      It’s a good way to know what other guitar companies are doing to their guitars.

    The Gotoh licensed Floyd Rose really is the best Floyd rose unit out on the market right now. It's so ergonomic. Not a single sharp edge on the tremolo. The Gotoh tremolo might be a good choice to include on your Solar guitars Ola :)

    • @mechajabo
      @mechajabo 6 років тому +1

      Unchainedmaple888 should check out cls Sophia bridges

    • @Unchainedmaple888
      @Unchainedmaple888 6 років тому +1

      mechajabo I have, they're super expensive and made by Ping in Taiwan. The MIJ Gotoh Floyds can be picked up aftermarket for like $120 max. Technologically speaking, the Sophia trems are the most advanced tremolos out there, but they're very expensive and quality is questionable.

    • @mechajabo
      @mechajabo 6 років тому

      Unchainedmaple888 no doubt about the price. It's something I had considered to upgrade my 7 string eventually but it's difficult to get a chance to really go out and give one a fair try.

    Wow, sick tones Ola. I have a couple Duncan Pegasus/Sentient sets and they are great versatile pickups. Beautiful looking guitar too. That lead section you did on the sentient was nice and juicy (fluid).
    Great review!

    I have just upgraded my Ibanez RG with the same bridge. This Gotoh GE1996 is absolutely amazing! Rock solid tuning and stability. It gave the guitar better sustain and brightens too.

  • @EVEROSFP1

    Ola I suggest you to put the tremolo bar in the opposite direction so the"gargle" effect be easier. ..and this video is fantastic as always.

    sweet guitar !
    i like the way you play dude , you don't phone it in like other players
    you actually work for your sound
    used too like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani , but their music has gone downhill for years now ...
    but that's what you get when you HAVE too play their own song 30+ times in a year...

    I just put some Solar pickups into my old ass beat up 2002(ish) mexi-strat, and it sound metal as fuck now :) Perhaps your guitar company can start selling pickups? How long does SD hold the rights to those bad boys?
    Would love to have them in my 8 string too. Maybe i'll get lucky and find someone else who went crazy and pulled these pups :P

    • @scriptosaurusrex
      @scriptosaurusrex 6 років тому +1

      misterringer Ola has previously said he doesn't want to sell the PU separately. He wants them to be a feature you can ONLY get in a solar guitar.
