Queer persons TNM spoke to say that a decade ago, their rights and lives were unlikely to have even been considered an election issue. Today, they have found at least cursory mention in the manifestos of several major and minor political parties. This is no credit to either the ruling BJP or the opposition, LGBTQIA+ individuals say, pointing out that it is instead the result of relentless grassroots activism by community members across the country.

In the UK, the healthcare system is a total failure, 2.4 million UK kids are scrapping food to survive, most of my friends and me are living paycheck to paycheck and the govt only talks about "LGBT" as if it has any direct effect in our lives.
