Nice pawnshop prize. I always keep my eye open for the old peavey, fender, acoustic, mitchell, etc. solid state amps. Not for a main amp for for something to mess with and then pass on to a young player. Is that Music One Workshop? About 20 years ago got a matched pair of hardtail American Standard Strats (one with H-H, the other S-S-S) that Larry set up and worked over. He was able to pick the guitars for weight and resonance, and on one swapped out the pups for CS Robert Cray pups. Still have those guitars and they are still being played and loved. It was a great shop to work with and was one of the better guitars purchases for me.
@@hemihead392 oh awesome, yes that is Music One! I haven’t had anything worked on yet there, but they are always a pleasure to talk to when I go in to get stuff. Small world! Yeah I’m mostly in it to try to fix up and learn a little about it in the process.
@@mikeforner7797 haven’t tried the 25R, but looks like same wattage and speaker. No footswitch on 25r, but frankly the pedal on the reverb 25 is pretty useless.
@aaronfullers1 I do have the 25R...replaced the speaker with a celestion (ten 30) interesting tones, from blues to metal.. It is nice to have laying around to plug in...when you don't want to deal with plugging into a house shattering box of thunder
@@mikeforner7797 Nice. Yeah this amp is convenient for having around and just tucking in a corner when not using. And sounds decent enough… not sure how it would hold up in a jam session? What I really want to find is the early 80’s Super Champ, but I doubt I’ll ever find one on the cheap.
@@aaronfullers1Those original super champs are quite nice for a number of reasons, but they use a 6c10 tube which has become rare and increasingly expensive to replace when it gives up the ghost

If Aaron wore a suit & wore a white cowboy hat, he would look like Junior Brown!
how does this amp differ from the Fender 25R?
