    I’m African American my ancestors was enslaved during the transatlantic slavery! Our ancestors was separated from our tribes and language! So most of us don’t know where our ancestors came from unless we take our DNA 🧬 test! So I did to my surprise my biggest DNA 🧬 is Nigerian, Igbo, Benin Togo, and Cameroon! No I want to learn my ancestors language and culture! I want to thank you for doing these tutorials.

    Thank you so much, Onye nkuzi for these videos. They really help! I would also like more videos on forming sentences. I grew up hearing Igbo, so I know a good amount of verbs but I'm not good with conjugating them and using them in sentences. Anything you can do will be appreciated.

    Loved this lesson! Could you possibly do one for the evening as well? I am trying not only to learn Igbo but I am also trying to teach my children Igbo. If you could do one specifically for bedtime that would be much appreciated! Thank you and God bless

    I liked the lesson and I have subscribed. I would like you to repeat the Main phases at least 3 times. In the beginning, And again at the end. And all of the sentences in between at least twice. Great job!! I liked the way you started it from waking up. I would love to see the progression for a whole day and then the different experiences and conversations different members of the family may engage in via their many interactions throughout the day.. Again, awesome job. Daalu.

    Hello, this was great. I have notice that I make English sentences with Igbo words and of course that is incorrect. If you could do a sentence structure on when to use certain words if the verb comes before the subject. EX: sie nri ututu (cook food morning) translates to cook breakfast. Thank you.

    Does anyone here speak delta Igbo? It's a little bit different from the Igbo language but mostly the same. Is "wake up" said in the same way as delta Igbo?

    Is there a traditional way of saying good afternoon and good evening?

    • @Urfavigbo
      @Urfavigbo Місяць тому +1

      Well it depends on situation. If someone comes to your house morning, afternoon or evening, ofc you would want to say welcome. So that's Nnọo or Ala(in nsukka dialect.) In the afternoon or evening, let's say you're passing someone, the person could be working in their shops or whatever so you say weldone. Depends on the dialect. I think it's daalu in central. I know in nsukka it's maje oru. In the evening, when you're about to leave each other, someone says ka Chi foo(let the day break break), and then the other person replies ka o boo.

      You can slow the audio down like this -- Click on the gear icon ⚙️ ( settings) on the video >> Playback speed >> 0.75 or less. You also have to realise that in real life, no one will speak Igbo slowly. You will need to train your ears with both slow , normal and fast audio. I hope this helps. You can do this! 💪🏾
