Thanks for the review! I was not imprest by the lady grey till I saw the nightshot from the gas station. It seems to work a lot better at night. I really enjoy the look of the Berlin 400 but the light leaks worry me a bit.. Great video as always!
Thank you for watching 🙂 That's fair enough, Tom did well with that composition! I think we will probably be taking it out for a spin at night at some point 🙂 Stay safe, happy shooting ✌️
I love the boat shots I did see the light leaks but I think it gives it alot of character !! I agree with josh on that pots dam feels like it's more contrasty than lady gray I've heard that it's repackaged orwo film ?
Hey Oliver, hope you're well! We have heard that... We didn't want to speculate too much but they still seemed good to us 🙂 thank you very much as always! It's something we always take for granted but I do love being near the sea!! 🙂 Take care! Happy shooting ✌️
I had similar issue with my film and it turned out that it was development issue. Not enough agitation allowed the developer to settle more on the bottom of the tank resulting in more development on the edge.
Hey! That's very interesting... I've never had that problem with any other black and white film before. That might well be the problem then. Thanks for watching and commenting! We really appreciate it!
Tried Berlin 400, not a good experience. Overexposed, underexposed n normal exposure with same results...MUDDY. I have a roll of earl Grey iso 100, so hopefully better results. I do love their color stocks...and continue to use them. Great video n commentary!
It seems to be a mixed bag with Berlin. As I said I kind of liked it, it's grown on me. I think it needs a little extra exposure to thrive, I've got another roll of it which I'm going to test very soon to solidify my opinion on it 😂 Lomos colour stocks are great... Lomo 800 in particular is a must if you haven't shot it already ☺️ Thank you very much for watching and commenting! It's really appreciated. All the best! Stay safe, happy shooting ✌️ J&T
I’ve used these films a few times to try for the 60s look you mentioned. They are not the most contrasty films, but you could push a stop to increase it. I didn’t see light leak problems though. lomography aren’t claiming to compete with tmax or something so i always shoot it as a fun or experimental film (not paid shoots). This way if it’s not the best no problem but if it’s good i still win. Nice work mates.
I've just got a couple more rolls so might have to push it and see what happens 🙂 interesting that you didn't get light leaks... It was a bright day so it could well of been something we did! You're right there though, I never like to compare them to the big black and white films out there, it was more a comparison of price than quality. But as we said, I'm still fairly impressed with these particular stocks 🙂 thanks for watching and commenting. Really appreciate the support! Stay safe, happy shooting ✌️
I've not tried Lomography B&W 120 films but I had the same experience with Lomography's colour 120 film in ISO 400 and redscale with uneven light across the frame. When I took it out of the camera it just didn't seemed to be rolled tight enough compared to Ilford and Rollei that I have used, so maybe it's a problem with the rolling?
That's interesting... We have shot our fair share of colour film from lomography and haven't had a problem so far. It may well just be something that we did, as you said where it's not rolled tight enough 🤔 Thank you for watching and commenting. Stay safe, happy shooting ✌️
That Berlin looks very cool. I'm going to have to give it a try. Great Vids guys!
The Berlin is cool, it's grown on me a lot since shooting this roll. Thanks for watching ☺️ happy shooting!

I have to admit I love Berlin and Potsdam I have both formats Potsdam is similar to Orwo UN53
Lomo Earl Grey / Lady Grey are basically Foma 100 / 400
Beautiful shots altogether! I'd love to have the sea nearby myself.

Berlin suits moody subjects, and is good at golden hour, but too many types of light just don't suit it.

Lady Grey is Fomapan 400, but what is Berlin known as when its manufacturer is selling it?
