My lovely Robin ♥️♥️♥️♥️😃😃😃. During this winter, once I saw a Robin on my balcon. I put some bread and since that moment It came every single day, even more... Every day I put some bread/ biscuits/cakes... I used to wait for them and my days run happier.. Now they migrated, since 2 months and I miss them a lot, but hopefully they will come back next winter. ♥️♥️♥️.. This drawing seems a realistic photograph of my Robin.
They are such wonderful birds, so friendly and brave. If you search 'how to train a robin to eat out of your hand' you will find loads of great advice. Take care and enjoy the company of these amazing beautiful birds. Thank you.
@@DavePortersArt i wonder if they would come to eat on my hands... Some of them were so afraid of people. That 's why I didn' t move when they were eating. I really love they... ♥️♥️♥️
I will be doing another of my favourite English wild birds... the Blackbird. I have a Kingfisher video Part1 and part 2 here is the link for part 1 ua-cam.com/video/Z7upxFX8pQo/v-deo.html Thanks for watch Maria! 🙏
Hi Merv... thank you... I have re-edited this video longer and slower footage where you can see every mark I make for my Patreons. Link is in the description if you would like more information about joining. 😊🙏

Hi Chris... really appreciate you letting me know how you feel about the video. Thrilled you love my style and work. Thank you for planning to watch more of them. Cheers! 😊🙏
Oh my....I just adore this little Robin and you've captured it so well here. Thank you so much for your teaching videos. They are so helpful! I'm really enjoying your patreon! Wonderful! 🥰
This was amazing to watch, thank you. Not just another tutorial... adding even more impact for me, was your verbal inclusion of other colour combinations to produce shadows & depth etc. I didn't want it to end...Fascinating. This is the first video of yours I've seen & 'subscribed' half way through. I'll be watching more & looking into your patreon in the future. Oh, and it was a delight watching your beautiful little Robin come to life too🤗 Thanks.
aww thank you so much Chrysalis for you wonderful kind words. So thrilled you enjoyed watching the Robin develop. It will be wonderful to welcome you to Patreon. There is a 4 hour video on Patreon of this robin painting which gives you a more in depth look at my technique. Thanks for exploring my channel... much appreciated. All the very best... take care 😊🙏
Thank you so much... I have schedule this Robin as my next 4 hour video which will be added beginning of next month (June). I have quite a few I'm adding eventually. The eye one, the hair, the nose, the wrinkles one, the recent shadow study plus many more. I post two videos a month on Patreon. One 4 hour video and a step by step video. So keep a look out for them. ☺🙏
i appreciate your wildlife and landscape videos. i understand you are into portraiture right now. looking forward to your next landscape or wildlife piece. does your little brid still come around for a handout?😂 love your selection of music. great advice on shadow work. thanks again for all your time in making these videos.😊❤ Jill C. I am considering having a change from portrait soon. Sadly, the Little Robin was taking either by a cat or a Sparrow Hawk that feeds regularly on the zillion sparrow I have on my garden. I have another one that I am trying to tame for this year 🤞Thanks for the feedback... you are welcome Jill... more to come. 🙏

Thankyou, thankyou... you are what I've been searching for. I adore birds and have painted in pencil and watercolour with success, and now can't wait to try my pastel pencils. Do you use Pastelmat?
Hi Jan... you are very welcome. Pastelmat is my favourite and I prefer to use it with all my pastel work now. If you check out my description under the video you will see a list of materials I use. Take care and all the very best with your art journey 😊🙏
HI Cherry, thank you so much for loving my videos... much appreciated. Yes, it is putting no pressure on the pencil, just let it glide over the surface leaving a dusting of pigment. Will be creating a video to go in more detail on how I apply the glaze soon. 🙏

Just love your videos. When you say glaze over do you mean a very light application?
HI Cherry, thank you so much for loving my videos... much appreciated. Yes, it is putting no pressure on the pencil, just let it glide over the surface leaving a dusting of pigment. Will be creating a video to go in more detail on how I apply the glaze soon. 🙏
Love watching your videos, the little bird was so sweet, but please explain what you mean by saying...make sure your values are correct
Thanks for watching them 😊 I have a video in my channel all about the value system... please check it out 🙏
What do you use to blend the pastels
I blend using my fingers meanly or pencil on pencil... Will be doing a video about this in detail at some point. 🙏
Beautiful robin 💗. Did you blend the robin much? As I watched the tutorial a few times and didn’t notice any blending ,only on the background
Hi Chrissy... thank you. I used pencil over pencil to blend the Robin with an occasional dab with a finger. Background I used my fingers. 🙏
@@DavePortersArt thanks Dave👍🏻. I’m just in the middle doing my tame robin ,needed some guidance 👍🏻
@@MsTigergirl1 all the very best. 😊🙏
why aren't you using the glassine paper which you keep on Advertising!
I only use it when it is necessary to use it.
Ngl... for years i assumed pastels were like soft chalk stick sorta things
It is amazing what brands of pencils are available now. in the 70's I only was aware of Conté à Paris ones. 🙏
Dommage que je comprenne pas toutes les explications mon anglais est trop nul
