You could a half round or a full round Styrofoam ball and use glue dots or tape to secure it. You can use crushed ice cubes or even AB crystals for extra sparkles. Really like the ghost. Very cute
The styrofoam half ball was the first thing I thought! I was relieved that I wasn’t the only one! I trust all of you more than I trust myself! I love the light!
To get a smooth round top, flip the cup over with the flat bottom down. Then insert a light bulb in the cup. You could elevate the bulb with something like paper toweling to build the height of each ghost.
LOVE IT!!!!!! I would probably just do the googly eyes and an oval for the mouth. I might see if I could do some sort of speech bubble with BOO on it. Definitely going to make a few of these, it is soooo cute.
I love this idea and you don't even need a mold. I see the possibility of making a melting snowman too. Two Styrofoam balls on top of each other but have to find a way to gather it under the top snowball.... but cute cute. I love this.
This little guy is too cute for his own good. The way you had it drip in a puddle so he can stand on his own was great. Maybe seed beads around the bottom? The multi colored lights were fun. Someone suggested a night light cute idea. You are so talented, thanks for sharing.❤
I tried to drape things like this once. I went back in one hour and the thing was totally cured rock hard. It was pretty warm in the room. So I had a round tray. LoL
I make these. They are fun to work with! Yours came out great like usual Julie :) I use small beads or crushed glass for the bottom. I made one with some chunky glitter but I wasn’t a fan of how it looked. For the base I got a styrofoam cylinder and a styrofoam ball and attached it with toothpicks and tape. I cut the cylinder down tho because it was too tall. And the resin absolutely has to touch the bottom or you get stringy looking sheet effects and it don’t look as good as it pooling at the bottom. I use googly eyes too when I want a more “cutesy” kinda look. Super fun project to make. Happy resining everyone
Leave the plastic in it! You could paint a thin layer of resin over the spots that you can see the plastic. Then, lights in it would look incredible! I am loving this ghost!!❤❤❤
Super cute idea, Julie! I probably would have just used polymer clay to make the head shape since I have a ton of it laying around my craft room. It’s not soft like foam clay so it would hold its shape really well. Plus if I was going to make more than one ghost I could just bake the clay head and use it over and over.
Stand a ladle up in a crock (so it’s straight) and drape the resin over it? This year, I’m challenging myself to do all our classroom art projects with found/recycled materials, so I’m thinking in these terms. :)
Your ghostie is adorable and I love it. You could use 1 of the halves of the clear baubles you use for shakers to add a dome on top of the cup. All the best, Diane xx
Julie I hope u se this and try it. If you want your glitter to not sink put one drop per ounce in your resin and glitter. It will thicken up a bit and your glitter stays suspended ❤❤❤
@lullysmommyify U forgot to say one drop of *what!* Fortunately, most of us know it's a drop of PVA (school) glue per ounce. Clear or white works as they both dry clear. Yes, that would work really well!
Absolutely adorable! 🥰 I love it!❤ The colour changing light is perfect! 👍I might try doing one in glow in the dark mica. Probably without eyebrows and mouth. ☺️💐🫶🏻
I like to use an aluminum foil ball covered in tape, I never know how big I’m gonna need the head. I also put a dime sized drop of resin on the plastic sheet next to my pour. I poke that instead of the piece so I don’t mess it up (lol because I have). 💕 Another beauty!
Instead of cutting around the plastic use it to help with the drips. Pull it out at an angle then tape it to the plastic on the bottom. That allows the resin to flow out and down to give a very cool effect.
OMG it's so darn stinking adorable. I just love this little ghost. Wow just amazing your creativity amazes me every time. Wonderful little ghost love the color changing lite best.😻😻😻😻💙💙💙💙
Oh so freaking cute! 👻 I was thinking a half Styrofoam ball as well. I don't know if it would stick to this styrofoam... So maybe tape over it or a really thin plastic film over that. Either way your idea worked and it came out so adorable!
Yes, yes, yes. I was so hoping you would think of a light! He's adorable. Oh Julie, I just love him. You come up with such wonderful, fun ideas. xoxoxooxoxxo
