That wing chun jab is lightning quick it's basically an invisible jab
Please Wonderboy, stop playing around and get more serious.
You could be champ, you just gotta spar harder. All videos I see of you (I see all of them) you are not pushing yourself too much.
You need the eye of the tiger
An awesome joke is forming in my mind.
My joke:
Well it's pretty intellectual and sarcastic. (Dam, I lost it) ha ha!. It's great to be able to afford Music Television these days!
I am here in England, where I noticed. In the bar, in around 1995. In what, was in effect. A youth club in 1995 or 1996 perhaps.
Or, a nightclub. We were able to sneak into.
Everyone there, seemed to know the lyrics to The Offspring songs!
So, looking back, to try and understand. How, did they all know the lyrics?
Pirate cassettes? From buying Offspring, Smash?
I don't think the songs, got that much radio play, so maybe it was playing on UK MTV a lot?
Incredible, how the whole club, seemed to know every word of The Offspring song: Self Esteem. When The Offspring, were signed, to Epitaph Records.
So, reading online. The lead singer of this band was linked to Epitaph Records. Which, was a record label shared by. The Offspring and Bad Religion.
The singer sounds, like he has a cold. He, has an accent.
It's not quite the same, as The Offspring song. Which sounds shouted, but also. Muted. Like, the singer is trying to hit, a certain volume. Not, giving his all. But, trying to sound like he, is shouting, but also attempting to keep the volume down.
This song, sounds like the singer is pinching his nose, as he is singing.
I think it's maybe a scene for successful people. I don't see it as Punk Rock. More, popular rock of the serious type, who is intelligent and, has a steady job. Mainly male fan base is my guess, like the frustrated Rockers at an Iron Maiden gig perhaps? But, less violent!?
I love that people who can actually fight are taking on Wing Chun now and seeing what they can make work. That is what this art desperately needs.
Fr
That’s always what the art has needed it’s been outdated too long but it’s nice to finally see it come back.
Wing Chun only works when it’s used by non wing chun fighters 😅. Wonderboy can make it work because of his decades of sparring and fight experience. He understands space and time in a way that the average wing chun practitioner will never develop because the art is rarely pressure tested. I’m sure if wing chun schools got out the pads and headgear and actually sparred and tested their techniques they would develop a competent skill set.
@@253MC the problem is sometimes traditional martial artist have too much pride to adapt.
The oblique kick is useful that’s from Wing Chung, it’s so effective that Wonderboy wanted it Illegal to use.
Bro. As a Wing Chun man of 15 years you are truly a stand up person. Much Respect for helping the Martial Arts communities come together and grow as a CULTURE,

Wing Chun is useless in a real fight. Muay Thai, BJJ, some aspects of Karate are actually effective.
I trained in wing Chun and then switched to Muay Thai, it's night and day
@willsutherland7804 there is no "useless" martial art, they all have their place and utilization (yes, even aikido)
Thank you for taking Wing Chun seriously Wonderboy. It has a special place in my heart and appreciate you for giving it your time.
Hi man are you from Devon, England? 😁🏴👍🤝 I recognise your name. A billion Chinese can't be wrong Dude!
Ngemeng ae u
Haha they do not take it seriously.
@Sinful Bastard Child 🤣🤣🤣🤣
true
This is where you follow thru to where Bruce had his epiphany concerning East meets West in JKD. Hand trapping and jamming are really effective, and blossom when incorporated with western boxing's footwork and body movement. Being able to better control entry into the gap and further into hand range, by preemptively controlling the space and rhythm with trapping, is a pretty nifty tool to have in your arsenal. I really wish more fighters would incorporate the concepts. Bruce knew what he was talking about... ;)
The speed at which you incorporate new techniques and concepts is truly impressive
Yeah Stephen does identify techniques methods and situations very well. He has a sharp eye
Almost like he's a professional fighter
@@pointysidedown Nate Diaz *cough*
You can also see Wing Chun concepts and strikes in traditional Western boxing. Those that say it “doesn’t work” usually haven’t had any experience with it or had a teacher that never really fought
because wing chun dont work. no wing chung king dung gu or any shitkun do master never competed in an official fight. including bruce lee.
all hoax. looks cool , but in practice it will get you hurt because guess why . no practice... no practice means sparring ...
everyone has a plan till they get hit , wise man said..
wing chun guys dont spar.. therefore no win.. guess why they dont sparr. cuz it dont work.

