Hello Rob, the Ferret from AIRFIX is particularly well done. Replacing the barrel on the machine gun greatly enhances the kit. I also think the idea of a small scene at the Berlin Wall is very good. Your video with interesting historical footage makes your work of art perfect! Cheers, John
Thank you... :) :)I enjoyed putting this video of the build together, it's always nice when you can add a bit of history and a background to what the finished build is showing.. I'm very glad you liked it! :)
Beautiful! I like the way you used after market parts to spice up the kit. Great job. Also adding historical footages adds some interests to the video. The way you made the wall was pretty good too. Overall, the diorama looks amazing! I enjoyed this video. Thanks for making it.
Thank you, Collin.. :) I did the wall slightly overscale (not by much) as I wanted it to be imposing and intimidating, as the real thing must have been for the people on both sides of the divided city. I enjoyed the build, but as always it was more luck than skill that it turned out as good as it did.. :)
Very cool diorama in front of the Berliner Mauer, Rob. A great idea. The Ferret looks great and the work with the aftermarket barrel has lift the Browning MG certainly up. Your commander fits nicely. A work with which you can be very satisfied and Kilroy was also there. ;-) The little details makes it! Best wishes and a nice weekend. Joachim
Thank you, Joachim.. I thought I had to put just one little tiny bit of graffiti.. Who knows of Kilroy ever was in Berlin, but I had a little laugh to myself when I added that touch. The kit is really nice in my opinion, now I'm looking forward to seeing Michael Barkas take on it... Glad you liked the build and the vignette as a whole.
Thank you... and yes, just a simple little improvement like the barrel did make the Ferret look a lot better. I'm pleased I managed to utilise a figure for a vehicle commander as well, that actually looks like he belong there.Other than that I think the kit is great, just out the box. I want to do another one in the future, when the after market resin / 3-D printer people have created a nice interior and / or an engine.
Hi Rob ... wow ... so cool ... a nice Video by the way ... like your Ferret in on the Eastern Germany border ... top notch 😊👍 a big hug my friend, cheers Markus
Thank you. Trying to scratch build the wall was a bit of a challenge, but I am pleased with the result.. And the Ferret is a great kit, I recommend it for a fun build.
Nice Cold War diorama Rob! I think the kit is mediocre at best with all the seamlines.. But still a great subject for Cold War, Africa and Cyprus themed builds 💥👍💥
Well, I enjoyed the build, straight out the box.. Will get another one later, when there are some after market stuff available so all the hatches can be displayed open.. 😁
Yes, it sure looks like it.. Everything has to be gleaming, even tyres... Maybe he's just cleaning it, I don't know. And yes, it is a nice kit, new tool from last year.. It went together very well, whoever designed it made a great job. I will no doubt get another one in the future, just waiting for some after market detailing, like an engine and maybe a nice driving compartment interior, so all the hatches can be displayed open..
Hi Rob, you’ve inspired me to replace the gun barrel on my AF model. I cant seem to find the same part number as you show on Hannants. Any suggestions?Cheers and thanks.
Great work rob happy modeling my friend 👍
Thank you very much!! Happy Modelling to you too.. :)

👍
Lovey model and a great little vignette to set it off, I love the improvement on the gun barrel, that was really worthwhile, very well done.

A really nice piece Rob.
Thank you kindly, Sir.. I should point out that the Berlin Wall is 5mm too tall, (for 1/35 scale) but I can live with that.. 😁
@@BasicModelling what? BIN IT! IT DISGUSTS ME NOW!!!!

4:16 Is that chap painting the tyre? Anyone know what's up with that? Great job again, Rob. Looks like a nice kit.

It's tyre wall paint I think you can still get it in helfords very popular in the 1950s and 1960s made your tyres look like new
The video is on UA-cam; I've watched it several times

I think I got mine from ebay, if I remember correctly. Perhaps Hannants has it under a different number... Not sure.
