Wow, he shows you how to not break the latches and even reminds us to wipe our grimy fingerprints off of light bulbs with glass cleaner. A+ in my book. Quality explanation and attention to detail. Subbed
You have just saved me from some grief. My sincere thanks! My User Manual does NOT tell me to rotate the brake light bulb holder. It tells me I should be able to pull it straight out! This caused me to mess around for 20 minutes before I decided to check online - half the trouble with the brake light replacement is that it is a very confined space, and I have a little trouble with my hands, so it wasn't so easy for me. Once I realised the issue, I was quite angry with Volvo for not properly documenting this. Thank you so much for a clear demonstration of replacing the bulbs.
Can you tell me the models/type of bulbs there go inside this tailight? Whats the model for break lights, signal lights, reverse and the one that keeps on all the time and how many of them this car use?
Do you have a video on replacement of license plate bulb housing for Volvo c30? Have you ever replaced the license plate bulb housing on the Volvo c30????
Hi i have a question about my 2009 c30 1.6D not related to this video but i think you drive a C30 yourself :) i changed the dpf 1000miles ago ( 3months ) because i was told to fix the limp mode i needed to change the dpf . So i changed it last week the car went back to limp mode when i checked the car it had two faults * 2A10 temperature sensor particle trap signal too high * 2A30 particle trap blocked The garage told me i need a dpf temperature sensor so i changed that too , but after driving 5 minutes the fault came back I really appreciate you time many thanks
Sorry, but I have no experience with 1.6D DPF yet. What I would do is to check live data from the DPF (temperature, pressure before DPF, pressure after DPF, estimated capacity left...). Check temperature signal with cold engine turned off. Temp should be close to the ambient temp. If it's much higher, then check sensor wiring, then sensor itself. DPF capacity is calculated from the exhaust gas pressure before and after the trap. If those pressure sensors are faulty then your calculated capacity is wrong and controller thinks that DPF is full and goes to limp mode.
Hi,can I just take my brake light bulb out without taking the other 3 light bulbs out or would I need to take all the bulbs out just to change my single brake bulb?

thanks Mr. Fix!! Super clear video, and very helpful.
Hey, thanks, man. That was most helpful. Replacing those bulbs will be my little project for this weekend.
Cheers
Happy to help!
mr-fix
Couldn’t have done it without you. It went perfectly.
Thanks again. 😃

Excellent, clear and easy follow. Thanks

Do you have a video on replacement of license plate bulb housing for Volvo c30? Have you ever replaced the license plate bulb housing on the Volvo c30????
I've only made a tutorial about license plate LED installation: ua-cam.com/video/Nesj4hgcDko/v-deo.html
Thinking to install the led flashing brake lights on my C30! I wonder if it will bring up any codes. One way to find out I guess. Thanks for the vid
If you'll find so-called "CAN-BUS ready" bulbs, then there should be no problem.
All the bulbs(turn signal and brake) are p21 ?
It has been some time since I sold my C30, but I believe all bulb were P21W and the indicator was P21YW (the same socket but yellow/amber).
Thanks for the 4:18 great quality video that was totally worth my time and effort
Do you have the bulb sizes for the back? Did you got any hyperflashing after installing led turn signal?
P21Y if I remember correctly.
It was hyperflashing but those LEDs had no load resistor.

For most canbus led replacement bulbs I won't need any extra parts like resistors do I?
Do you have a tutorial of Volvo v40 rear bulbs replacement ? Thank you.
Not yet but my friend drives V40 so some day I'll make a tutorial about that.
Should you put bulb grease around the metal part of the bulb?
Only if there is yellow/green wiring
😅
Hi,can I just take my brake light bulb out without taking the other 3 light bulbs out or would I need to take all the bulbs out just to change my single brake bulb?
You can replace just one bulb. Clean the other ones as you are there so there’s less of a difference in brightness between old and new ones.
What about medium level one? (Height of middle of window)
Hello! Why do you removing the LED bulbs? Does it recognized by computer as a wrong stuff?
Error codes and low light. Bought them for test and went back to stock bulbs.
+mr-fix thank you
David Gurfinkel d
Can you do this Tutorial also on V50
+iPhone4ever will do as soon as V50 is available
Why did you replace those led bulbs?
+babol xl not error free and not as bright as regular ones
I just can't turn that bulb anti clockwise! Think my hand is too big!!!
You can always remove the light from the car and then try to remove the bulb.
mr-fix I’m probably a little too late hahaha but to take out the stop light bulb you sometimes have to push it in a little then twist..
I cannot turn the bulb holder. It won’t budge.
thanks a lot
happy to help!
+mr-fix it was a bit tricky for the brake lamp as the area is tight but I managed to change it and it works fine :)
Never have I dealt with a small car that has so many tail light bulbs.
Not the best video. So dark
Well, best that I could make 7 years ago. Hope that you find something useful there in the dark 😉