Why are u not the top comment 💀
What’s up Wonderboy you better walk out to the intro one day
Nah that song is not a walk out song..
I understand why you would want him to, but when you have permission to use "Wonderboy" by Tenacious D you have to use it, you know? The D doesn't give out rights like some other bands so I think it's gonna stay till he hangs em up.
Uh it's wonderboy by tenacious d until he retires.
Kevin Holland will be battlepunched wing Chun style
@@illuporegg8558 Seeing how WB already uses that karate style blitz in with a quick 1-2 or 1-2-lead roundhouse I don't see it as a huge stretch for him to actually incorporate this into his blitz.
Kudos Wonderboy. A true martial artist. I think what people fail to realize is that when a martial art is pressure tested, what remains tends to be the same. What I mean is that effective technique is effective regardless of origin. You can call it whatever you want. It’s a strike or a sweep or a submission. These things belong to many “styles”.
well the hand traping stuff is unique to wing chun actually and its been used by many fighter in the past but often by accident and so it hasn't been crafted the same way wing chun has. the primary use i see for it in MMA is actually the punch style itself as it will reduce potential hand injury and actually if every fighter punched this way you wouldn't need gloves at all. secondly the way wing chun combines its hand traps with punches actually creates legitimate openings because of how fast it is and the fact that your bypassing there guard
@@netanelohimwarren3629 You do not see trapping in fights. I’m not saying it can’t work, I’m saying it’s not trained or used in a way to prove it’s value. I’m sure Ng Mui’s Wing Chun looked very different and the Temple still fell. I agree there would be less hand injury and we do see Wing Chun style punching in MMA, mostly from top position.
Sifu Joseph Cheng was my first Wing Chun instructor in 1969 and I practised it for 15yrs before changing to Hap ki Do. He taught us to punch with an upward twist of the fist contacting with the bottom 3 knuckles. We started every session with at least 500 punches so the upward twist became automatic and trust me it is very effective! I got attacked whilst on my holidays in Spain by a dutch man, he came at me with a right hook and I simply slid towards him in left foot forward stance, blocked the punch with a left arm tan sau whilst at the same time punching with my right putting my hip into the motion and at the same time twisting up with my punch. I caught him on the cheekbone under his left eye and it swelled up like an egg immediately as he crashed to the ground! The upward twist is a beautiful way to punch!
Yeah this is it.
One time I was the zoo and one grizzly bear and two gorillas escaped their enclosures, they ganged up and started to rob people, when they approached me first I kicked the bear I the nuts using the crane kick my sifu taught me, the kick was so hard that one of the nuts flew and hit one of the gorillas in the head knockin it out. With one kick I disposed both the bear and one of the gorillas, the other gorilla saw this and apologized and went back to his enclosure, I spared him, he is still grateful to this day.

I use the vertical punch to the body quite often. Good to see where a lot of this stuff really comes from. - Firechicken
@Paul Blackman wow, thanks for your positive feedback.
Wonderboy always reppin for traditional martial arts. Also the Wing Chun guy seemed like he actually pressure tested which is refreshing for that style
Great stuff on his channel. You should check it out.
The Wing chun stomp kick aka oblique kick, is another practical move that can be used in mma. Jones Jones has devastated opponents with this traditional technique.
He even made battle punches work in large gloves. Badass.
Nice video!
I've practiced a lot of Wing Chun in my life too! Since about 2009.
I've found that it works alot against untrained people but it's iffy against trained people. Especially hard to use in big gloves. However, it's still a big part of my arsenal 🙏🏽
look pretty hard to use against head movement. Those straight punch have tinny area for hitting a moving target head. I would imagine it s however pretty good for body work
@@colorfulbleeding Sifu used to say, if you land the first one the rest will follow up on its own
I bet it would be really good in the bareknuckle world.
@@colorfulbleeding Yeah straights are nice but you have to set them up. When I throw a series of straight punches I'm really only expecting the 3rd to hit. With both my southpaw bread and butter double jab left cross, or my double shift jab, cross, cross, both southpaw and orthodox its the 3rd punch that is the one I'm expecting to land.
The double shift is a good example because I'm anticipating that my opponent will avoid the first 2 punches. On the jab I'm expecting him to step or sway back. On the cross I'm expecting a slip, they cant step back again because the jab forced their weight to the back foot so their defensive option is to slip inside. Its the second cross I'm expecting to land because my opponent has slipped into it. Yeah its nice when the first cross lands but that isn't the goal.
