What alex was talking about around 17 minutes in happened to me today. I'd set something on the moonboard like 2 years, tried it a bunch, got grumpy and gave up then forgot about it for a year or so. I tried it today and it went second go
Brilliant content. We have a similar Beastmaker Board at The Valley, Climb Newcastle that I have used quite a bit but probably not enough! Some great ideas to improve my board sessions. Thanks
This seems very interresting. I've completed my first 6a+ recently and I noticed I struggle on a specific strength, and that is pinches. Hopefully with some board climbing I can train that. I believe its much more fun to be on the wall and train then to just isolate on specific thing. Thanks! But I noticed from last session that one of my fingers hurts a tiny bit when I apply pressure, so I m still waiting one week before I'm on the wallagain.
Board training made me so much stronger... Its essential for climbing training imho, without being an expert. I can just say that I can easily hold positions nowadays I could never hold before I started with it. Though I also learned pretty fast that you have to be careful with it, otherwise it'll end your climbing career through injury.
Hi, you're not able to set a playlist of problems but you can choose a style of climbing or all the problems set by a particular person if they suit your style for example, there are always ongoing developments so I'm sure it'll be an option soon
@@walterlotte4215 There aren’t alot of kilter boards in the UK gyms, but most gyms will have a woody or a moonboard Also, wooden holds are better for the skin, so training on wooden boards is great for saving your skin for outdoors
Enjoyed that!
Sick video, would love to see more board / board training related content, Alex is a natural.
Noted, more to come soon! Thanks

When you log in to the system, can you set a playlist of problems you like to work through?

What board is that?
Hi, it's a beastmaker board :)
@@theclimbinghangaruk Interesting decision to do the episode on that one and not the widely popular Kilterboard besides.
@@walterlotte4215 thanks for the feedback. We’ll work one on the kilter board into our future video plan :)
