Yeah, that seems like a lot of work. Not to mention that different dialog paths can require you to do different tasks, and aren't mappable 1:1 to the resultant dialogs. It'd be a long time before the actual perfect run was figured out.

I’ve seen some people do guitar hero speedruns where they have to fc each song. It really is clutch when they get ttfaf on their like 3rd try or something. There’s also a category where you can speed up the song as much as dare, and you have to pass it. Some songs deadass go to 350%
One of the most painful speedrun to watch is "getting over it" as it is intentionally flexing on us on how they finish it in 1 minute and 30 below seconds.
There's a version of the Guitar Hero speedrun that people play on Clone Hero (Modded Guitar Hero) where you have to complete all songs in the game, but in this modded version you can alter the playback speed of any song up to 1000%, so there is actually a challenge in choosing a fast speed for a song to get through the game faster, while also making sure not to have it go so fast that you fail.
Misrepresentative remark. The only thing that would be that level of random is if you selected the mode that explicitly says it's random. The name of the 'storyteller' (AI Director, DM, whatever you want to call it) is _Randy Random._ The game wears its chaos on its sleeves *if you ask it to.*

Funnily enough Apollo - the Guitar Hero speedruns are much more interesting than you think! For starters, the Speed% Category allows you to play each song at whatever speed you're comfortable passing (or Full Combo'ing, depending on the run), effectively turning "autoscrollers" into heavily routed runs that players can choose to push their limits on with each song in question. @@nightsong81 there are mice that have their own autoclicker buttons. Would hardware still count?
The only good category of Guitar Hero Speedruns is FC Speedruns, where you need to FC every song in the game and if you miss a note you have to restart the song
Yi-Es-Chu that's extremely lame
missing a note should restart the run
Brain-washed by that logic missing any trick in any speedrun should be a full reset
@@TooMuchDad it does waste time when you miss a note and then restart the song though so is it best to retry the song, potentially wasting all that time, or just reseting the run?
That is a speed runners dilemma.
@@TooMuchDad If every level in a game is an autoscroller then yes, you should probably restart the run after just about any time loss (at least assuming the leaderboard is populated and competitive enough that there are runs with few or zero restarted levels, but if there isn't it probably doesn't matter what your time is anyway outside of personal goals).
Yi-Es-Chu This needs to be made for Beat Saber
What about the cookie clicker “true neverclick” speedrun. The requirement is that you can’t click the cookie at all
It's just rng with golden cookies right?
I feel like all cookie clicker speedruns are essentially javascript speedruns in disguise. It is not that hard to write scripts that does what you need, and if you have done it once the speedrun literally only becomes a "fast-typing & money spent on CPU%" speedrun
So, would you have to just sit there and see how long you can go without clicking the cookie or leaving the game? Sounds like a fate worse than death.

Love the game, speedrun it my self, I’m “bacontwins31” on the leaderboard on trinity island and dinky Park 👍
I can't say for certain, but the skill in a walking dead speedrun woolf likely be mapping out the best possible route to minimize the amount of time wasted in "autoscroller" dialogue, memorizing each decision in that optimal path, and choosing them quickly.
Doesn't sound all that bad.
Yeah, that seems like a lot of work. Not to mention that different dialog paths can require you to do different tasks, and aren't mappable 1:1 to the resultant dialogs. It'd be a long time before the actual perfect run was figured out.
So just cheating on an english test
i haven't played walking dead in a long time but maybe there's decisions you can make that such as talking to someone who isn't required to continue to maybe speed up the run later, or navigating the world in an efficent route

Still boring as shit though.
"it's only menus" damn the insults to every SRPG run
i mean, fire emblem runs are not exactly nice. either it is all rng manipulation or it is pure rng
@@lpfan4491 even RNG manips, in most cases, are skill intense, espacially RPGs, no idea about FE tho, but FFT has non afaik, and makes a intense SRPG speedrun with enemy AI manipulation, on the fly backup strats etc, and it's still all menus, so is pretty much every RPG. So...not a fan of insulting a speedrun just ebcause it's all menus, but that's just me

Did you see that sick decision he just made? Wow, what a god. Lol.
I’ve seen some people do guitar hero speedruns where they have to fc each song. It really is clutch when they get ttfaf on their like 3rd try or something.
There’s also a category where you can speed up the song as much as dare, and you have to pass it. Some songs deadass go to 350%
Bucketfullabiscuits Yeah, with Clone Hero the Guitar Hero setlist speedruns are actually awesome to watch. Same with the FGFC runs.
"they have to fc each song"
What what? Speak human you nerd.
99 on that bus game looks doable !
*6 weeks later*
Where'd my wife go?
Actually:
99 points x 8 Hours each = 792 hours
792/24 = 33
It would ONLY take 4 1/2 weeks. . . not bad
y-yeah my wife...

Why do I automatically read jokes like this in Scott The Woz's voice?
One of the most painful speedrun to watch is "getting over it" as it is intentionally flexing on us on how they finish it in 1 minute and 30 below seconds.
Now that I think about it, it's almost every speedrun ever
You're goddamn right
3:01 the way you paused to say Mweep made me laugh
Tell me I didn't just hear Apollo Legend use the "it's not really beating the game because you haven't actually played the game" argument.
Oh shit he did. Also ironic that a speedrunner is talking about dumb speedruns. A speedrun is a speedrun.
Did this become a serious category? Only saw the version of it from UKOGMonkey as a joke, a meme.
Clone Hero isn't just modded GH, it's a fan made clone made from scratch (outside of the in game visual and sound assets) in Unity.

Rimworld Has the Worst Speedruns, it's 90% RNG.
Theres rimworld speedruns? Never heard about that.
Oh God that sounds like straight AIDS.

Check UKOGMonkey's channel for a good instance of that.
