After Reviewing both the Toyota Fortuner & Ford Endeavour individually and in depth this comparison test was a much needed as was frequently being asked which is better, the Endeavour or the Fortuner ? Well this comparison test should solve those doubts where both these extremely capable SUV's fight it out for a battle of supremacy.

If you want an insane Toyota the Toyota 86 and the supra are only the ones. Also for ford cars like focus Fiesta ecosport explorer are just so insane. Fiesta in Europe always outsells the yaris. Mustang has been an legacy sport car for years. Ford have been successful in wven challenging cars like tesla with there mach e . Recently I read an article which said that tesla loosing ground to mustang mach e slowly making it an alternative for tesla. Ask Toyota to make such a car . Sure they won't because they only consider the reliability of a car compared all other aspects. Such a boring piece of crap

DISADVANTAGES OF ENDEAVOUR :
1- It doesn't have push button start/stop like in fortuner & many other cheap cars like micra
2- It doesn't provide easy ingress to last row seats like in fortuner
3- It doesn't have cooled glove box like in fortuner & many other cheap cars like i-20
4- It doesn't provide sharp white coloured led head lamps like in fortuner
5- It's warranty period is 2 years while fortuner's warranty period is 3 years
6- Resale value is not so good as that of fortuner
DISADVANTAGES OF FORTUNER :
1- It doesn't provide panoramic sunroof like in endeavour
2- It doesn't provide terrain management system like in endeavour
3- It doesn't provide semi auto parallel parking assist like in endeavour
4- It doesn't provide electrically foldable 3rd row seats like in endeavour
5- Endeavour has bigger & powerful engine i.e. 3.2 than fortuner i.e. 2.8
6- It doesn't provide tyre pressure monitoring system like in endeavour & xuv 500
7- Endeavour has both front & rear parking sensors whereas fortuner has only rear parking sensors
8- It doesn't provide rain sensing wipers like in endeavour
9- Endeavour has 10 speakers while fortuner has 6 speakers
10- Endeavour's tachometer is digital while fortuner's tachometer is analog
11- Endeavour is providing electric power steering while fortuner's steering is hydraulic
12- Endeavour is providing active noise cancellation feature while fortuner doesn't
PRICING- Endeavour is expensive than fortuner with difference of Rs 50000/- approx
CONCLUSION- Endeavour is better than Fortuner

I can only imagine how difficult the editing part is since even I do motovlog videos, especially the Dual role of you reviewing both the cars together, or rather make it look like that. This is perhaps a whole new concept of reviewing cars together and you made it look really well synced with your exceptional editing and narration skills.

Middle East Fortuner is better which is a fact
The thing over here :
1.Endeavour got sunroof - Fortuner No sunroof.
2. Endeavour got 3200 Cc - Fortuner got 2800cc.
3. Fortuner got paddle shifts - Endeavour does not have.
4. Endeavour has different types terrain systems - Fortuner has 4x4 mode.
So over all endeavour has got good features but my friend the resale is what counts when you are buying expensive shit. The endeavour bought by my friend is the top varient any its just 8 months used hardly 18000 kms. He got it for 22lacs. The fortuner is the best what so ever.

When you hear some different english accent then yes it is a bit difficult to understand.
I own both the fortuner(2016 model) and the endy . The endy is far more superior than the older fortuner. When i test drove the new fortuner i was more than happy with my decision , buying a car with lesser features , power and a harsher ride quality does not make sense. Most people who have bought the fortuner is because of its precived reliability and better resale. I have covered almost 10,000 kms in my endy without facing a single issue till now . I also happen to own an A6 and can comfortably say the endy has one of the best insulated cabin , the ride quality is par excellent as well . If you want a better car for your money go with the endy .

Endeavour is far more comfortable, more stylish and amazing driving experience...Fortuner has to work hard
Fortuner is more powerful and more conformable with more features in Middle East. Indian Fortuner is nothing but it is good compared to Endeavour but in Middle East it is way better.
Endeavours is better in every aspect.. Ride quality.. Comfort.. N everything.. Just one negative thing is its weight.. They are no doubt a bad drivers.. Thats why fortuner won otherwise it can't

Thank You Sharad. But i thought its best to pitch the best variant of each against each other. Also wanted people to gain back some interests in the Manual transmission variant otherwise they would anyway just go and buy the A/T (which is anyway selling really well).

1.no keyless entry, no request sensors, no start/stop button are advantages of endeavour because of security reasons if these features are present it can be stolen.
2.the extra weight of endeavour is its body panel strength if anybody have doubt check it in crash tests between endeavour, fortuner and pajero sport.
3.I agree Japan products are technically best but American products are stronger which lasts long.

Sir i have experienced both the cars and I think Endeavour is better. Be it the comfort in driving and of passengers, the rich leathered interior when compared to dull and boring enterior of fortuner. The automatic transmission of endeavour is amazing when compared to that of fortuner. Thats one hell of a win for endeavour.

I like all your videos and I've become a fan of your reviews. I like your reviews because of your natural body language and I like the simple natural expressions that you do whenever anything happens be it rolling down of windows or thud sound from suspensions or looking up at the automatic door opening mechanism(reference Jaguar review). Everything is natural which I hardly find in other professional videos. Keep up the good work and please try to reduce the air noise from your video it is annoying.