Depending on the style of Wing Chun you're trained in, I think it can be incredibly complimentary to other styles, just not as a standalone style. For example, my sifu in the 90s used to cross-train us in Judo and a "non-competitive" style of Taekwondo.
Judo fits well because his style of Wing Chun _heavily_ emphasized tactile sensitivity and the notion of instantly predicting your opponent's move by touch (LOTS of Chi Sau), and perfectly complements Judo (or any grappling style). Meanwhile, the Taekwondo he taught was meant to cover Wing Chun's weaknesses, which were range and kick variety.
Today, we've definitely got more refined mixing and matching in our MMA. But for the 90s, I think this was a bit ahead of its time, and was a great starting point for people interesting in not simply making Wing Chun "work," but making it enhance other styles as well.
Appreciate you taking the time to do this.
Anything can work if you combine it with something, as a boxer iv learned mixing it with wrestling makes it really effective, I think any stand up fighter should learn ground game same with ground game fighters its important to know both
That sweep hit then kick would be an unreal finish in the cage 😮
Tony Ferguson oddly enough would incorporate parry counters from wingchun into his fights. I wanna say either his pettis fight or dos anjos fight he had some slick wingchun parries.
Great job implementing some of the techniques with it. In sparing the Pak Sao da has been helpful to me in situations where me and my opponent cross the same forearm. I feel wing Chun trapping is helpful to learn with other stuff and really nice as a mix up to make your opponent more hesitant to initiate because the counters.
love how you spar. best method to learn and be injury free.
I did the first Straight Blast in MMA vs Pancrase Champ Yuki Kondo in 2000 and you can see me use it in multiple old sparring vids
Share a link. Would be awesome
Always good energy on this channel!
Kevin Lee is the hardest working man in youtube martial arts. His channel has some of the best content out there, plus I think he does more guest appearances than anyone else.
The chain punch is cool, but -- like Kevin said -- its better for that 3rd blow to be an elbow or a clinch entry. You can use Wing Chun trapping to snake your way into some cool standing entries for takedowns, chokes, and joint locks as well. He did a couple videos years ago with Greg Nelson that were really great on the subject.
🤦♂️
Wing chin is highly problematic in it doesn’t really translate well to high level fighting but some of the fundamentals Is super easy to learn and implement and does improve fighting really quickly it just caps fast
I love wing chun I'm currently in a wing chun school and I'm loving it
This is fun. I'm 55. When I was a young adult, wing chun was discovered in martial arts magazines and presented as the ultimate weapon. All the bodyguards practised it, the Leung Ting guys were beating the crap out of everyone ;-)). Today, a thousand questions are being asked about the effectiveness of wing chun. I find that wing chun is quite effective at close range and in self-defence BUT in my experience, when you get two people to fight, their technical specificities are reduced to boxing. You don't recognize WC anymore. The reptilian brain transforms your style into good old-fashioned boxing.
Bruce Lee already did it, it's called Jeet Kun Do. It's basically like Boxing, Jutitsu/Krav-Maga, and Wing-Chun all in one package. If you're a faster than average person, it's extremely effective.
Bruce just kept certain wing Chun techniques eventually and discarded what he felt made him rigid and limited.
Jeet kun do is a philosophy not a martial art. Its about making yourself a complete fighter by filling in the gaps of your style. Saying it's a mashup of specific styles is inherently against its teachings.
Wonderboy getting new looks is pretty awesome to see. That ankle kick is nice. Doesn’t take much to be effective and give some nice openings
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, out of all the techniques they went over, that is my favorite one. I'm thinking of trying it out when I spar, it's sneaky.
Love how you immediately understand what Kevin is talking about and implement it no problem with the instructions he's given you
I also love this format and hope you do it more in the future with other martial arts
He is a professional MMA Blackbelt kickboxer! I expect him to be able to do this!
@@rosemarietolentino3218 To be fair, I've seen other vids of this type where yt guys just give weird looks at the wing chun techniques being taught to them, like "how the hell is this gonna work" type of looks.
WB on the other hand, was enjoying himself and looked very eager to learn.
I am a follower of Wonder boy because he is an amazing martial artist and a respectful person, the very definition of a gentleman...
