When the Skoda T27 was announced, people said this was yet more proof that the TVP VTU needed to be buffed. Instead, Wargaming nerfed the Skoda T27 to make sure it wouldn't be outright better than the VTU.

Polish tanks at tier 4-5-6 are absolute nightmares and the Tiger 2 is one of the worst things at its tier, clearly hammered by any other tier 8, not to mention tier 9 and 10. The fact the the TVP is so bad at tier 8 and then you can get this Skoda with tragic dpm...I don't see it as fair, to be honest. This is the perfect example of why I feel every day more and more safe about getting my hands on the progetto 46 and having blasts of a game at tier 8-10 and in Frontlines.
Czechoslovakian autoloader's speciality is fastest reload between the shells with good aiming, so they need to lower reload from 1.8sec to 1.5sec and get the old aiming time back.
I am ok with more premium tanks in the game, as long as they are balanced. Even though some are OP indeed at tier 8, but you will always have tier 9 and 10s to beat them. However, I am not ok with those OP tier 10 rewards tanks. And now on NA server, WG plans to hand out more and more of those OP reward tanks. They are making tier 10s unpleasant to play. As a competitive player with a 62% win ratio who doesn't have time to fight for clan wars. I haven't play tier 10s in months. Since they release more and more of those rewards tanks. obj 907, chieftain and obj 279 e. no tanks in the tech tree match up with OP reward tank. Even OP tanks in tech tree like obj430u and obj268 v4 are only making it close but not equal. it might be ok when you see only 1 or 2 of those tanks in 10 of your tier 10 games. BUT, they are in EVERY SINGLE tier 10 games now! I think WG should put more thoughts on those reward tanks. Not a good way to make a reward tank unique by letting them out compete other tier 10 tanks. the new tier 9 reward tank for frontline mode is a good example of how to make a reward tank unique. Free repair kit, Free food or an extra equipment slot should do the trick. I love this game. had my first battle back in 2013. But WG is making some stupid moves these recent years. I would say by far the most important thing is a rework of low tier artys(5 & 6) and those tier 10 reward tanks.
True... I dont mind the manny prem tanks eather and they dont have to be good. Problem is more then a few are better then the normzl version so every actualy normal premium tank isnt wearth it
That's exactly why I've pretty much stopped playing tier 9 and 10, it's bad enough with having to gold spam to begin with even without the OP reward tanks, now with them you have no choice but to gold spam, tier 9 and 10 in my opinion just isn't fun anymore, and that is just my opinion, of course everybody is different.
I agree with you. When I get pissed of the tier 9-10s with some OP tanks I play my elc amx, and get oneshooted on the move by a very balanced LEFH18B2... That's a lot of fun
From my opinion this just looks like a bad prog 46. The original was much more balanced than the current. If anything it needs a faster time between shots to actually separate it from all the rest of the 2 second autoloaders. 1.6 seconds between shots is more reasonable especially with the awful accuracy this has

Progetto m46 has better dpm, accuricy, gun handling, gun depression, mobilty, more hp, more flexible becouse of autoreloader. Skoda t27 has better intraclip reload 1.8 instead of 2.0 sec and 100 mm on turrent and thats it WG nice joke
Remember that the progetto only has better dpm in single shot mode. If progetto dumps clip its dpm goes way lower than the skoda. Of course the progetto is much more flexible because of the autoreloader, but just looking at dpm numbers between the two is misleading.

Mr Dez, compare the gun to Progetto 46. Almost the same full reload, but Progetto has auto-reloader system. As this tank has autoloader gun only, there should be faster reload I think...

The original 1831 DPM for an autoloader at tier 8 seems a bit high really, autoloaders typically lose some DPM for the benefit of the burst, so having 100 less DPM (less in some cases) is too good. Get the DPM down to 1650-1700 or so would be balance it out.
Lol its even worse on console. There are 2 or 3 camo style versions of most tier 8 premiums that have mildly better camo or literally just a different paint style for a few thousand more gold.

