Yeah but by helping the Stormcloaks win the war you also help them seperate Skyrim from the empire, which in turn means that Skyrim isn't under the empires protection anymore so the elves could do whatever they wanted and Skyrim would be helpless because its resources and manpower is severly exhausted after the great war and the civil war, that would also weaken the empire once the war with the Aldmeri Dominion picks up again. TL;DR : Helping the Stormcloaks lowers the chances of winning against the elves in the long run
@Pinkel Wurst Ulfric is near-sighted megalomaniac that only cares for the high throne of Skyrim and disguises his power lust as a stand "for the Nords". The Thalmor have been using Ulfric as a tool for furthering their agenda for years, and although Ulfric isn't entirely cooperative, he is at least somewhat aware of this. The Thalmor don't need the Empire at its height of strength again for the next war, hence starting and maintaining a proxy war in Skyrim to at least distract and damage some of the Imperial forces while also preventing an entirely new region from being brought into the Imperial alliance. Even then, Ulfric still pushes on. However, the massive and powerful forces waiting for the clearing of the Pale Pass ingame would decimate the Stormcloaks, but even then Ulfric wants to see if he can get to the seat first. Fuck Ulfric.
What?? the seat of Skyrim will always be a nord the only difference is if it is supported by the empire or not. It is true what the guy said about ulfric he is thirsty 4 the crown not mentioning the fact he used the way of the voice in a vile and forbidden way... to show off his strength and to use it as a means to war. You claim he is a Nord and that is true, but you can't ever say he is one with honor or a Nord to follow. He is short-sighted, doesn't understand the motives the empire has, the reasons they T E M P O R A R I L Y banned the woship of Talos until they fight with the Thalmor again. If they lose, the Thalmor takes Cyrodiil, then Skyrim. If they win they unify all the "human" provinces AND bring back the worship of Talos. If you are willing to follow a man as stubborn as Ulfric then I guess you guys share in that stubborness.
What wonderful storytelling. I literally put this on as a bedtime story for my self ,a grown man,. You should make more like this of the other storylines ie: Cival war, both sides; thieves guild/nightingales; dragonborn; etc. I think you'd do a great job

Puts the main story of this game in perspective, and just shows how much of a masterpiece it is. Planning on doing something of the likes for the oblivion and morrowind games? and for the expansions. not mandatory though, this one is masterfull as it is.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it a masterpiece. The setting is very nice, the story is okay, but the plot is generally lacking because you are shoehorned into a role that shouldn't be yours to begin with. It didn't flow as naturally as Morrowind's, or felt significant like Oblivion's.
Owl bro people like you will always find something to complain about. Skyrim is about as perfect as it’s gonna get (especially for 2011). Of course no game can truly be “perfect” but Skyrim is 100% a masterpiece, even with its downfalls.
@@Bbknuckles its a good game not a masterpiece its so far stripped down from the ambitions of the previous games the story is ok and the gameplay is ok, it was good for 2011 but it could have been a lot more. but Todd Howard is set on stripping away things from these games that he deems supliferous. I hope TES 6 is as good as it can be.
I will always remember meeting Paarthunax for the first time, I had wanted to get a closer look at the dragons since the watch tower and learning his back story and that damn quote that broke my young early teen mind. Needless to say that when the blades demanded that I killed him they were lucky to be set as essential.
I would, but it's a bit long. I'll just stick to Vode An. Or if anyone can just sum it up to, "Some guy took the souls of dragons and used them to kill the big one that was trying to invade heaven," I'll watch that.
Septimus isn't mad only because he read elder scrolls, though it doesn't help. He is mad in part due to his pact with hermaes mora, the daedric prince who hoardes knowledge from mankind, and offers it to them in exchange for either becoming his eternal servants in oblivion (miraak), gathering more secrets for him to hoard and/or losing their sanity (septimus). whether or not you want to serve hermaes is irrelevant to him. He is masterful at manipulating the world in such ways that you end up doing him favors because you need to accomplish what he wants you to for reasons that have nothing to do with him. Mora doesn't care for mortals at all and like most daedric princes, he just likes messing around with mortals. Daedra are essentially just gods who don't like mortals or mess with them. There are plenty of beings who are either neutral or like mortals present in the planes of oblivion as well. The 8 original divines are just the ones who participated in the creation of the world.
Then again, considering a Dragon desires power... You would think becoming a Vampire Lord would entice the Dragonborn. Alas, tis' but a legend we'll find out sooner or later. (I'd like to think something similar to the Dragon Break will happen where both events happened anyway. Such as the destruction of Fort Dawnguard/Castle Volkihar.)
Actually, on the thought of it, let me come back to speak about it. There's a trailer with Lord Harkon mostly speaking. About which side you'll take. Considering the trailer mostly delves into the Volkihar vampires and the end of the trailer has the Dragonborn approach the audience with glowing eyes, it's a good bet he sides with them. Not saying it's canon, but a _very_ likely good chance he does. Power is what dragons strive for, yes? So does the Dragonborn, right?
The goal of the vampires in Dawnguard is to take over the world and blot out the sun, yes? Isn't that one thing that the dragonborn is against and trying to stop, world domination? If the Dawnguard wins, the future remains largely unchanged, and as it was. But if the Vampires win, we will see future games tell of how the sun was blotted out and vampires took over skyrim. Its only logical that the dragonborn chose the dawnguard, because its considered canon that hes not evil. This isn't like the civil war where both sides have an equal chance of winning, if the vampires win that will be a MAJOR canon event, one that I am not sure bethesda would want.
The Dragonborn is trying to stop _Alduin_ as part of his destiny, there's nothing saying he isn't evil nor good. A hero of one side is never said to be a hero for the other. Since Auriel's Bow would be in the Dragonborn's possession, he could occasionally use the bow to blot out the sun (as in, he uses it every month or half a year so the crops don't get enveloped). On the other hand, the Last Dragonborn isn't a vampire in the Dragonborn DLC trailer (if it even showed him) so it's likely he either cured it or there is a possible chance he sided with the Dawnguard. We'll only know once ESVI is released. Who is to say both events are canon and they wiped each other out huh?