Yes, a styrofoam ball smaller than the cup so u have some shoulders as an option. Cut a hole in bottom of cup, large enough for a lightbulb to sit on top. Your clay did well though. For arms, bend thick wire around neck of light bulb, bend wire in any direction for your arms. Be sure to double back wire for the hands so not to poke through plastic rap. Al taped in place & of course it’s your form underneath your plastic wrap and resin.
😍🎉I Love this!! I’m going to try to use a round silicone mold for the head. I like the color change lights. I also want to take this time to say I watch you on UA-cam & really like your videos & find them helpful. My next purchase will be your melting clock!!!! Ssooo Excited!!! Thank you.
For roundness, I think a small-ish ball would with. Put it on the cup with some sticky, or cut out the bottom and set it inside, if it’s the right size. Ad far as the light, I’d be tempted to put one those watery-powered tea lights that flickers like a flame.
You could a half round or a full round Styrofoam ball and use glue dots or tape to secure it. You can use crushed ice cubes or even AB crystals for extra sparkles. Really like the ghost. Very cute
Do you mean real frozen water Ice cubes?
I use a styrofoam ball or mini ornament and paper cup with a hole in the center to put the stem of the mini ornament.
Cute! I was thinking of a light also😊
@lynnweiser2157
Lol. No! Water and resin hate each other. You can get acrylic crushed ice cube table scatters/decor. They're not cheap, though.
The styrofoam half ball was the first thing I thought! I was relieved that I wasn’t the only one! I trust all of you more than I trust myself!
I love the light!
OMG !!!! He’s adorable. Love it. A light underneath might be a good idea…❤❤❤❤
Every time I play your videos my 1 year old gets so excited and is glued to your videos.
OMGoodness it’s a Charlie Brown Ghost! I love it 👻
The lil ghost looks so stinking adorable. The changing lights look better.😊❤
So cute, when you brought out the eyes all I saw was Charlie Brown as a ghost
He is adoraboo. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
It's very cute! Now you need to make some ones in different sizes, for a arrangement
Turned out very cute.
I do ghosties every year. They're a big hit. And so fun to make.
Oh, he's so cute, Julie! 😍💕 I love him! ❤ Love either of the lights under him!
Eeeee! I hear the puppies! 💕😍💕
I like the knobbly head best, personally!
So cute I love your little ghost. Great idea. ❤I like the balls on the bottom. It looks like he has holes.
Ollie ❤ oooh, next time use some glow powder 😊
Great idea for Halloween!Way to go Julie!
Love the ghost and so glad to see the lights you're using. I have those in my cart for a project for my grandkids. Thanks Julie!❤
To get a smooth round top, flip the cup over with the flat bottom down. Then insert a light bulb in the cup. You could elevate the bulb with something like paper toweling to build the height of each ghost.
I love him , so cute.
Wow! What a cute idea! He's SO adorable!! 🌟
He's adorable😊
LOVE IT!!!!!! I would probably just do the googly eyes and an oval for the mouth. I might see if I could do some sort of speech bubble with BOO on it. Definitely going to make a few of these, it is soooo cute.
I make these but use googly eyes. Imo it makes me super cute!
I love this idea and you don't even need a mold. I see the possibility of making a melting snowman too. Two Styrofoam balls on top of each other but have to find a way to gather it under the top snowball.... but cute cute. I love this.
Put the eyes on before it fully hardens and they’ll prob slide down off kilter. Looking like they melted
Very cute idea. You could also use black UV resin for the nose/mouth ❤
OMG he is spooktacular! Thank you for sharing ❤
This little guy is too cute for his own good. The way you had it drip in a puddle so he can stand on his own was great. Maybe seed beads around the bottom? The multi colored lights were fun. Someone suggested a night light cute idea. You are so talented, thanks for sharing.❤
The mirror with the Black on it I flip each ones lots of work, but it comes out beautiful 😊
Super cute. I loved it with the colour changing. 👻
So cute! The variations are endless. Love the color changing lights under her.
Love it Julie! I think I will make two for the Grandkids. ❤❤❤❤
I tried to drape things like this once. I went back in one hour and the thing was totally cured rock hard. It was pretty warm in the room. So I had a round tray. LoL
