It does look like fashion brand logo which looks futuristic and upmarket but sells Zara quality clothes .
To be fair. it can now be called Tranzport of the future
Lots of luxury brands to choose from.
0:40 Because, they want to tell us their logo is "GU' i.e. poop 💩
😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Omg that's soooo phunny
It's like a parody of modern marketing but they lack the self awareness to realize.
In other news, Mercedez is acquring Forever 21.
Logo and icon are ok, ad doesn’t work as intended.
I hope it goes , “ Go woke Go broke
At least Bud Light had an actual beer in their ad.
I used to want a Jaguar but not anymore
I think they really missed the boat here, They should have mixed Shaguar, with Johhny Carsons reply to Zsa Zsa Gabor, and used the slogan, Move Your Cat!!
2016 .....😮 was this AD made in 2015 ? or we didn't see any Jaguar cars in 2016 😢
From E-Type to F-Type to finally ending their journey at Fag-Type.
Self destruct in..3 2 1 💥
"Copy nothing." How are you supposed to mass produce without copying parts?
Jaguaaaaagh!
Faguar - Electric motors under your seat.
Does AI narrate these videos? How could the narrator not have noticed the extremely obvious '2016' mistake while reading out the script?
Firebreak BS. They just burnt the brand. RIP the real Jaguar. Maybe someone buys the name in 20 years time with an EV remake of the XJ220.

This is disruptive. And that was the intent. A car like Mini Electric could've gone well with this boldness.

2016? 👺 Third class journalism and editing.

Jojo siwa has nothing on this rebrand
I feel very sorry for all the dedicated people at this brand staring at unemployment.
The dealers will HATE it.
Tata, please sell Jaguar!!!!!
Jaguar Zoolander 4x4 - made from Blue Steel 😂
In 2016 wow such a big backlog😂😂😂

RIP Faguar
TATA also needs to get rid of their TRUCK logo from their cars 😅😅😅
What editor is doing ? 2016?
Dragwar 😮
This is so ridiculous 😂

thanks for the video, the new logo is very gen X and has fashion brand vibes and nothin to do with cars. so sad

I will wait till dec 2 to see what they have cooked up before i make my mind, even though I can’t can’t afford a single thing they sell 😂😢
will lanch in 2016 😂😂 typo bro
