Gustaf Fjelstrom | Out of the Furnace and into the Lion's Den: Visualizing the Story of Daniel

Gustaf Fjelstrom is a motion designer, illustrator, artist, and recovering creative director. He operates Botched Creative specializing in conceptual design, styleframes, storyboards, and animation for title sequences, branding/identity spots, promotional campaigns, and product visualizations. He lives near Austin Texas with his wife, cat, and three viciously adorable bulldogs. When not slinging pixels in his design studio, you’ll likely find him in his other studio making noises with his bass guitars and synthesizers, occasionally recording and releasing said noises on his own record label.
In this presentation, Gustaf dissects the complete process of bringing the story of the book of Daniel start-to-finish. From ideation and concepting to character sculpting in #ZBrush, simulations and rigging in #Cinema4D, rendering in #Redshift, and compositing in #AfterEffects with a heavy focus on #RedGiant tools.