Love your ghost. Especially with the color changing light
I make these. They are fun to work with! Yours came out great like usual Julie :) I use small beads or crushed glass for the bottom. Your ghost came out so stinking cute !! Love the color changing lights under it ! Thank you Julie
Love the ghost, the color changing light is the best.
So cute!!!❤❤❤❤ Glow in the dark colors would also be cute.
A styrofoam ball cut in half or a tennis ball cut in h a half as well. I think putting a plastic bag over top would work.
Very cute! I think three together would be sweet with a spider, bat, and witches hat on their heads. Lol
Your ghost is so darn cute!
What about using one of those slurpee/slushie cups with the domed lids (after the contents have been drunk, of course!!)?
Love that little ghosty! So cute either way the changing light. Fun!
Leave the plastic in it! You could paint a thin layer of resin over the spots that you can see the plastic. Then, lights in it would look incredible! I am loving this ghost!!❤❤❤
That needs a night light in it Julie ! It’s cute ! I spoke too soon ! A great window decoration.
Adorable. I like the color changing light
You could cut the bottom off of a cup then put a tennis ball in there to give you a round top.
Love the little ghost with the different colour lights sooooo quite 😊
Half a Styrofoam ball for head. So adorable... hugs Sheryl ❤
Super cute idea, Julie! I probably would have just used polymer clay to make the head shape since I have a ton of it laying around my craft room. It’s not soft like foam clay so it would hold its shape really well. Plus if I was going to make more than one ghost I could just bake the clay head and use it over and over.
You could even add little ghost arms if you sculpt an "upper body" from polymer clay.
🎉 adorable 🎉 colour change is the best
Gaspar is a good name
Love George the Ghost! He’s awesome! Could you use the white polyurethane resin and just pour it over the cup? Also we need a giant skull mold!!!
So cute! I would paint the inside of the plastic white and leave it in. Love the light added.
Cute, definitely fun for Halloween ❤
Stand a ladle up in a crock (so it’s straight) and drape the resin over it?
This year, I’m challenging myself to do all our classroom art projects with found/recycled materials, so I’m thinking in these terms. :)
Silicone covered ladies would probably work well 😊
Foam ball cut in half for ghost head
Your ghostie is adorable and I love it. You could use 1 of the halves of the clear baubles you use for shakers to add a dome on top of the cup. All the best, Diane xx
If you wanted to make several, you could invest in a glass cloche to drape it.
Dollartree has a plastic cloche, I'm going to grab one. Thanks for the suggestion. 🤍👻
Awesome Video Julie and i think you should call your ghost Casper🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
You could make a black nose/mouth the same way you do the flower centers. Just use black and shape and glue.
Oh Julie, your little ghost came out so stinking adorable!! Have a blessed day. 😊❤
So adorable and creative. I love it. ❤❤❤
Julie I hope u se this and try it. If you want your glitter to not sink put one drop per ounce in your resin and glitter. It will thicken up a bit and your glitter stays suspended ❤❤❤

Maybe half a lemon or lime.😅 Really cute. How are the new puppies? Did she have them that night?
He's adorable!

I love your ghost, he’s very cute. I was wondering what I could make my grandson, now I’ve got an idea. Thank you Julie x❤
Absolutely adorable! 🥰 I love it!❤ The colour changing light is perfect! 👍I might try doing one in glow in the dark mica. Probably without eyebrows and mouth. ☺️💐🫶🏻

You could put a ball in the open end and use that as the top. 🤷♀️
he’s so cute!
So cute. I like the color light
I love the ghost 👻👻. You did an awesome job. Love to you my sweet friend ❤❤
Absolutely adorable 👻. The lights are a perfect touch. 🧡💛❤️🍁🍂

Very cute!
I love it. I would leave it just like it is. I think it's perfect.
Yes, yes, yes. I was so hoping you would think of a light! He's adorable. Oh Julie, I just love him. You come up with such wonderful, fun ideas. xoxoxooxoxxo

Love this! If I have time to make some, I will use my Cricut to make different face components.
I love your little ghost, Julie. He is adorable

you could use "frit" from class fusing/jewelry making
Julie that's a super cute Ghost 👻
I love it with the light underneath the ghost 👻
