I love the fact that Dipper was angry because Mabel chose to trust Stan and no him. I think it was a better ending and I want to see that but it's not possible . For me the "fact" that Dipper feels betrayed and go away. Good song and good amv I love it
She’d be betraying either one of them. In the end, it wasn’t really “trust” she put in Stan, it was faith. In the finals moments leading up to the pushing of the button, Stan looking like he was torn and wretched. Dipper, at that point, just disliked the man.

When I found GF, I smiled. My first real smile in months. I couldn't gather the courage to watch the last episodes, because I thought I would cry again. Something I hadn't done since I found GF. It was so special to me. It made me feel safe. It made me feel good about myself. Dipper and Mabel were normal kids, who did amazing things. If someone asked me who my idol was, I would say Alex Hirsch. I spend hours a day, watching the show. It's the best part of the day.
I love GF and I love the fandom too. Alex Hirsch started this magical storytelling, now, all the fans in the world still keeping it going. GRAVITY Falls is the best show I've ever watched.

I have so much respect for Stanley, he had to put on a happy face for 30+ years, all while having the guilt of possibly killing his own twin, his great nephew pretty much hating for a time as well as Stanford, as well as being thrown out of multiple states. And yet through out an apocalypse, having his family be tortured by a dream demon, nearly dying multiple times for Dipper and Mable as well as others, he's still the best god damn great uncle to ever exist.
That's why he's my one of my favs :P And all that time he was searching for the 3 journals when the chance of his brother even being alive was minimal. He tries to make up for everything he did wrong, everyone has their flaws ^^
I have full respect for Stanley, and no respect for Ford. Who would lie, suffer, and risk his freedom while running from the cops for thirty years to save a bitter life? Who would have to keep a joyful face and change his whole identity while working nonstop every night just so he can save his brother? His brother, who accused him of lying, got him kicked out of his home, and after 30 years is not ready to forgive him? Stanley risked and gave up literally everything he cared about...for someone who didn't care about him.

There were various theories at around the time that Dipper would somehow go dark, based off potential distrust as shown in this, along with some circumstantial evidence. I cant remember the exact post but part of its talking points was the odd contrast between "Northwest Mystery Manor" and "Not What He Seems" and due to that Dipper's and Mabel's arcs were beginning to separate. NMM was by most accounts a Dipper episode, his whole paranormal experience becoming more known by the town as shown in the newspaper at the beginning of the episode "Kid Captures Vampire Bat" or whatever it said ( presumably because the "Society of the Blind Eye" has since been broken up, people actually have time to, ya know, CALL THE AUTHORITIES.) He was called to exorcise the ghost, he (to no real avail) knew about the invisible ink trick of the journals and the 10 categories of ghosts. He "helped" in finding the hidden room with Pacifica, which later revealed the Northwests criminal past and stood up against the Northwests as "a link in the worlds worst chain." Those 2-3 events are mostly what ended up giving Pacifica some motive to fix what was right. Lastly he stood up against the ghost (only to get turned to wood, but still, lotta courage), What did Mabel do that episode? Tag along to the party as leverage for Dippers exorcisms and get in a fight over boys with Candy and Grenda. Now NWHS, as much as i love Dipper (being a twin boy nerd myself, hence my profile pic being a freaking zelda meme.) Mabel was surprising a BIG key in the episode (even her sweater was of a key, as symbolism and foreshadowing and what not that Mabel is important and NWHS is BIG) Sure Dipper thought of getting security footage to clear Stan's name, discovered that Stan had the 3 journals all along, the aforementioned invisible ink trick about CERTAIN UNIVERSAL DESTRUCTION, i'll give him a lot of credit there, but what about Mabel's accomplishments? SHE came up with the idea to write "Sevral tymez sux" on the windshield getting them out of the FBI car, HER grappling hook came to use yet again, SHE noticed the -Jackalope- Antelabbit horns looked odd which got them to discover the security footage, SHE discovered the box of newspaper clippings, Fake IDs and stuff (Even being the first seeing the STAN PINES DEAD headline) SHE realized the code was for the vending machine of all things, And most of all... SHE *DIDN'T* PRESS THE BUTTON. Im sure im missing some things but that's all I got. Anyway that contrast spurred some theories and emotions amongst the community. Ideas like Mabel's rising stardom in a sense would leave Dipper "the smart one" behind. "If i'm not the smart one (Dipper)/ a Good person (Mabel) who am I?" The betrayal of Mabel listening to her heart and disobeying her twin brother over some guy who at that point was a mastermind criminal scam artist with a fucking GODDAMN DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Also some tiny hints of Dipper beginning to act like / become Bill didn't help either. Him being somewhat a manipulative person with the "ill help you IF you let my sister go to the party." Also a point repeatedly brought up during this time that people freaked out over was the odd detail of when the portal FINALLY activates and it cuts to Dipper his pupils are huge (Bipper anyone?)
I mean, yeah, it would have been AWESOME if they took this route instead of the one they took, and a lot more room for character development and mORE FEELS. it could've been great, but I mean.. it was still great, but this could have added a few more episodes to the last season of gravity falls.

