I agree. Just one tiny thing. It might not be full circles but just enough to pull down out of the way of the next punch. It's so slight they appear straight punches. No matter the debate he is teaching it very effectively and correct.

As I was learning the burst Sifu made sure to correct the circular motion. After practicing quite a lot I have gotten to the point where I don't punch myself in the wrist... For the most part

Another common mistake is to constantly use this technique while there are clearly other punches (e.g. CK and BJ) that are part of WC’s repertoire…

The 2nd part about not retracting is also because you use the bow and arrow energy concept for power. 👍

Ironic, I was taught that both are valid with different applications.
The bicycle version/mistake is like a hammer that intercepts.
The correct way is a knock back.

I think WC works best on a fighter that are not ready to fight, as many skilled fighter have the rule that you do not stand so close to your opponent, a great footwork it what makes a fighter the best someone said 🤔😉

How do you block a head punch?
With your hands /arms / shoulders
Also with head and body evasion
      That’s how

It can be as much as any other art, but you have to really understand what you are being taught and apply it in a good way

Everything you said I agree with but you should’ve also pointed out that if the punch is going forward then so should the rest of the body

When you do it fast, it just becomes a circular motion though, naturally.
