I would buy Huawei once it launches in my country only because it's a PERFECT PHONE. What makes it perfect? Absence of DATA THIEF "Google". I would even ditch Gmail all at once.
Why you are using UA-cam ? Since u said google is a data thief. So I would advice you to deactivated your google account and leave UA-cam, don’t ever come back.

For Netflix you have to use previous version. I have an Huawei Mediapad M6 and after googling I found someone reporting some old version working like the more recent 4.16.3 build of Netflix. Unfortunatly this version doesn't include downloading video but still the rest work fine. I also had some difficulties installing the chinese Google service installer, I had to update my Huawei android os trough Huawei store before beeing able to install Google services.
Look my friend. I own the Mate 20 Pro and the iphone 11 pro max (i also own the note 9). From all phones i own the iPhone is the best. Why that? It’s just a more polished experience. The message system is better, the phone is also more secure and the camera and battery are a beast. After a while the mate 20 pro seems just trivial.
Xianjun Zhou and what is so different from the mate 20 pro? The experience is almost the same. No double speakers, no volume buttons, a murky display from BOE (not it’s bad just medicore). A funny looking message system and last but not least lousy app support.
Is it illegal for such installations? Is it approved by HW or Google ? Is there any security issue after installations ? How about the future security update of the Google apps ? Without updated android OS by Google, will the HW emulated android OS crash with the Google services or other Playstore apps ? Are you sure Google will not ban all the new HW phone to use Google services in future ?

What about optimization? I mean we can download all apps and things but what about optimization? Like games... for instance pubg? Will it be optimized for huawei mate 30 pro? Will all the apps be optimized for this phone? Will they run lag free?
Well, you do not "optimize" for a specific phone when you write an app. I have written many for various companies. You optimize for screensize and Android version. Android is open source, so they run the only Android there is, same as everyone else. Unless they go full crazy with strange screens, you will be fine. As for the hardware, the app does not do that optimization, thats done by the hardware drivers. Huawei writes them for their chipsets, and for stuff they buy, the company who made those parts write drivers for them. So thats no different from any other phone either. Apps run ontop of Android and various frameworks, hardware is below that and not managed by apps.

@@tetrazone8487 oh, no idea. I think you should be fine with any high end device. I never benchmarked apps between devices. I do not think hardware drivers is a problem for any of these companies, they all know what they are doing. Their software modifications though, there I think (in my experience) that Samsung does worst job optimizing all their Samsung apps/services. They always throw in more customized solutions than anyone else. Like they want every possible feature ever thought up, to be in the same device. That always affects their battery life. Dont get me wrong, I love their new OneUI, Samsung Health and other stuff. I have a s10+. But I rooted it so I could throw out 30+ of their apks and add custom tweaks just to get decent batterylife. I had a Huawei P20 Pro before and it lasted double the time as my S10+ before I rooted the S10+. Never had to root the Huawei. Never was a problem with battery drain, it was great. Huawei P20 Pro has 4000mAh battery S10+ has 4100mAh battery Still the S10+ lasted half as long as I was used to from Huawei. But the S10+ is faster (newer too so not strange). But yeah, I think Samsung wants to do everything which always affects the battery. But for optimization for games etc I would say any high end would be good, I think.

I have a question. Installing the Google suite seens possible on the Mate 30 series. But will the contacts in my Google world work on the phone? It is my understanding that Google does not have a phone app. Will Huawei's phone app work with Google contacts? If not, is there anyway to export the Google contacts and import into any other Android phone like the Mate 30?
im curious, if one looks into own devices, g account, then one sees there mate 30 pro. so googl knows its a mate 30 pro which should not have access to the playstore in the first place (its a query away). im wondering why the device is not masquerading itself as p30pro or so, which had the g services from the beginning. then probably changing the password for the googl account would be a good idea (one inserted the credentials in that downloaded app).
I'm not saying don't do this, but I would think carefully before doing so, especially in the case of Google Pay. If something goes wrong and you lose money or its stolen, I can see insurance not covering it as you've had to unofficially sideload the app and its not officially compatible. With there being a very high limit on Google Pay purchases, this would be a serious concern for me.

Yeah, pretty much. I'm using the Nex 3 at the moment and actually got my APK from a different site to the one Toddy shows here, but otherwise it's all essentially the same, so I'm pretty sure this one should work for the Nex - Dom
Even if this method don't exist you can still install every android app and install youtube vanced from your browser on mate 30 and your back in business!!

Things like webview can be updated by Google Play automatically. Think this of a custom ROM w/o GAPPS.

H Lau you can download apps on any android phone from browser you don’t need google play store or anything and no it doesn’t break your phone.
How about the existing Huawei's phone? Am I still be able to update all the apps (eg youtube) and use it as usual after the ban has started? thanks

Chromecast support seems to work across the board and I've found that sideloading Netflix from APK Mirror also worked - Toddy

Once I installed Google's Contacts app on the Mate 30 Pro, my contacts appear in the phone's native dialler app without issue - Toddy
