This takes me back. I suspect now though that, Health & Safety has somewhat pacified the rides particularly the House Of Fun with those steep drop slides and human centrifuges. Also, Animal Rights have probably stopped the kids’ donkey rides. It’s not all bad though. The ridiculous comb-over sported by Mr. Dibnah there has long been outlawed on the grounds of good taste.
There was a bad fire at the pleasure beach a few years ago and the laughing man was destroyed, except for his head. Spooky. The evil bastard can't be killed. He's still laughing.