I really think that the 1st version is far more balanced then this one, and even that 1st version need to get a litle better then it was at 1st.. This one will be too bad if it comes like this, but for me the main problem is the clip size, it needs one of these 2 things 1st: change to an 100 mm gun like the Skoda T50 with 3 shots of 320 damage or 2nd: a extra shot of the 90 mm gun with 240 damage. I think it needs a better burst damage potencial... If WG goes with with the 90 mm gun the Inter-clip reload should be a litle worst then the 100mm gun on T50's gun, if WG uses a 100mm gun they should give it even more interclip reload then the 90mm gun but not to much. With this change WG should keep the DPM arround 1500Hp/min. For me the tank needs another twick... the penetration needs to be a litle better. WG should buff the Pen to values arround 215/220 mm, if the Pen remains the same the DPM should get buffed a litle to values arround the one's it had on 1st iteneration of the tank. The gun handling stats i really think that in any case they should stay as they were before on the 1st iteneration of the tank.. they really dont need to change in any case. But the other changes i'm ok with them, if WG uses any one of the changes that i sugested the mobility, view range and hit points are good like they are now... If they wont change neither the gun caliber or the clip size defenetly they should keep the tank as it was on the 1st iteneration with out any nerf on any of the stats.. and even on that iteneration i think the pen is too low it should be over 210mm at the very least!!! to me 215mm of Pen is the right value to have in it
Compare it to the Lorr 40t or Progetto, no need to spend money on this on. Accuracy, mobility and at first a fast interclip reload was the thing with CZ autoliaders, I think WG misses the point and this is not an unique and good premium Tier 8 tank.

@@sontran5312 ..or that. Would still need the buffs I've listed but would be a step for the better. Chech tanks are a high skill roof, high skill ceiling tanks. VTU as it is has no place on the line, it's just to grief players that want the high tier chech meds. It has needed a buff since the day the line got introduced but never did get one. If WG would go with the autoloader there are two different alternatives as to how to logically introduce it while still leaving room to the T27 1: introduce substantially thicker turret for the VTU (190/45/40 ) to balance the atrocious -6 degrees of gun depression it has, this would be able to at least bounce the TD's to -2, heavies to -1 and the meds to -0 from a good enough range while keeping it vulnerable to the heavy hitters 2: drastically improve the top speed (to 60kph) and maneuverability (to 23+hp/t) while buffing the viewrange to 390m and maybe slightly decrease the frontal armor to compensate for the new role the vehicle would fill and in this case the DPM should be the proposed 1624 base at least during the first few months until further stats could be gathered.
@@sontran5312 the mobility, viewrange, armour and gun handling would still need to be tinkered with. There is no one solution to fix a tank that is completely bad. Edit: the VTU needs to either fall in line with the tech tree or be different. We (as in I) don't want yet another tier 8 tech tree tank that is in every way worse than the premium counterpart. VTU pays the price with it's camouflage. It's a tall tank and the taller the tank is the worse it's camo is. Mobility is bad for it's armor and firepower. For the mobility it has it needs something that can be workable. Buff the firepower, armor or the mobility but in moderation. We (as in the entire playerbase) don't need another 268V4 (exess of all in the holy trinity: firepower, armor and mobility and if you think WG wouldn't do such a grave mistake please let me eat some of the plants you get all your naiivety from). Just giving the stock turret another gun is not going to redeem half of the problems of this tank, it needs something more to not be FUBAR.

When the tech tree counterpart is terrible, nerfing the premium before release to make it worse than the tech tree counterpart isn't the right way to go. They should've just buffed the TVP VTU and then released the Skoda T27 with its previous stats.

9000 Gold for a premium at T8 that is a garbage version of the Lor 40T. You keep the 55/25 points of armor which wont help at that tier and ill keep the 30+ pen the extra round and the speed. This is the best WG could do considering Premiums got buffed? lmfao :(

