I hate how some people disregard someone's hard work just because it didn't live up to their expectation. I used to do well in school, the highest I would get is 9-8 and the lowest was 6, but it dropped to 4 which is failed and had to retake classes. Even then, I was barely holding on because of depression. But I still made it out of school. Smh, these kinds of people are just so annoying. It made me feel like they only see value in someone based on their grades. Having low grades doesn't automatically means you're a failure, and definitely doesn't define a person.
Ikr? The people in this comment section are disgusting and obviously not old enough to realise how little value GCSEs of all things have in the real world. I can’t blame these kids too much though, since I know teacher indoctrination has a lot to do with how much value they’re putting on their grades over their free time, but it really does bring me back to how stressed I was over GCSEs and it makes me want to vomit. This girl passed and because it didn’t meet other peoples expectations, they want to drag her down and flex how “smart” they are in comparison to her. In reality though, the people who choose not to kill themselves over GCSEs and decide to enjoy their last year of school are in much better positions. Ridiculous

Oh my God I can’t believe you just got your GCSE results I thought you were a lot older than that but my sister just got them too you did so well great job
There's a lot of really cruel comments in here. This is why there is stigma about sharing grades, when in all reality a lot of people get similar grades to what this student got, but most of what is shown online is just people who do really well. Remember, grades do not define your intelligence or how hard you worked, just how well you did on that specific exam. If these are good grades for her, she should be proud. That is what matters. Your GCSEs can be important, but it isn't the end of the world if you don't do very well. I just graduated with a first class degree and have been accepted into a PhD program, despite literally failing my maths a level, and I can tell you that high school exams really do not determine success in higher level academia. One of the highest performing students at my uni failed her Scottish highers, became a hairdresser (which is a great career, just not for her) and years later went travelling. She randomly met a marine biologist and helped his research, fell in love with it, went back to night school to do HNC's (a high school level qualification in Scotland that can be done as a mature student) and got into every marine biology degree program in Scotland. She got A's in every module at uni, got a prestigious internship and hired by them straight out of uni. Similarly my brother is probably the smartest person I know, and despite getting some pretty bad results in school, having to retake most exams, he did very well at uni, got a very prestigious journalistic fellowship and is now a respected up-and-coming writer. Some of the smartest people i know (including some of my professors) did not do well in high school exams, because for many people they simply do not measure intelligence. There is also nothing wrong with not being intelligent ( and it's honestly bullshit the shame people have for not being academically gifted), and people perpetuating the idea that a lack of academic success is a bad thing/moral failing often rely on classist and abelist assumptions. At the end of the day, it's always more important to be kind than smart (to slightly misquote Harvey). You are a full and worthy person regardless of your grades, and can we please stop shitting on people and giving unsolicited comments on their grades.
@Purple Sorcerer hopefully you can find friends who don't engage in this toxic culture, or your current friends cease making you feel bad. There is literally nothing wrong with not being academically gifted. Our society only functions due to the people in it having different and diverse talents, interests and careers. Some of those contributions are unfortunately celebrated far more than others, but it doesn't mean all are not important.
I mean, it’s not difficult to get above a pass with decent effort even if your not gifted, this was just a bit poor in terms of a general standpoint but eh
I mean most people are probably being mean to the people attempting to congratulate her for failing some of her GCSEs I’m currently taking mine and I’ve just got to say, even with my attendance being under 50% (personal and medical reasons I’m trying to raise it) its still possible to pass my GCSEs with minimal to moderate effort She’s also become popular through things such as povs and tiktoks which from my understanding she posts regularly and spends a lot of time on If she was truly trying her best she would not have failed her GCSEs, especially her core subjects as they’re the ones you spend the most time on in school She’s also acting as if these are acceptable grades to get and acts as if she’s expecting applause for them, when they’re actually kind of (pardon my language) really shitt There’s not a high chance any further education would take her and failing English means she couldn’t even work at McDonalds These aren’t good grades that she should be proud of, even if she tried her best I’m sorry if that sounds mean but it just really isn’t good enough to be failing and barely passing most things
I‘m proudd you passed you can be proud of yourself don’t let yourself get dragged down by those unhappy people who make anything about grades i‘m with you on those results it’s nice to see there are people like me

I'm going to try and explain this grading system note #1: I don't want to hear any "but I'm from the UK and this isn't the grading system I have" this is the grading system she used in the video and I'm just explaining it ok? note #2: In most cases the pass mark is grade/level 4 but it depends on the exam board and the average grade of other students taking the same test so it can be raised or lowered it goes 9 is the highest and 1 is the lowest 1 - equivalent to a F/G and is a cause for concern 2 - E and is also a cause for concern 3 - D, experiencing difficulty 4 - C, basic knowledge and understanding (normally the pass mark) 5 - C, secure 6 - B, good 7 - A, excellent 8 - A*/A+, excellent 9 - A**/A++ so she did okay I think she passed all Edit: I saw a video she made "talking to my younger self" it was called and she said she passed all of her gcses except shakespeare edit: also please don't say her grades are bad. Alot of people have learning problems and find it more difficult to get higher grades, so for some people a 5 or 6 could be an amazing achievement for them. And yes, this may not be the case but you never know.

