My personal favorite prog metal band of the generation. Thanks to these lads for the superb album and for taking the time mid-tour to do this live session!
@@arsenije_wav8620 ain't that the fuckin Truth! If I was on a deserted island but could have 10 records to listen to for the rest of my life, Sound Awake is one of them! 🙇♂️
This lady is a real treat! Haven't tuned into Audio tree in a while but I like her! The interviews were great. And does anything need to be said about the guys? They always deliver!
Charcoal Grace is by far their best album imo, pure masterpiece, I've been addicted to it so much ! (Also, Jim's vocals on this live are outstanding !)
I had the pleasure of attending university with Sam and Dale. The music is just mind-blowingly amazing. The boys are super humble and fantastic musicians in all styles. Sam is by far the most versatile an talented guitarist I have ever heard. (He even recorded a prog/tech metal version of a classical piece I composed for an assessment, which I genuinely didn't think was possible to actually play as a guitarist. Absolutely SICK!)
I've been listening to this band for a while now and after seeing them live on their US tour and this session, I'm convinced their one of the best in the genre whether in the studio or live.
I Love this Band. Unfortunately this band is very underrated. Virtuous Musicians, Clear And Beautiful voices, The Best Progressive Band. A Big Huge from Brazil Fan :)
One of the best sessions both musically and the interview bits, which I dont say light heartedly given audiotree's amazing track record of great bands!
Pandora introduced them to me and ever since I heard 'Rust " I was hooked. I had the extreme pleasure seeing them preform live in Dallas Tx in 2024. One of my favorite bands. Funny thing is at least 3 of my favs are all from down under, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus and Caligula's Horse.
I love how much fun the guitarist was having as he absolutely SHREDS 🤘 Christian Bale is an incredible lead singer, too 😂 Favorite new prog metal band. Love these Aussies. Props to the sound mixer, too.
I don't think they nailed the audio for Jim in this one. The band sounds good and if you listen to Jim, he does too, it just seems to get covered a bit in the parts where the bands is going harder. Some parts sound good though.
Man peps can really shred 7 strings these days. FR!! I know death metal used 7s way before Korn and numetal, much props to them, BUT some of these bands nowadays are killing it 7 style!!!
Very underrated band. Rise Radient is an epic album
@@RemotelySkilled No, I don't agree lmfao
@@RemotelySkilled i mean to each their own. I agree their first two albums are great but Rise Radient is a tier above.
@@RemotelySkilled In Contact is clearly their best
@@stevennorris7181 far and away their best, objectively even
@@d8ms77 uhhh have you listened to Graves? There is nothing compared to that on Rise Radiant
My personal favorite prog metal band of the generation. Thanks to these lads for the superb album and for taking the time mid-tour to do this live session!
For me it's haken, but CH is a close second! I really love Jim's voice, God gave up an angel so he could sing in a Prog metal band!
Celeste fan+c-horse fan spotted. My kin.
They're amazing, but at the end of the day all aussie prog bows down at the feet of Karnivool
@@arsenije_wav8620 ain't that the fuckin Truth! If I was on a deserted island but could have 10 records to listen to for the rest of my life, Sound Awake is one of them! 🙇♂️
@@arsenije_wav8620 not this one 😎
mesmerized seeing Sam play his solos, his fingers look like they're liquid
I've always thought his solos sound like liquid! They're just so smooooooth
Best horse on a tree I’ve ever seen!
WOW!! Josh dropping his stick and still NAILING that fill is insane. Loved this! Thank you Audiotree and CH!
The stick actually broke, you can see it for a brief moment at 27:14 after the crash hit
Was going to say……… he smashed the stick in half 🤣🤣🤣💪💪💪💪
CH are unbelievable. I truly believe their new album is a top 5 in the prog metal genre all-time. Just phenomenal work.
The other top 4 are also CH albums ;)
Right you are sir!
@@alexreinking Really? Right in front of my Black Clouds & Silver Linings, Blackwater Park, Divine Wings of Tragedy, and The Theory of Everything? >:(
soooo keen

Me too!!
This lady is a real treat! Haven't tuned into Audio tree in a while but I like her! The interviews were great. And does anything need to be said about the guys? They always deliver!
I saw Caligula's Horse live in México City, it was awesome, my favourite band forever!!!!
I was at that show, too! They were amazing!
tears in my eyes from how skillful they are, how intricate each instrument, and the music as a whole
These guys are not only great musicians but chill human beings as well. Much respect.
Charcoal Grace is by far their best album imo, pure masterpiece, I've been addicted to it so much ! (Also, Jim's vocals on this live are outstanding !)
How good is Charcoal Grace! I can't get enough of it!
Finally! A live session with superb audio quality from the bois!
"Alright so you guys wanna do it for real now" at the very end 🤣
Epic performance as always - can't wait to see them in Brisbane this weekend!
That band is more amazing everytime. Incredible performance. Brazil 🇧🇷 is waiting you.
BR here :)
I was at Lincoln Hall the say before! Such a good show. I was pumped to meet the band.❤
Finally, a CH recording with audible bass

I was forced to buy a plane ticket to catch them on this tour. Absolutely worth it
So sick! Glad they got on Audiotree. Always love to watch them. Such a great band.
This is beautifully heavy and epic, period.

Saw them all the way back in 2016 in Melbourne, and then again in 2022, great Aussie band!
So, So good.
I love both the host and the band!
Sam is a fucking beast man. Looking forward to playing with these guys again this year, and to be completely humbled by their insane ability.
I saw them in Dallas earlier this year, and it was a religious experience. I still get chills thinking about the audience belting Oceanrise with Jim
the best prog metal band in the game right now. thanks guys for all this amazing music since all those years.
Yes!
Theyre one of my fave bands. I didnt know they were in Chicago!
On Aussie prog bands, I absolutely need to see Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus on here.
Unrelated; Empire State Bastard as well.
DLC have disappeared into the ether. No ones heard from them for a few years now so i think they are done as a band unfortunately
Got to see them live this year, they sounded Incredible, and seriously such an underrated band!
this is totally correct! I will now follow this band!
One of the best sessions both musically and the interview bits, which I dont say light heartedly given audiotree's amazing track record of great bands!
What an interview and interviewer! Love it, this was so fun and inspiring. Thank you❤❤❤
I love these guys and their music, long time fan here! One ❤ Caligula's horse

Such an amazing band. In Contact is one of my top 5 favorite albums ever across all genres. Truly a perfect album.
Congratulations to everyone who deserves credit for making that guitar sound so organic.

I love that Caligula’s horse are boring dudes in real life. As a 20 gallon a day water enjoyer. The set was majestic too !!

The voice in this band always seems like it should be 10 dBs louder.
This band filled a hole Karnivool left behind