The Drangonborn does NOT have a dragon brain just a dragon soul and dragon blood. The actual reason he/she can understand the shouts is because when they absorb a dragon soul they also absorb the dragon's knowledge and understanding that is also why you don't need a dragon soul to unlock the Dragonrend shout.

That's how my OC is, he's a High Elf who originally was a Thalmor infiltrator who even Elenwen wasn't informed about. His name is Tharon, full name agent Valandil Tharon Isilrah, which is my Elven name. After a short while he became good, turned against the Aldmeri Dominion and saw his own government as a threat to all other life. So he became a Talos worshipper himself and came to believe in Talos as a god, after arriving in Skyrim he came to see the beauty of Skyrim and have a deep understanding and connection to its people. He would become a hero who would put all of Skyrim's people first, their savior, who defeated Alduin, the vampire menace and Miraak, and fight for Justice.

Truly this is a very true to lore, dedicated and a really good summary of the original story of TESV. It's also a very well done video. It's good to see that this game is very much alive and is still holding up with the times, even if it's 7 years old. And as TESVI is still years away, it's still good to revisit the game again. Congrats to you good sir!
Well simply put that to this day 2019, 8 years after Skyrim was released there still havent been a game half as good, and people still play the game thanks to how good it is and especially the mods!!!! My god this was a mega mega mega good game when it was released hope that we someday in the future when we revolted and MURDERED the industry destroyers aka mmo creators and mmo games the gaming industry will once more be about making good games and not about making trash mmo's for the money then will see a new Elders Scrolls game just as modable and just as good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m gonna go ahead and say, in my opinion, the witcher 3 is a far superior game to Skyrim in basically every way and that doesn’t mean skyrim isn’t good, it is, its one of the games of the decade for sure but I truly believe everything skyrim does the witcher does infinitely better in basically every way.
You got it wrong. The Empire didn't lose the Great War, it was a stalemate after the Battle of the Red Ring and the ferocious resistance against the Dominion in Hammerfell which left half of the Elven army in ruins.
Technically, since they conceded to the Dominion(The White-Gold Concordat), they lost by forfeit. Source: elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Great_War_(Book)
They didn't concede. To many imperials, it probably felt like they lost but the continuation of the resistance in Hammerfell (thus voiding that term of the concordat that gave half of Hammerfell to the Dominion) probably made some of the Talmor think the same way. Not to mention that Talos worship was only partially banned. The Thalmor also had to fork over a massive amount of gold (Treaty of Versailles style). Lastly, you have to remember that elves live a long ass time in elder scrolls to every elven death was several lifetimes of existence abruptly ended. The elven people hated the war as much as the Empire and were prepared to sacrifice quite a lot to end it. Both sides would've felt like they won and lost. The Empire is still the economic power of the world and the Thalmor is not really leading in anything. Their military might is roughly even, the Empire is richer them the Dominion, and the Empire controls more people than the Dominion. When you hear Delphine say "We thought we were no match for them... we were wrong," that works both ways.
Kwa ndo But, wait, isn’t he? The Graybeards say something about it. It’s the reason why Dragonborn are aloud to use shouts whenever and the graybeards use them for worship of Kynareth (who gave man the ability to learn shouts through extensive training).
The Empire had to give up huge portions of Hammerfell to the dominion and the Redguards got so mad about it that they began their own war with the Elves. Titus II completely renounced Hammerfell as an Imperial province. So the Empire not only lost one of their people's most prominent religious figures for worship, they lost a lot of land. And there's the Thalmor agents that get to run around Skyrim spying on everyone. So I would say the Empire did lose the war. The Aldmeri lost a lot less than the Imperials. Besides, it wasn't on Elf soil that it happened. Technically there was no winner but in terms of loss and gain it's very one sided.
I think the most stupid and funniest thing with the Blades was I recruited (I forget his name) the guy from The Companions who's a wolf into the Blades. only then for him to try and kill me for being and Turning into a Wolf.
This was an amazing summary I've learned so much and I'm glad to know that these dragons actually have names I don't think I ever paid attention to that I first put this game down because I thought it was an interesting wasn't good at all but this turned out to be one really great game

What?? the seat of Skyrim will always be a nord the only difference is if it is supported by the empire or not.
@Pinkel Wurst High King Torygg was a nord... And so is the Queen?

What wonderful storytelling. I literally put this on as a bedtime story for my self ,a grown man,. You should make more like this of the other storylines ie: Cival war, both sides; thieves guild/nightingales; dragonborn; etc.

The 8 original divines are just the ones who participated in the creation of the world.
wasnt there that one daedra who was basically a prankster with a deeper meaning in one of the quests in the game

Pakura Momochi the vile the only choice is vampire or Dawnguard, and it makes much more sense for the generic hero to go with the Dawnguard.

The actual reason he/she can understand the shouts is because when they absorb a dragon soul they also absorb the dragon's knowledge and understanding that is also why you don't need a dragon soul to unlock the Dragonrend shout.

this character: parry this you filthy casuals

This guy has so many things wrong, saying that akatosh is the creator of the dragonborn how wrong can you be..
Kwa ndo
But, wait, isn’t he?
That was an amazing narration and a well made video. I loved the sounds and the voice and the story was told really well, big thumbs up