Well 23sec reload for 3 88mm shells is too much. Tiger I use similar gun and reloads like 5 sec. This tank should get like 16s reload time ar at least +1 shell in the mag
Just a thought, but if they run all the tests with a better tank then nerf it, they can release the tank nerfed and get all the sales and hype about a new tank. When the hype dies down all they have to do is buff it to what they tested and people will buy again because now it is “op”
compare to the garbage in the tectree, this thing is already way more powerful, and the pre-nerfed one is simpally op. You see the idea WG introduced to this game now is just pay to win. They dont want to change gold shells, make op gold tanks and so on. In fact I really missed the time when SerB is in charge of balancing works.
3.6 sec for 720 clip potential but probably you miss the first shot as in almost all auto(re)loaders but this tank should be what the TVP VTU is that tank is really trash for a tier 8 no armor huge profile with really depressing gun despression but good gun with the 240 alpha gun but the view range etc. is doable i can make this tank work but some buffs would be nice especially the standard AP penetration may be buffed in my eye's (Otherwise people will spam APCR all day because it has no drawbacks against the AP shell) only 340 credits vs 4K credits
I played a few battles and I have to say T 27 is a balanced premium vehicle. I have just two points for improvement: it can use a bit higher alpha dmg and better accuracy. In other areas is OK. PS: yes, it is worse than Progetto which is IMHO OP on the other hand
Everyone is getting auto loaders. Now to make them all like the progetto or 3A. Then next thing, everyone will get the hydromatic suspension. Can't have just one nation with something special.
i like how they changed the stats from that t 27. If it would be next boken op tank it would be lot worse. At least for me it seems like WG has understand that they were going into wrong direction by releasing one op prem after another. Of course it seems to be much worse then standard tvp but thats a different story. So boys just chill, if it turns out to be that bad WG can easily buff it a bit but not the other way around as you all should know. So for me it seems like a good playable, balanced, interesting new premium tank all in all.

I think it would have been pretty nice if the HP and DPM didn't get nerfed, the tank looks pretty cool. But with the nerfed stats it's garbage. It could work if WG decides to give it preferential Matchmaking, but we all know that won't happen.
if it had been Russian they would not have nerfed they first stats they would have buffed, gave it the hull and turret of the Defender slapped Object 666UM on it and then... THEN buffed it twice more before they released it for $80 USD
First version looks op af. In a tier 8, 7,6 battle that thing would have shread. But now it looks weak. That gun is realy bad long aim time super bad handling and bad dmp. One of these needs to go back to the first version I think. (in the current meta and premium tank state)

Just gif it 1800 dpm and it good tank and not overpowerd. I think a good tank but for the low drum damge, it shut get a vast clip reload.

Underpowered is better than overpowered. Can always buff it up. But they can't nerf it since its premium
You ready to wait 5+ years for them to buff it? Look at how long it took the KV-5 to get some buffs. Hell, I'm still waiting for them to buff my T34. I enjoyed that tank when it was the T9 heavy. It's been utter garbage for a long time now though.

It says "purchase unavailable, this vehicle can only be recived as a reward for an achievement in the game" soi guess this is gonna be a new event reward tank.

If any premium really needs nerf its progetto not Defender or Skorpion but Progetto. Tank is outstandingly broken and beats all other tanks in every aspect except maybe armor but with mobility and camo it has its not even that big issue.

I really think that the 1st version is far more balanced then this one, and even that 1st version need to get a litle better then it was at 1st.. This one will be too bad if it comes like this, but for me the main problem is the clip size, it needs one of these 2 things 1st: change to an 100 mm gun like the Skoda T50 with 3 shots of 320 damage or 2nd: a extra shot of the 90 mm gun with 240 damage. I think it needs a better burst damage potencial... If WG goes with with the 90 mm gun the Inter-clip reload should be a litle worst then the 100mm gun on T50's gun, if WG uses a 100mm gun they should give it even more interclip reload then the 90mm gun but not to much. With this change WG should keep the DPM arround 1500Hp/min.
For me the tank needs another twick... the penetration needs to be a litle better. WG should buff the Pen to values arround 215/220 mm, if the Pen remains the same the DPM should get buffed a litle to values arround the one's it had on 1st iteneration of the tank.
The gun handling stats i really think that in any case they should stay as they were before on the 1st iteneration of the tank.. they really dont need to change in any case. But the other changes i'm ok with them, if WG uses any one of the changes that i sugested the mobility, view range and hit points are good like they are now...
If they wont change neither the gun caliber or the clip size defenetly they should keep the tank as it was on the 1st iteneration with out any nerf on any of the stats.. and even on that iteneration i think the pen is too low it should be over 210mm at the very least!!! to me 215mm of Pen is the right value to have in it
Compare it to the Lorr 40t or Progetto, no need to spend money on this on.
Accuracy, mobility and at first a fast interclip reload was the thing with CZ autoliaders, I think WG misses the point and this is not an unique and good premium Tier 8 tank.

