The Igbo language and people are such a vast and rich culturally and linguistically. Years ago when I visited Nigeria I thought my Alayi/Bende dialect was the only Igbo but I soon realized that even within the Bende Division there are countless other dialects and the more I travelled the length and breath of the Igbo nation I discovered that there exists still scores and scores of other different dialects which I think in total there might be 100+ different Igbo dialects but yet some fundamentally unifying traditions, customs, philosophies, values, and norms which binds all the various dialects together. I would rather suggest that you guys steer the program in a more educative and respectable approach that would promote respect for all the different dialects. Language is a gift from God and that is what makes humans unique and different from animals. Like the different parts of the human body that gives humans the aesthetics and functionality, all the different dialects complement each other giving us the Igbos the rich cultural heritage that is unparalleled in other cultures. Just one example, take the Igbo cuisines as a case study, can you count or name the many different types of soups cooked by the Igbo people both currently and in the bygone years?. There’s no reason why some sections of the Igbo nation should be made to feel less Igbo because of their unique dialects, there’s more that binds us all together than variations of dialectic. Dialects are nothing but flavors and we should appreciate that.

So there are some Igbo words and Yoruba words that are somewhat similar. For instance in Igbo, goat is pronounced as"Ewu" while in Yporuba, it is pronounced "Ewure". Igbo people say "Ise" while Yoruba people say "Ase". They both mean the same thing.