i remember watching this video as a middle school student, nearly every day, over and over again. i was studying for the exam (there is an exam for high school enterence in my country) and this show eased my anxiety. now that im a 19 year old teen who's studying in her dream uni, i feel so proud of myself, and so grateful for Gravity Falls. it will be my all time favorite cartoon show regardless of my age :)
look: when they made the first episode, they knew the show would end. Its like a book. Would you really want it to last forever? Heck, we were lucky to get a second season! Finding this again after so many years gave me nostalgic whiplash. I'm an adult now, but this show raised me. This specific video was one of my favorites.
My mind has just been blown with revelation. Dipper's first hat had a star, right? And Mabel has the star sweater, right? But dipper loses his hat in episode 1, when they reach Gravity Falls. So he gets a new one, no big deal, EXCEPT! Dipper is now Pinetree, the one who has "roots" in Gravity Falls. Mabel is still Shooting Star, the one who will never stop moving on. This takes meaning when dipper is given the offer to stay in GF, while mabel goes home. This changes when dipper loses his hat in finale part 1. His roots are now in question. We shall see what happens

Teaming up with bill would be suicide. Dipper is so upset he can't agree with Mabel on something no important, so he joins the other side. I just let my fingers type without my brain's consent.
Bill is a god like entity in this dimension, he manipulates those who are either easy to exploit or blinded by wanting to know more than they can not comprehend. Bill was once a human a quote from him in one of the episodes,"Its been so long since I was in a body.", that could be countered. When he says that he could be referring to the last time he used a human body 'Stanley Pines'. Re-stating what I typed in the beginning Bill said something about a 'mind scape' he is probably referring to the 4th dimension. A dimension that is beyond our field of vision and where dreams are held. This can be backed up since the 4th dimension has to do with space and time which Bill can control at his will. I really hope this happens in the series which will spice things even up more. Stan would probably have to do something that would either kill him or risk loosing Dipper and letting Bill Cipher complete his goal to make a bridge between both dimensions.

So he makes a deal with Bill, presumably trying to return things to the way they were - following the trend of keeping the past going on. So what happens is that Wierdmageddon was started by Dipper instead of Mabel, and on purpose instead of by accident.

SHE came up with the idea to write "Sevral tymez sux" on the windshield getting them out of the FBI car, HER grappling hook came to use yet again, SHE noticed the -Jackalope- Antelabbit horns looked odd which got them to discover the security footage, SHE discovered the box of newspaper clippings, Fake IDs and stuff (Even being the first seeing the STAN PINES DEAD headline) SHE realized the code was for the vending machine of all things, And most of all... SHE *DIDN'T* PRESS THE BUTTON. Im sure im missing some things but that's all I got.
Anyway that contrast spurred some theories and emotions amongst the community. Ideas like Mabel's rising stardom in a sense would leave Dipper "the smart one" behind. "If i'm not the smart one (Dipper)/ a Good person (Mabel) who am I?" The betrayal of Mabel listening to her heart and disobeying her twin brother over some guy who at that point was a mastermind criminal scam artist with a fucking GODDAMN DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Also some tiny hints of Dipper beginning to act like / become Bill didn't help either. Him being somewhat a manipulative person with the "ill help you IF you let my sister go to the party." Also a point repeatedly brought up during this time that people freaked out over was the odd detail of when the portal FINALLY activates and it cuts to Dipper his pupils are huge (Bipper anyone?)
I mean, yeah, it would have been AWESOME if they took this route instead of the one they took, and a lot more room for character development and mORE FEELS. it could've been great, but I mean.. it was still great, but this could have added a few more episodes to the last season of gravity falls.

i remember watching this video as a middle school student, nearly every day, over and over again. i was studying for the exam (there is an exam for high school enterence in my country) and this show eased my anxiety. now that im a 19 year old teen who's studying in her dream uni, i feel so proud of myself, and so grateful for Gravity Falls. it will be my all time favorite cartoon show regardless of my age :)

Finding this again after so many years gave me nostalgic whiplash. I'm an adult now, but this show raised me. This specific video was one of my favorites.
This was my childhood, it brings back too many memories and feelings. I love Gravity Falls 💕
My mind has just been blown with revelation. Dipper's first hat had a star, right? And Mabel has the star sweater, right? But dipper loses his hat in episode 1, when they reach Gravity Falls. So he gets a new one, no big deal, EXCEPT! Dipper is now Pinetree, the one who has "roots" in Gravity Falls. Mabel is still Shooting Star, the one who will never stop moving on. This takes meaning when dipper is given the offer to stay in GF, while mabel goes home. This changes when dipper loses his hat in finale part 1. His roots are now in question. We shall see what happens

Teaming up with bill would be suicide. Dipper is so upset he can't agree with Mabel on something no important, so he joins the other side.

Bill is a god like entity in this dimension, he manipulates those who are either easy to exploit or blinded by wanting to know more than they can not comprehend. Bill was once a human a quote from him in one of the episodes,"Its been so long since I was in a body.", that could be countered. When he says that he could be referring to the last time he used a human body 'Stanley Pines'. Re-stating what I typed in the beginning Bill said something about a 'mind scape' he is probably referring to the 4th dimension. A dimension that is beyond our field of vision and where dreams are held. This can be backed up since the 4th dimension has to do with space and time which Bill can control at his will. I really hope this happens in the series which will spice things even up more. Stan would probably have to do something that would either kill him or risk loosing Dipper and letting Bill Cipher complete his goal to make a bridge between both dimensions.

So he makes a deal with Bill, presumably trying to return things to the way they were - following the trend of keeping the past going on. So what happens is that Wierdmageddon was started by Dipper instead of Mabel, and on purpose instead of by accident.