I've found a lot depends on what the style is designed for . Stuff that may work in self defense or a scuffle may not translate when your are both squared off and willingly trading blows and trying to maintain distances , adrenalin is up, etc. Especially if the other person also has training.
very nice ...... so many people trash it but when when the concept of Wing Chun is used realistically it can be very effective to control the centre line.
Wrestling and hand fighting is something that you might want to consider when implimenting Wing chun. I would attempt a takedown when the opponent defends that sets him up to bridge with you allowing you to use Wing Chun if you don't take him down. They are forced to make contact in order to prevent you from taking them down.. Also clinch, low kicks, stomps and sweeps once you are in closer range particularly against the cage. I would lead with Teap, Roundhouse, Oblique kicks as your longer ranged attacks.
That is true I combine wrestling with my boxing
We finally know where Kevin lee fits into all of this.
Yes! I did wing chun for 4 years it was epic and seemed relatively practical for a street fight.
It can be depending on who you learn it from and how they train & spar.
It could be practical if the fight doesn't end on the ground.
@@max801 the way they generate power in their punches is interesting. Good for if you're attacked in a phone booth or tight hallway.

I can see you use chain punch very effective 👊
Amazing how wing chun gets frequently mocked however the moment a legit fighter like Stephen takes an interest suddenly it’s not so useless
I was expecting a totally different Kevin Lee tbh lol keep up the good work WB 👊
Is it just me or did it look like he brought some of that battle punch energy into the Kevin Holland fight? Absolute legend!
Can definitely see a few good uses for it in the cage
Wing Chun trapping is fun in Muay Thai sparring because few expect it and even fewer have a good idea of how to counter/defend against it. I use it like a jab opener for an overhand. So knock the hand away -> vertical punch -> and then overhand. The angle/level change and vertical punch is great in general against high guards too.
I wish there was a good Wing Chun school near me. I learned the first 2 forms and the wooden dummy form from a local mcdojo but stopped because it is a mcdojo. They knew the forms well but the application wasn't there. So I switched to Muay Thai because there is a great local Muay Thai/Chaiya school.
I recommend search Kenneth Chung here on UA-cam. I think he turned 70 yrs old this year. His English has really improved so Americans can understand him now. I trained under him when he taught in Cantonese.
If I ever train wing chun again it will only be with someone that also has muay thai and preferably also jiu-jitsu but that would not be a deal breaker. If I don't see techniques getting stress tested, no sparring and the sifu is obviously not a fighter I'll immediately leave. I like the system itself and believe there are a lot of really useful techniques hidden in the forms but just knowing the forms is almost as useless as body builder style muscles. I like what Bruce Lee said to a body builder once "that is nice but can you actually use it?"
@@crypticnomad A form Is only a beginning. Sadly many martial artists practice blindly some form and they do not know how to use ideas and applications they could find in them. So of course when they meet a real fighter they are destroyed at once
@@ragdollcatledaandherbutlerstef That was basically why I stopped training at the only place in my area that offers wing chun. The sifu is in the US and international martial arts hall of fame from her years in the business end of running large martial arts schools but she and her husband are the first to admit that they are not fighters. Her husband is a very talented martial artist but not a fighter. What that means to me is that much of the techniques they know will be unavailable to them once their heart starts racing, they get an adrenaline dump and the frontal cortex shuts off(where techniques not stress tested live). That lack of stress testing is the main reason that we see videos of extremely over confident wing chun guys get absolutely handled by mma or muay thai guys and is not because the techniques are useless. Properly stress tested wing chun is extremely effective for short distance striking situations and especially so in a clinch. My limited wing chun training gave me tons of useful concepts that I apply every time I'm in a muay thai clinch
@@crypticnomad you are 100% correct. So many wing chun practitioners dont know what they are drilling because they dont test it. You see grappling get confused with blocking.
The chain punching in the first few minutes was very effective because the guy was trapped against the floor. Now standing you're mostly going to be able to trap your opponent effectively by using one hand/arm to pin them against something, hand trap or neck grab. Your other hand can then chain five very fast and powerful punches.
Nice lil instructional. Good luck on your upcoming fight bro. Can't wait to see you in the octagon with someone who will actually trade on the feet. LETS GO!!!!!
Great video. Love your work Kevin, you're an inspiration. Stephen, I look forward to the Holland fight, gl gl.