No Problem again even if you do use often.
REMEMBER its a TOYOTA ENGINE these things may not harm the car, in fact what may harm is short trips, like say 1-2 kms. Switching on the engine, driving 1-2 kms & then reaching destination (which was just 1-2 kms away) and then shutting down the car even before the engine had warmed up.

Hi Karan - Any future idea of reviewing VW Tiguan. I know this car launched close to couple of years back in India and positioned in between Fortuner and Tucson. However it looks like an option who don't want to afford a BMW x1 or an Audi q3 or don't want a full size SUV like endy or Fortuner but a SUV with good driveability in city and feature loaded with good build quality plus an occasional off roader as well. Shed some light on this, if u can, pls..

Because video said fortuner won it but i observed that on screen it was endeavour which had less time shown...refer to 9:28 sec part for what I'm trying to ask..😊

what i learned from owning a car with a lot of features like ford is that there will always be a higher chance that one of the features breaks and will take a while to repair. unlike the simplicity in a fortuner where repairs and parts are almost never an issue.

Sir how is the gearbox of 2.2l 4x4 MT Endeavour to drive. Its unfortunate that they are not offering in 3.2l 4x4 version. I personally think for off roading stuck situations MT would be a better option. Please suggest.
Hi Pavan, i haven't driven the Endeavour 2.2L M/T so wont be able to give you feedback to be honest. BUT i agree the manual will have better control in 4x4 situations & more fun too.
Hi, I am looking at buying the Endeavour the 3.2 variant. However, I see several pictures emerging from Thailand showing a possible upgrade (Face Lift). what do you suggest should I wait for the facelift, if yes how long in your opinion would that wait be?
Hi, the facelift as you see in the pics has extremely minuscule changes as far as the exteriors are concerned. Interiors will / should get a better / faster entertainment touch screen package. Honestly i dont see this launching before 2019 as the current Endeavour was launched in 2016 Jan so its been only 2 years & Automakers would normally like to refresh around the 3 year mark. So if you dont mind waiting for another 11-12 months then wait otherwise buyin the current one would also not be a loss.

I'm looking for a full fleged SUV. I have shortlisted New Ford Endeavour 3.2 4x4 and New Fortuner 4x4 MT. My perpose if for long drives (4000-5000kms) and less for city driving. I test drove and found Endeavour a better product for ride and comfort. but at the same time fuel economy is really a big concern. Also some rliability and niggles about Endeavor.
Where as Fortuner has bullet proof reliability and outstanding ownership experience. Along with new looks and much improved interiors.
I'm going to keep this car for 8-9 years. What is your expert opinion / recommendation for long reliability and enjoyable driving experience? Is reliability or breakdown a real concern for Ford Endeavor ?

Ford is a better product in its A/T variant. BUT for long term reliability and product safety / resale in the long term the Toyota is a better pick.

Hi, the low beam is white xenons and full beam is yellow/halogens.
The Ground clearance of Fortuner is 225mm (previous gen was 221mm) Though some websites and Toyota mention around 186mm but that is laden with full load. The unladen is 225 mm same as Endeavours unladen of 225 mm.

-> If you are putting Rs 30L...you want exclusivity..you get that from Ford Endeavour. I was once standing at airport in Hyderabad.Ford Endevour stopped and every one from chicks to the cabbies were looking at the maroon giant.Just then a black brand new fortuner came by ..I keenly observed that very few looked at it.
-> Ford fucked up the Endevour with their Pricing..sometimes up and sometimes low. Toyota stands tall there..there marketing/pricing strategy is deep and correct..look at Toyota Crysta Innova still selling like hot cakes inspite of high pricing.
->The real test of the vehicles will be done by the chauffeurs. Most of these vehicles will be run by them than the owners themselves and there Toyota Fortuner stands tall. They just love it.
-> Ford has to prove itself in the aftersales..Toyota has a brilliant strategy here..any of the Toyota vehicles have low cost maintenance service charges . but parts are expensive. Ford needs to do the same..lower the service cost .
->Toyota does something very very meticulous.It ensures it has an amazing selection criteria to select the dealers. Not just someone who has money and retail space.Very disciplined approach there
I am sure Ford might not do to that level and thats the catch..If you have good and disciplined dealers you have good sales of the vehicles.But if you select some dicks for that job..u know what happens.
->Remember people always buy what others buy..why would you be so adventerous to by Ford Endevour where in ford's service is no where near Toyota.Toyota has been world no.1....................it knows and that shows.
->Vehicle wise and features wise its Ford En devour hands down.
Peace of mind wise its Toyota fortuner for sure.

Kkc i wanted help to decide which one to buy! I am not a offroader enthusiast. All i use it for factory highway driving and we as a family travel a lot. Love roadtrips. So can u suggest a better car on space for 5 bulky and sometimes 1 average traveller. And for love roadtrips we did surat delhi and are regular to surat rajasthan thats like 900 kms at a stretch. Currently we drive ertiga petrol. Vxi trim.
hi, between the 2 and ur usage pattern id suggest pick the Fortuner. Also i knw u mentioned u dont off road but buy the 4x4 as that may come handy some time (Sand Dunes bashing for instance as u travel towards RJ). Also Toyota will b favourable during resale (as u do road trims so ur running is high).
