Definitely agree with you man, rough looking load. Fine for boiler wood but you have a reputation with your customers and that is exactly what I sensed you were getting at, let alone the BS you went through on the processor.
I strive to deliver year in and year out the same quality firewood. So it’s almost like Deja vu. The part that gets me the most is. When I order a certain type of wood and this is what shows up. That’s just bad business.
Of course it does, and if he was only burning it for himself it would be fine. But he's trying to run a business. People that spend money on wood, want good wood.
@@Treestofirewood I do, it's a bit warm for it but I ran out of oil before I got my new heat pump water heater installed so I need it for the hot water, hit 79 degrees here today, wild how warm it is
Oh it’s boiler wood alright. Not happy about it. I can still make some good production out of it but for what I pay for wood it should be better quality. Only good thing is it should only have to be in the kiln a fraction of the time as all the rest.
Good morning Matt Wow at least it was a learning experience !!! Lucky it wasn't a 15 cord load !😊 The way you felt about that load is how a home owner feels when he gets a cord of supposedly seasoned wood and it is junk and still green ! The last time for that supplier !!!! And that's why you can't get enough logs to keep up with your sales ... the quality product that you sell it's gone as soon as it's seasoned ...they are repeat customers !!😊
You got that right. The saying is true. When the logs are available you buy them. Lessons learned. And yep garbage wood to customers will never happen with me. I keep a quality and will always do so.
I better get a discount. I made it clear what I ordered and then I see the logs and almost jumped out of my skin. Bad business and now I understand why this supplier has an iffy rep.
That’s nice. Always good to have logs ready and waiting to be split into firewood. I know not every log will be primo. But for high production for me this load isn’t it.
@Treestofirewood i find that sometimes it's better to flip the 1st cut.. not as hard inside..lol.. I may have invented a few new curse words myself...lol 😄 🤣 😂 😆
Sorry you had a rough go. Obviously not everyone has a quality standard like you do. It’s to bad for him because it sounds like you would have purchased a lot more wood from him if he would have given you some decent logs.
Sorry about the poor quality load. Hopefully it will bridge you across until your normal supplier can deliver. In the very least you have something to feed the boiler 🤷
eh,you can knock that load out and sell it quick-you have some tree work coming up so....cherry pick the quality logs just subscribed to alaska wood yard-check him out-he runs an old log dog-it is sweet-something like that could work for you

Firewood is firewood, it all burns, man.
That is true. When running a business and you order a specific kind of logs and this is what arrives. That’s not good business.

@richarddabkowski2896 you would be correct. You have the boiler up and running yet?
@@Treestofirewood I do, it's a bit warm for it but I ran out of oil before I got my new heat pump water heater installed so I need it for the hot water, hit 79 degrees here today, wild how warm it is
@richarddabkowski2896 yes it’s been warm. Some cold weather seems to be coming our way. I can’t wait to actually put some heat load on this thing.
I was gonna say that looks like some classic boiler food LOL.

I totally feel you. That is not processor wood at all brother!
That’s for sure. It’s chainsaw splitter wood/boiler wood. Back to my normal supplier.
Hopefully the load came with a discount!
Haven’t paid yet. It I can tell you this there will be a discussion about it that ms for sure.
Good morning Matt

I don’t blame you for being frustrated.
Definitely not processor wood. Hopefully you got a discount for your trouble.

I got two log trucks of tree service wood yesterday. That’ll keep me busy all winter chipping away at it with the saw and splitter
That’s nice. Always good to have logs ready and waiting to be split into firewood. I know not every log will be primo. But for high production for me this load isn’t it.
Green wood splits better .. but 2 year old dry is hard to cut and harder to split.. and messy if theres any bark left
Much rather have fresh logs. Just easier on all equipment.

Yeah reputation means everything to me. I hold a standard and will keep it at all costs.
Sorry about the poor quality load. Hopefully it will bridge you across until your normal supplier can deliver. In the very least you have something to feed the boiler 🤷
It will hold me over for a few days. And yeah that tote will go straight to the boiler. Money well spent.
That's the type of wood I get for free
Yeah tell me about it.
Win some lose some
That’s for sure.

I will have to check him out. I will definitely be more selective on what logs I receive. Next time I will make sure I’m on site when the logs arrive.
I hope you didn’t pay a lot!!
Oh it will be negotiable that’s for sure. Havent heard from the supplier since we talked. So not sure what it will cost me yet.
Firewood is hard enough without getting poor quality wood. I feel your struggle
Yeah it can be. Usually doing firewood o enjoy what I’m doing. This day not so much.