Wonderboy's gonna bust out the Ip Man on Kevin Holland
I love using chain punches as a distraction to set up other strikes. However, I only used it on beginners to some intermediate martial artists. Haven't land any in advance people, needless to say fighters.
Those chain punches are a 5 frame start up heavy. Very good.
I’m not gonna lie when he said Kevin Lee, I wasn’t expecting this man to jump into frame haha. I can’t be the only one lol
Looking good! And man, Andrew is looking sharp as well his striking has gotten so good so fast it’s insane.
Great video! Check out some of Pacquiao and Lomachenko's past fights to see the vertical fist being used to pierce through the opponent's guard. Even Adesanya uses a vertical fist with his jab.
why do u think vertical fist is exclusive to wc?
I use vert jab it’s not rare in boxing
I think a huge part of wing chun's failure to be present in modern fighting arts is that people conflate "present with wing chun" as "ONLY present in wing chun" (see Chris Chan Shih Yung and Toby jarrett's comments). The truth of Chinese boxing is that people focus on the 'Chinese' more than they do on the 'boxing', and that the concepts are alive and well even in modern styles. You see Canelo, Lomachenko, and GGG bat down hands in a manner that could conceivably be taught in a WC school. You see Teofimo Lopez use his forearms in a way that is pretty congruent with WC methodology. The theories are sound, but applied wing chun doesn't look like wing chun formwork any more than boxing looks exactly like padwork or the speed bag.
Vertical fists, parries, forearm defenses - they're not exclusive to wing chun, they're just also present there. It's a style of infighting, it doesn't work well if you don't have a way to get inside or to break/ prevent the clinch. Anybody who just decides "I'm gonna wing chun this man" is gonna get themselves hurt, but if you are smart about the application then you can reasonably expect to successfully mix it into your striking.
@@chrischanshihyung3155 a technique doesnt have to be exclusive to be used in a style :)) just like how a rear hand cross isn't exclusive to boxing or even any martial arts--yet it is still a staple strike in boxing--or like a roundhouse kick to muay thai, or head movement in kickboxing, etc.
@@tobyjarrett4042 true! pacquiao and lomachenko are indeed boxers LOL [ doesn't mean its not part of wing chun tho :) ]
Trapping hands is what you’re trying to refer to Stephen. Basically the idea of jamming up your opponents hands/arms. If done perfectly in an ideal way, one hand traps / blocks / jams the opponent’s 2 hands - arms.
I can definitely see you adding the vertical punch to your MMA game due to your stance

I believe Wing Chun was originally designed to bridge the gap between striking and clinching, and was never meant to be a stand alone style. That's why it has no beginning, and no end.
Would be awesome to see some of this stuff incorporated here and there. I bet it would catch a lot of people off guard eventhough it seems very situational.

@@nr1NPC weak? Several mma guys have incorporated wing chun into their practice, including Conor megregor so idk what shit you’re smoking.
@@nr1NPC I mean the hand trapping and parrying is pretty realistic a lot of fighters use it to a degree, that punch combo is pretty stupid tho
Nope, it’s not bullshit. Watch ten seconds in how the midget, sorry, wing chun *master is throwing punches with his thumb out wide as far as he can…totally embarrassing and props to WB for tolerating this hot trash.
Tony Ferguson Is the Closest to someone using Wing Ching, but what I’ve noticed about wing Chung is Hooks can break through most of its Defense 🫤 an that’s How Gaethji beat him.
I’m glad to see you two working together. That’s phenomenal. 💯🐉🤛💥😉
While I definitely don't think Wing Chun would survive on its own against any trained opponent, there are some really strong, practical tools it can provide to an open-minded fighter, similar to how a karate point fighting alone won't win an actual fight, but its principles can be powerful with the right adaptations.
I'd love to see you move on from chain punches and try a little Chi Sau, and maybe test out a few hand traps and takedowns.
I have been doing Wing Chun for over 40 years. It’s the person not the style that makes it work. If it doesn’t work for you maybe you have not had enough real applications to make it work for you.
Add some Iron Palm and it will work even better…
It works I use it and nothing else in streetfights but what you’re recommending is pointless without a proper and good horse. The knees in proper position is what generates Wing Chun not the hands. Wing Chun is from the legs up not the other way.
