Avensis looks good with blinded rear windows, and you don't gave to be an engeneer to understand the buttons inside.

Toyota is the best, this is the most reliable car, people says the esthetic is crappy, but I find it really beautiful, it looks simple but it works. I like the two other cars but I would choose the Avensis.

I have a peugeot 407 sedan 16 hdi
how come no reviews talk about reliability. In the end that is a big factor for me in deciding to buy a car. Breakdowns not only cost in repairs but in time and frustration. You might be stranded in the middle of nowhere. So what car gives you peace of mind? No one talks about it...

I recently bought a 136bhp 407SW. Didn't want a French car, diesel, estate or turbo. 180k miles on the clock & 18 years old. It is brilliant, gonna last me the rest of its life. It was bought as a workhorse for my job (I carry a lot of stuff for work), it is going to end up as way more than that as my wife loves it as well!
Sloppy steering in a 407 XD I wish people would actually drive these cars properly, I've had 407s and would have another one anyday over the bland German competition.
i Have an Peugeot 307 SW and is very nice and does the work just fine, even is very dynamic the driving for be an big station wagon car and the automatic gearbox is just good sports mode and snow and the tiptronic gearbox feels like good

Tough one this as i have known 3 people with the passats and they have been really unreliable to the point all but one got rid withing 8 months. 1 had massive issues with the immobilizer push in key fob electronics cost him £2000 and Engine light was still coming on, Second had massive issues with DSG gear box and wiring loom, Again cost him thousands! the other had too much to list. I have had my 407 SW 3 years now with 114000mls on it and touch wood has never gone wrong... German build quality eh!

My 2006 Avensis 1.6 still ride like a brand new, solid like a tank while all those Peugeot/Passat are dead from same year ..mine has done 158000 km
If you buy the gipsywagon , you own a tractor in fact , as it has no design at all!. If you buy the 407 , you buy a car , that has more than two lines in its design , compared to the dumpsterwagon, its hot and sexy! If you buy the Avensis , you care less of design but get a car that wont let you down.

Ja idem dole 3 mesecno i po eu znaci pravim 70 000km godisnje minimum plus taksije sto imam passat je najgori dmf plivajuci pumpa za ulje protrulio skroz letva volana glava motora puca lezajevi dihtung glave itd itd a servis prepolovljen radi se na 7000km top sintetika i originalni delovi i to nije jedan auto nego vozni park od 2008 na ovamo samo kupujem.

Peugeot knows how to design... and that is about it. VW.... well, it has its problems, big ones... google it. Toyota... sadly boring compared to others, but works... why they cannot be put together and made one :) If you are buying new car, does not matter really, but buying using car.... you guess.

My dads got a 07 plate avensis with 197,000 miles on it and all he's had to replace is a rusty back box.dont see any passats at that so much for German build quality.

i have a 2008 grey avensis!
My toyota 286000 km i must change tyre and breaks. Change oil every year and dont push it past 5000 rpm . Friends doesnt notice its old car....

Avensis have very big problem with his weight. It eats brakes like beast and suspension can go to service every 1 year. Its very very VERY heavy.

Yes they are. but I personally don't like the look of the 407. allthough its still only my opinion. ofcourse toyota isn't nice car, but it has no compromises. basic-looking family car. And the passat is more expensive-looking, well it is most expensive of the three. im not toyota fan but i would still take avensis.(again its my opinion) second hand i would have 407 becouse of its reliability too.

I really think that the Peugeot looks like it was designed around the turn of the century, it just has this bland thing about it that a lot of cars had during early 2000s, most of them remind me a bit of molten plastic.

My uncle drove a Toyota Avensis for 14 years, any problem with it, almost 320.000 km. I think the Toyota is the most reliable car, other cars are not good as the Avensis.

Who the hell reviews these cars?.....my avensis is every bit as good to drive as the two BMW's that I've owned before and the build quality is as good too but the one thing these cars do better than almost any other manufacturer is reliability I've owned mine a 2 litre petrol with only 33.000 miles and it has given me trouble free motoring for almost a year.....also this stupid reviewer is going on about passion and emotion which really only applies to supercars and classic cars not cars that are basically workhorses and the Toyota dose it's job admirably.

@@sigmaSERVIS Well the 2.0 TDI loves to crack cylinder heads, blow turbos, eat injectors, burn low end journals and shear oil pumps, the 2.2 D4-D likes to kill EGR's, blow head gaskets and loves to build carbon. The 2.2 HDI has nothing that goes wrong, maybe a sticky VNT now and then.
