- Опубліковано 5 лип 2024
- The 2024 ASEAN tourism report highlights the region's remarkable recovery and growth in the tourism sector following the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by robust government initiatives, improved infrastructure, and a focus on sustainability. Tourist arrivals have rebounded strongly, with countries like Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam surpassing pre-pandemic levels, thanks to diverse attractions, affordable travel options, and targeted marketing campaigns. The report underscores successful initiatives such as visa-free travel policies and digital health passes, promoting ASEAN as a safe and attractive destination. However, challenges like environmental sustainability and equitable distribution of tourism benefits remain. The region's tourism sector is poised for significant growth, contributing more substantially to GDP and employment. With enhanced digital innovation, diversified offerings, and strengthened regional cooperation, ASEAN aims to build a resilient and diversified tourism sector that continues to thrive. Addressing infrastructure inefficiencies and promoting eco-friendly practices will be crucial for sustaining this upward trajectory, ensuring tourism remains a vibrant and integral part of the region's economy. God bless ASEAN
Strive are expected
I don’t think so because ASEAN countries are too similar to each other. Same all over: condominiums, hotels, hookers, malls. If I go to Thailand, then I don’t go to Vietnam or viceversa. While in Europe, I can go to Rome, Paris, London, the Swiss alps, Spain, etc, etc
Maybe
Europe is beautiful. But not much to do except for sightseeing. Beaches and lakes are beautiful, but waters are cold. Mountains are scenic, but again cold. Food is pretty, but too formal, expensive and not fun. You can only do so much from spring to fall. Winter resorts are expensive. Europe tours can only take days and then, you'd get bored. Asean however is activity filled. You can frolic and enjoy the beaches, mountains, waterfalls and even underwater. Food is flavourful and fun. Westerners can spend months travelling in ASEAN countries.
No, because Europe is mostly continental, small countries, advanced infrastructure, which makes it easier to travel around.
Europe is more on old architecture, palaces...while ASEAN is more of nature aside from temples of myan mar, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and lao...while philippines Vietnam Malaysia Singapore etc has another natural beauty to offer aside from modern architecture buildings
Europe is Europe compare to asean
