The Bible is hard to understand because it is Bronze Age fiction loaded with contradictions.
The Bible cartoons are not reality.
They can simulate reality using electrical impulses so the producer can make anything appear real to the viewer.
I found the new American standard bible . Game changer !! Translates it into modern English and not ye old Victorian English so makes it much easier to follow

Had to have been so amazing to see him in action. In he was so far ahead of them that even in the stories he shows his frustration when he asked them why don't they hear his words. I can imagine the frustration that he felt. But I think that shows you can't help people that aren't asking for help. Which sucks but that's just how it is.

I think that it is interesting that to this day that the controversy around Jesus continues. And often its the unlikely ones like the centurion who "get it". What hits me is that you can't box God. Expect the unexpected.

If the Gospel of Mark is an account of the eyewitness testimony of Peter, how would Peter- or anyone who could've been a witness- have possibly known what Jesus said in prayer at Gethsemane? When Peter and everyone were asleep?
Perhaps that part of the Gospel is a later fabrication by early Christians. If they were willing to lie about that part of Jesus' life, what else did they lie about? Important questions to ponder for the faithful.
how did moses know what happened in the very beginning of the Bible when he wrote it? how did he know about Adam and eve, Noah and the flood, Abraham and everything before his own birth with great detail?

Although I disagree, I think you put forth a good argument for why Mark should end at 16:8. Your outline of Mark clearly shows all 3 acts end with bewilderment and confusion. But I do believe Mark 16-9:20 does belong with the rest of Mark. First, a more accurate footnote in a Bible would say, "SOME of the manuscripts do not have Mark 16:9-20," emphasis on the SOME. There are just as many manuscripts that do have the epilogue as those that do not. Second, the epilogue does fit the writing style of Mark. The epilogue is a short and to-the-point summary, just like Mark's book as whole and the stories within Mark. The epilogue demonstrates the disciples will receive miraculous powers, like the ones Mark emphasized Jesus had. Third, a cut short ending would leave room for denial or conspiracy theories, like the disciples stealing the body. The epilogue emphasizes that Jesus rose victorious.

Splendid work and spot on message a la Mark. I find it interesting that the added on verses 9 - 20 in chapter 16 of Mark emphasises the issue surrounding unbelief for the lack of signs! Clearly Jesus wasn't pleased with their unbelief nor their demand for a sign (8: 11). Jesus rebuked the 11 apostles for not believing the reports of his resurrection. Yet verse 20 has this: "And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs." In verse 17 it reads: "And these signs will accompany those who believe". It is my understanding that these signs are for the benefit of those that believe and a challenge for those that don't. But signs do accompany those that believe.
Always excited to watch your vids. I would disagree with your take on the summary of Jesus' ministry in chap 1:15. I do understand that you can't tease everything out in 9mn but I feel like there's more to "repent" than just follow Jesus, and the proclamation of God's kingdom. Not to mention John the Baptist's commission and what his Baptism was about (repentance + confession of sins+ forgiveness of sin). Besides, it's potentially misleading to think evil is just a metaphysical construct that needs to be defeated, perhaps it can be helpful to be reminded from time to time that Ultimately evil and evildoers are not distinguishable, it's just that as you said in your sacrifice vid, God provided a way for evildoers to be reconciled with his Justice and Holiness.

If they have been regenerated and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit they shall be led into all truth. If the Eternal Almighty leads them who are you to say "stuff is dangerous?"

@The Bible Project Nice video,, however I wish you all would have included Mark 16:9-20, It may be a later annotation but it is still in our bibles and it has many important theological doctrines included within it.
Everything in that disputed passage is also in other parts of the New Testament.
Apparently some overzealous scribe thought Mark's gospel should have a less abrupt ending, and a relative few other scribes copied his version.
It seems very likely that the added verses were not in the original.
The same with that "Father, Word, Spirit" verse in 1 John. Overzealous scribe adding to the Scriptures.
The book of Mark had a really good outline and storyline, so has this video. Would recommend to anyone! Very well and creatively created.

First to all those involved with the channel I thank you for the work you've done.
Now as to what I've said below don't think it's an attack as it isn't, it's the purest form of love that is telling the truth.
Mark; Chapter 8 vss 27 - 30
Peter knew exactly who the Lord was and was the first that the Father revealed that fact to.
Mark; Chapter 15 vs 39
is about the Roman = he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God".
The Roman after His death did know He was the Messiah/King but he was not the first by a long shot.
John the Baptist was the first as we are told in Mathew's Gospel of that encounter when John first saw the Lord coming to him.
Mark Chapter 11 vs 17 for the cleansing of the Temple.
About the ending of the Book and this presenter stating flatly, "less reliable manuscripts" is a matter of opinion and not fact.
If it was a single manuscript that would be easy to ignore, yet it isn't the whole truth.
Want to find something fun dig into the number of baskets of leftovers from the two feedings of the multitudes we're told about as they do represent something.
If you just want a broad overview of Scripture/truth these videos are fine but there are mistakes and much is left out. I also notice a tendency to make things fit to a preconception or view. I advise everyone watching to please read the Bible for yourselves. If you are here watching this the chances are the Holy Spirit is in you, you are one of God's elect. I can say this because you know your need to understand the Bible and yearn for understanding. Yet because the Holy Spirit is in fact in you, you can do it for yourselves. I do not have time to comment on everything I see for the same reasons those behind the channel have shortened certain aspects of Scripture. Please don't use these short videos as your basis for understanding your faith or put them in place of true study, I beg you.

First things First. Jesus divinely chose the authors so Mark didn't design anything.