Spot on Anthony ......."but its principles can be powerful with the right adaptations."..........Many Traditional Martial Art Practitioners walk around with a FALSE since of invisibility!!!......It takes a special mentality and insight for practitioners in many traditional martial arts to be able to "Morph" their ineffective training techniques, applications and methods to be applicable in a real nitty gritty street fight........Of course there are circumstances in which any Martial Art can work against a complete inept Barney Phife Goofball....And the last factor in being successful in a real time street fight is that it is THE INDIVDUAL AND WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF THAT MAKES A MARTIAL ART WORK IN A STREET FIGHT .
I don't think you read my comment correctly.@dnomyarakunawik38
Now you just need to use these techniques on Kevin Holland. :)
Vertical punch is so underrated I use it in sparring, it so great to get through a guard
And for MMA it's great since the gloves are smaller, it protects your hand, as it adds about an inch of surface area to punch (Fight like a Physicist the book for reference he did an experiment).
Cant wait for your fight against Holland!! Perfect matchup of style and personalities!
So cool to see this. Makes me smile.
Always felt that wing chun does have potential which can only be brought out by mixing it with something else it’s parry is good the vertical punch can go between guard while protecting your body and the sweeps and knee kicks can destroy someone but the problem is that it is only reactionary and it can’t start and it’s only combo is the chain punches which isn’t that good so that’s why if it is put with anything that can go with anything from boxing to kickboxing to Thai to better them
I'm curious to see what Kevin thinks about Alan Orr's MMA fighters.
What up everybody intro is legendary
Really a god job in a few wing chun time training. Excellent.
The problem is that with Wing Chun and some other fighting styles is, that a lot of moves are not allowed in MMA, for streetfights it can be better, but still you do need a lot of sparring somehow aswel
That's true, Lethwei you can head butt, but with that you risk brain injury
I like the many ways you use the body in punches in different martials arts.
Muay Thai has right leg behind when punching right. Twisting the body.
Wing Chun here has center punches in a repeated motion.
Bujinkan I trained in has right foot planted and you sink down while punching. Focusing on body weight carried through the punch.
Piguaquan has you throw your body forward along with the punch. Similarly to using a forward sword slash like you're throwing it. Throwing yourself with the punch.
Funnily we also practiced a barrage technique. But it was instead a three hits in succession with the retrieving hand being flat, as our defense.
Bro the speed at which you learn techniques is akin to how neo downloaded Martial arts techniques directly into his mind in the Matrix.
It's really cool how you were able to make the chain punch thing work. I'll be rooting for you on December 3rd!
How real sparring should be done! Amazing to see wonderboy control his strikes and be easy on his partner. What a great lesson for the partners
So thats where Kevin Lee fits into all of this
Thanks sir. Kevin Lee is good
It really does seem like that chain punch is a surprisingly effective way to overwhelm/distract your opponent to set up a power move.
Great seeing you try to implement something new into your style. Someone like you could make Wing Chun work in the ring, you should definitely get more lessons. Wing Chun is a lot easier to use with MMA gloves as there is a lot of open hand blocks and strikes.
So I watched some of Kevin’s Channel and I was impressed by your enthusiasm for grasping new concepts and history. On the positive side most of the time your elbows were forward of your body when executing battle punches and that’s correct for Wing Chun but the torso is squared to the opponent whereas you often Bruce Lee movie style had your shoulders perpendicular to Kevin. The reason the shoulders are squared is to reduce telegraphing. The other positive was when you battle punched - we don’t call it that in Wing Chun but I’m using it for common reference- your footwork was good you moved forward with the punches rather than being static. Lastly you can incorporate elbows into trapping hands too. It’s not only trap with one hand and punch the other. You can elbow with the other horizontal as opposed to the vertical Kevin showed you.
That trip to punch combo seems super effective
Very interesting, a lot of this stuff looks risky as hell and the scenarios for these are pretty case specific, but still cool to see
I use it in street fights. It works well but as you noticed it’s very risky especially for novice, intermediate and people who don’t have a horse. Without the horse {stance / movement } Wing Chun doesn’t work at all. It requires years of training to get a good solid horse so if someone attempts to tackle you and shoot for a takedown your horse gives you the ability to maintain position and timing to prevent being taken to the ground and without a good horse there’s no ‘power’ in the punches
Apparently when Bruce Lee would use a chain punch in a street fight, he would use it to overwhelm his opponent so he could get in close to sweep them.
He made it work!
Talent!
I know that tall guy you spar is for the preparation for Holland.. good luck champ..
This video was cool. I like how everything was set up
