Enjoy your videos so much. I have a question about the resin. You say its a 1 to 1. I do a volume one to one. Its what I thought I was supposed to do. But your doing something different? Or do you just do volume than weigh it? I've only been doing this for about 6 mths. So learning. But have been trying to do something everyday

Hey Julie! Mind blown!! When you were doing the "dots", I was thinking about how you did them in the other blooms where they looked like the flower stamens but I didn't realize how it would truly look with all of them covering the whole thing. Lol And WOW...there it was!! This is so amazing and the glitter in that gorgeous rich purple looked just beautiful shimmering in the sunlight!! The 3D effect is so mesmerizing...BRAVO!! Big Question! I was saw a video where a guy drops resin in shampoo to make pearls but haven’t watched. It reminded me of this beauty. So when you are making the drops around and around you are getting some “drag” and I was wondering if you have ever tried using, for better precision, a disposable higher gauge Hypodermic needle? So, the rule of thumb is the lower the number the bigger the needle (opening). I’m wondering if it would flow correctly and not glob up! Just wondering here in the US at 5:32 EST!
    Thoughts? ❤

Good morning, Julie! I think your fireworks pieces are gorgeous! I attempted one, but the dots in the middle didn’t spread like the ones on the edges. I followed the directions about how many minutes I should wait to let the resin warm up, as well as how long to wait before adding inks and pigment paste. I used the medium viscosity resin by Let’s Resin, as well as their brand of alcohol inks and pigment paste. Do you have any other tips for me? Thank you again for all of your amazing videos! How is your heater different from a standard blow dryer for hair? Can a blow dryer be used instead if thats all I have? Im not sure that I'm convinced that I'm going to like thix medium enough to make any kind of investment. I love hand blown glasz, but somehow I dont think this is going to get me too excited. But, I figured it may surprise me and was zt least worth an experiment or two. Maybe I can find some other use for it, that may be appropriate.
One of my very favorite projects is to make glass Night Lights using dichroic glass in hiding the hardware behind an opaque strip of glass. I have seen a few that have been molded, shaped, or blown into Petals of a flower. But being that I do not have a kiln or anything more than basic glass working materials I haven't been able to fully research how to best accomplish this lovely look. I'm also concerned about the durability of something so delicate
The examples that inspired me , are currently used by a company whose name I will insert here, placeholder, when I find it again. It is currently used to incorporate small amounts of cremation Ash. It is primarily an artistic representation for the honoring and rembrance of a departed loved one. I'm told it only takes a very small amount of Ash, which can be that of a beloved human or a beloved pet. Do they have a huge Art Studio with a large blowhole as well as the equipment to roll shape and blow art glass. I will have to find a studio with an artist who is familiar with the process and willing to assist me, as I learn more about the process. They also have Kilns and are able to work with both dichroic and opaque and dichroic glass as well. If I decide to do this on a bigger scale, it would eventually turn into a very major Financial investment. major investment

I love your work, but I find it super concerning that you're doing this without proper face PPE. Mixed resin is incredibly toxic even when it says non-toxic and can lead to horrible lung scarring. And showing this to a large audience as though it's ok just leads to more people doing this kind of work without proper protection.

1 : 1 resin means you need to use _exactly_ the same weight of both parts. i.e. that is what will make sure it's all completely reacted. If you use a different ratio, you can very easily end up with liquidy/sticky parts, which are not safe to touch.