We ALL went through Covid and we didn't get this bad ass grades... it's fine to just admit she's a failure academically, I'm sure she's great at other things like acting. Not everyone's destiny/goal is to be a scientist/lawyer/...
The UK grade system took covid into account by making the last 2 years of gcse grade boundaries lower so it's easier to pass this year they made it higher but it doesnt make sense because there is still alot of peopel affected like the year 10s who missed year 7 opportunities due to covid and year 8 was the same year 9 was terrible because of all the strikes affecting kids learning as a year 10 we only have started learning a lot of things at the same time but unlike her who had lower grade boundaries they are making ours way stricter because we are no longer the "covid year" everyone was affected it's not an excuse
Why is everyone talking about her grades and how they have such high standards and that no one should be congratulating her-like she is just trying to share her grades with us it does not matter. A well earned worked for passing grade is so much more impressive that an easy good grade. It's the work and effort that goes in that deserves the most respect, the results are just numbers
C'mon - it is CLEAR she didn't study anywhere near enough - you don't get a 3 in science and and a 4 in geography if you somewhat tried your best
@@louis-nz8ce academic skills are like athletic skills. @puppy25z87 also fact she was predicted more than that completely proves my point - I missed that at first.

I’m currently taking mine and I’ve just got to say, even with my attendance being under 50% (personal and medical reasons I’m trying to raise it) its still possible to pass my GCSEs with minimal to moderate effort
She’s also become popular through things such as povs and tiktoks which from my understanding she posts regularly and spends a lot of time on
If she was truly trying her best she would not have failed her GCSEs, especially her core subjects as they’re the ones you spend the most time on in school
She’s also acting as if these are acceptable grades to get and acts as if she’s expecting applause for them, when they’re actually kind of (pardon my language) really shitt
There’s not a high chance any further education would take her and failing English means she couldn’t even work at McDonalds

edit: also please don't say her grades are bad. Alot of people have learning problems and find it more difficult to get higher grades, so for some people a 5 or 6 could be an amazing achievement for them. And yes, this may not be the case but you never know.
4 is a D, 5 is a C, 6 is a B, 7 is an A, 8 is an A* And 9 is an A**
Officially, a 5 is in-between a C and a B.
Nope. She didn’t pass one of her English’s
@@Mintgumery ah okay thanks
@@jessh1234 pretty sure she didn’t pass one of her sciences either
Some of y'all are being really rude not all of us can get all 9s. I've never got a 9 in my life and I'm fine with it. Pls stop saying that she did really bad and that you would cry if you got those grades, no one actually cares how smart you are so stop making her feel bad she must have been proud enough to post them anyway
Womp womp
I would be relieved if I passed with those grades, but I wouldn't share them online.
@@Odurs well she did?
U guys have to remember that everyone had to go through covid for 2 years and she tried her best and passed! so well done 😁
I doubt she tried her best and probably just spent all her time making tiktoks
@@ratkingpowie7048You dont know that
We ALL went through Covid and we didn't get this bad ass grades... it's fine to just admit she's a failure academically, I'm sure she's great at other things like acting. Not everyone's destiny/goal is to be a scientist/lawyer/...
She didn’t even pass on most of them and will have to retake English if she wants to do anything. It’s a harsh truth but it’s reality.
If she seems to be fine with her grades then let her be, stop trying to put her down for your benefits it helps literally no one for you to say “you nearly passed it I got those grades my parents would be so mad” like okay and!?!?
Because she genuinely seems proud of them💀
Someone is salty that she failed 💀
@@donkesquared7837is it wrong to be proud of yourself?? maybe it is because her grades improved thats why shes happy ?
@@slicedcabbage She's in the right age to do her gcse, and I know people do have high standards but she barely passes by a point or 2 in most of them... But looking at the bright side, she didn't fail 😊

@@ThePeaceBeach i didn't like my own comment and I didn't even mean it in an offensive way- i think its obvious that its not a good job but that isn't even hating, that's a fact, so if u wanna encourage her u can atleast say "u can always improve" or smth like that
Why are people being rude? She did her best, and that's all that matters ❤
OMG WELL DONE. In my school, the average pass is like 4 or 5. Although when I do my gcse imma try to get 9s
Omg yes! Well done! I did mine this year too but I had panic attacks before them so I couldn't really concentrate

Y’all need to be nicer. She’s trying her best if she has the guts to come out here and post this. Also, some things are harder for different ppl so maybe she just had trouble in some of these things.
That’s just how it works. If you post something on tbe internet even if it’s super wholesome, just expect hate. It’s like telling the whole world to not have war. It’s inevitable. Plus she had it coming, her results are pretty bad (justt saying)

i get it that you're aiming high but do you really want to base your life on a bunch of numbers? Most high achievers in college end up becoming average workers when they're older anyways.
i admire you for sharing with the whole world knowing it could get hate, im so proud of you for these, i know you worked so hard for it
but those are literally so shit 💀
I dont
Just focus on your mental health and try your best. That’s really all that matters.
these comments are really gross, all you people studied so hard but couldnt even learn basic human empathy. Im so happy for her that she passed all these exams and if youre not the least you could do is not be rude for no reason💀 nobody cares about your high grades if youre a crappy human
Why are you rewarding mediocracy? Should just barely skating by be the new standard?
@@Seamstress_ Because things that are mediocre to you can be HUGE achievements to others! For example people with depression can struggle just to brush their teeth or shower, and while that might seem crazy to you it's some people's reality! And you know the worst part? Most of the time they have no control over it!
Similar to this people with adhd, depression, paralysing anxiety or just about anyone who has a hard time remembering information can REALLY struggle with passing tests and exams - that's why when they DO pass, it's an incredible achievement and should be celebrated! Hope that helps

@woozle
1. Imagine reducing the hard work of students to a number. I'm not obsessing over the numbers.Numbers are a reflection of hard work, and if she's making tiktoks all day there's not much time to work hard.
2. Those grades aren't decent. They're bad. Decent means okay. Barely passing and failing some isn't okay, it's barely acceptable even.
3. No one is talking about people with physical or mental impairments. In fact, your example further proves how (1) hard work pays off and (2) people who are blessed to have no issues as such waste their time and get shit grades.
