The internal resolution of XSX is 1.8x higher here but apart from artifacts around transparent objects like hair and some shimmering around edges the PS5 version is surprisingly good for checkerboard. If I didn't have a VRR display I would go with the PS5 version simply because it's more stable, with a VRR display I would go with the Xbox version, it's a little softer but the lack of artifacts looks a little better imo.
A little late for me but ps5 now supports vrr. I have a xsx x and ps5 and built pc with 3080. Between the two consoles i agree the ps5 is more stable and honestly looks better than series x version. I wonder why they chose such different resolutions for PS5 and Xbox Series X; 3840x1080 checkerboard vs 3712x2088. Very specific numbers but very little perceptual difference. And why does the PS5 take so long to load?
The resolutions are different between Xbox Series X and PS5 due to their backwards compatibility limitations the PS5 backwards compatibility has a resolution limit of 1620p then it uses some form of 4K checkerboard render to increase the resolution up to 2160p unlike the Series X version actually render at 2160p because of the backwards compatibility is not limited to 1620p that's why the Series X version looks way better than the PS5 version but it's really hard to even tell the difference they both look incredible

Can’t wait for the new tomb raider
it's weird because on my 4k tv on my Xbox Series S the image is much more beautiful 🤔
A jinocho 🤣😂
I told folks that XSS will be 720p console in a few years😴
XSX is best.
Ps5 is good too!!
the differences between SS and SX/PS5 are only noticeable on 4k Screens, in this game it basically only downgrades the resolution
I tried to get Into this game but modern TR dosen't do It for me , I like oldschool TR 1 - 3.
Think modern is better graphically
Series S 900p ... Next gen!
Ps5 have no vrr or nothing 🤬🤬🤬 that's mess up main
But Ps5 has stable framerate, then don't need that for this game
That's all cap I wanna sell my ps5 and keep my xsx I like the ps5 but ps5 dont really have nothing and im tired of having the two same copy of a game on ps5 you need to download the ps4 version to get the ps5 version that sucks
That's because the game literally doesn't need VRR, there have not been any games that would greatly benefit from it so far. On Xbox, however, there are numerous titles that run below 60fps, so having to buy a new TV with VRR support is the only option to get performance as stable as on the PS5.
That's not a negative towards the PS5, it's a negative against the Xbox.
@@Turniplord xbox series x runs at a higher resolution than ps5 the ps5 is much weaker than the xbox series x ps5 I missing alot of thing that makes it weak
@@MichaelM28 lmao since when do you need to download the PS4 version to get the PS5 version? You sure you have a PS5 😅😹😹
what does it change between quzlity and fps mode if both are at 60fps?
@peloquinful what change?
Is it better to run on performance or resolution on ps5?
Quality.
