I tried to go to a post office using apple maps once. When I got there I found out the place hadn’t been a post office in 3 years.
That makes sense since apple data is more than 4 years old
That's nothing!! I got an iPad as a graduation gift. Back then, according to Apple Maps, the high school I graduated from didn't exist yet, and the old high school (which is now condos and a park, and had been for over 10 years at that point) was still standing! According to Apple Maps, I literally graduated standing in the middle of an empty field!!!

Waze is the gigachad of map apps. Its only Achilles heel is slowpokes on side streets, since those streets only require one idiot to ruin everything.
I have never been more lost in my life than when Apple Maps told me to turn left when I should have turned right, then about a mile down the road said "prepare to exit your vehicle and continue on foot." This would have been difficult seeing as to the left of the road was a cliff down and to the right was a cliff up. About half a mile past the continue-on-foot point, the map simply disappeared. That night, my friend and I did everything that horror movies say we should be dead... including following the stranger from the gas station in the beater pickup who offered to lead us to our destination in the middle of the night. Multiple people almost got shot that night... THANKS Apple Maps...
One time I drove to my exact destination, it claimed that it was “getting a new route” and told me to go in a 20 mile circle

In Google maps, it’ll tell you a fast way to get home without it being too inconvenient. In Apple Maps, it will tell you the most ass backwards way to get there, going through neighborhoods making you do a bunch of turns, and the better route was just the highway

This is so true. I thought it was a joke but my wife accidentally used Apple maps instead of Google maps and it was virtually this exact scenario. It kept prompting us in circular routes, never was in real time data, and didn't even have the endpoint we inputted originally. lol. I honestly thought something was wrong with her phone, when it was just Apple maps instead of Google maps. lol.
As an Apple user I can confirm that Google Maps is the way to go

WAZE is actually pretty good so if google maps isn't doing it for you give that a try.
Honestly phone GPS seems to be more reliable and better updated than dedicated GPS these days.
@@metazoxan2 Google Maps usually works fine for me. I had another actual GPS we used a couple times after my aunts GPS broke but i seem to have misplaced that at some point so now one on a phone is the only option at the moment 🤣

Apple maps once told me to drive over a sidewalk, into a grass field and across some train tracks. I could have used google maps, had an old school GPS for when my phone shut down in the windshield because of the heat, but I used Apple as an excuse for not showing up for work at a new job. Made sure to take a screen shot of Apple Maps to show the boss the next day... And no, I didn't go off road and into some train track on purpose just to blame Crapple and get a day off... as far as my boss knew. 😉👌Seriously, I didn't. Apple maps was really broken back then, and I did use it as an excuse to not go to work that day.

Was late for work one day when in a different states office location. Was getting familiar with the route, used apple maps. I felt like I drove past the road I was supposed to be on, 2 roads later was at an abandoned warehouse. I blame myself really.

I once used apple maps to go to a mini gold course. It took me to a cul de sac 2 towns over that was only 10 minutes from the beach. Some real Nice houses, but way outside my price range.

Every time I’m telling someone else where to go with maps while I’m in the passenger seat, especially in a city, I get SO stressed, and this is terrible.
Sad that longer content gets less views. I really enjoy the longer form content rather than the shorts one. But for some reason shorts is vastly more popular.

Honestly I prefer apple maps. Very rarely it trips out and does things, but prefer it over google maps completely. Works well with carplay, easy to see, and now has alerts for cops/stuff on the road like waze.

Recently I’ve been using waze more just for the consistency of alerts, mostly cars on the side of the road and cops.
But yeah I don’t like google’s, but I have never downloaded the app tbf

one time i used apple maps and siri literally sent me in the opposite direction of where i needed to go, into another city, and wasted 30 minutes of my time, also it kept changing my route to the one i didnt want to do
Yeah I stopped being a doordasher during a “brief” 1 month interruption in the standard navigation service where they forced us to use Apple Maps instead of what we wanted. I got told to go through down a school campus road and through a locked gate no less than 10 times. Take multiple illegal turns. Get told at the last second that I was in the wrong land and so much more. But thankfully in the time I raged about it I was able to get an actual job that pays an actual salary. So thx Apple Maps?

Fun Fact: My heart stopped when I saw the Bryant Irvin Sam's Club, I go there often. Another fun fact; Don't believe me? Look at the background at 1:14. You'll see the gas station they have there. Also, 1:49, you see the highway sign. Considering the fact that I live near that area is kind of funny.

I have never actually had issues using Apple Maps. I enjoy it way more than google maps or wayze or however you spell it. However I think the navigation built into Tesla’s is the best nav system ever. Especially with FSD turned on.
Yeah Apple Maps works way better for me than google maps and Waze. Also, I don’t think Waze has traffic lights which makes it far harder to tell when to make a turn in some cases.
Tesla’s one works very well for me too and it’s basically all I use since I bought one

I use apple maps for my Domino's job and it works pretty great most of the time.. until it tries to take me to the Mopac Expressway or 183 for no reason because it assumes highways are faster than the frontage roads... completely ignoring traffic.

I do long hauls and short hauls, I've used Waze, Apple Maps, and Google Maps, as well as several independent devices... Waze is amazing if you are on populated routes with a lot of other Waze users, Google Maps is usually perfect since you can use the GPS with the Satellite images.... Apples Maps is also just fine. I drive for a living, to destination I have no clue how to get to, and have had zero issues with his at all.

Just one wrong thing, on google maps, it is way harder to understand what turn it is when there are multiple lanes, but on apple maps, it zooms in ans shows in 3d which way you need with is so much easier to understand. But google maps is still better in other ways