Chech tanks are a high skill roof, high skill ceiling tanks. VTU as it is has no place on the line, it's just to grief players that want the high tier chech meds. It has needed a buff since the day the line got introduced but never did get one.
If WG would go with the autoloader there are two different alternatives as to how to logically introduce it while still leaving room to the T27
1: introduce substantially thicker turret for the VTU (190/45/40 ) to balance the atrocious -6 degrees of gun depression it has, this would be able to at least bounce the TD's to -2, heavies to -1 and the meds to -0 from a good enough range while keeping it vulnerable to the heavy hitters
2: drastically improve the top speed (to 60kph) and maneuverability (to 23+hp/t) while buffing the viewrange to 390m and maybe slightly decrease the frontal armor to compensate for the new role the vehicle would fill and in this case the DPM should be the proposed 1624 base at least during the first few months until further stats could be gathered.

@@sontran5312 the mobility, viewrange, armour and gun handling would still need to be tinkered with. There is no one solution to fix a tank that is completely bad.
Edit: the VTU needs to either fall in line with the tech tree or be different. We (as in I) don't want yet another tier 8 tech tree tank that is in every way worse than the premium counterpart.
VTU pays the price with it's camouflage. It's a tall tank and the taller the tank is the worse it's camo is.
Mobility is bad for it's armor and firepower. For the mobility it has it needs something that can be workable. Buff the firepower, armor or the mobility but in moderation. We (as in the entire playerbase) don't need another 268V4 (exess of all in the holy trinity: firepower, armor and mobility and if you think WG wouldn't do such a grave mistake please let me eat some of the plants you get all your naiivety from).
Just giving the stock turret another gun is not going to redeem half of the problems of this tank, it needs something more to not be FUBAR.
Dropping both gun handling and DPM does not sounds fine. You deal damage really slow, and not even reliably. The drop of DPM would have been enough.

When the tech tree counterpart is terrible, nerfing the premium before release to make it worse than the tech tree counterpart isn't the right way to go. They should've just buffed the TVP VTU and then released the Skoda T27 with its previous stats.

In the replay you showed it looked like it had 320 alpha damage… if it used to have the tier 9/10 gun its a huge nerf :)

Original version was perfectly balanced especially compared to other premiums, new version is quite weak. Gonna need a small buff
compare to the garbage in the tectree, this thing is already way more powerful, and the pre-nerfed one is simpally op. You see the idea WG introduced to this game now is just pay to win. They dont want to change gold shells, make op gold tanks and so on. In fact I really missed the time when SerB is in charge of balancing works.
3.6 sec for 720 clip potential but probably you miss the first shot as in almost all auto(re)loaders
but this tank should be what the TVP VTU is that tank is really trash for a tier 8 no armor huge profile with really depressing gun despression but good gun with the 240 alpha gun but the view range etc. is doable
i can make this tank work but some buffs would be nice especially the standard AP penetration may be buffed in my eye's (Otherwise people will spam APCR all day because it has no drawbacks against the AP shell) only 340 credits vs 4K credits

I played a few battles and I have to say T 27 is a balanced premium vehicle. I have just two points for improvement: it can use a bit higher alpha dmg and better accuracy. In other areas is OK. PS: yes, it is worse than Progetto which is IMHO OP on the other hand
When will it be on sale?
Everyone is getting auto loaders. Now to make them all like the progetto or 3A. Then next thing, everyone will get the hydromatic suspension. Can't have just one nation with something special.

i like how they changed the stats from that t 27. If it would be next boken op tank it would be lot worse. At least for me it seems like WG has understand that they were going into wrong direction by releasing one op prem after another. Of course it seems to be much worse then standard tvp but thats a different story. So boys just chill, if it turns out to be that bad WG can easily buff it a bit but not the other way around as you all should know. So for me it seems like a good playable, balanced, interesting new premium tank all in all.

I think it would have been pretty nice if the HP and DPM didn't get nerfed, the tank looks pretty cool. But with the nerfed stats it's garbage. It could work if WG decides to give it preferential Matchmaking, but we all know that won't happen.

First version looks op af. In a tier 8, 7,6 battle that thing would have shread.
But now it looks weak. That gun is realy bad long aim time super bad handling and bad dmp. One of these needs to go back to the first version I think. (in the current meta and premium tank state)
