Great video Adam. Word of warning. Ny sister in law here in Istanbul has a Huawei phone that hasn't been getting security updates. She kept her bank account codes, social security information, and passwords to FB, Instagram etc in a document on the phone. It was hacked, all passwords stolen, 4000tl stolen from her current account. Luckily noticed in time and was able to cancel her bank and credit cards before any other damage was done including access to her deposit accounts. She had her son sideload Playstore and other apps. If you can sideload Playstore you have opened the door to hackers. I'm sure she's not the first and won't be the last.
1. Download GMS.zip from google drive link on the description 2. Extract GMS.zip and put it on the flashdisk. You have folder named google and huawei.zip file 3. Copy the google folder to phone's internal storage on the root directory 4. Restore backup using huawei.zip on the flashdisk from phone's settings 5. Install all of 6 apk files in the google folder on the internal storage from step 3 6. Runs blue G icon on the homescreen and when it finished then restart your phone 7. Done, google services installed on your Huawei Mate 30 phone 🥂🍺

Just a quick question, Installing GMS through the Chinese app cannot pass the Google Safety NET CTS profile scan. Will this method solve this problem? If failed with CTS profile scan, those apps such as Netflix or some banking app will treat the phone as untrusted device and stop the app running on the phone.

I don't think a windows computer matter as long as you're able to transfer the files onto the usb. Connecting to the computer directly using hisuite didn't work for me.
Thanks Adam, I just got my Honor Play 3 from China and finally get this phone revived with google apps! Bear in mind that the Google contacts syn and service framework need to be replaced with android 9.0 version, the files included in gms.zip are all for android 10.0.
We only need a one-click installer to install Google services. In our China, Google is not included in mobile phones. We also need to install it by ourselves. We also need to use VPN XD to use Google applications.

Good video! Nicely shows all the steps. I was able to find the similar solution on XDA the other day, and that requires using Huawei HiSuite. However, that app seems not working as it supposed to be on Mac. So the USB C drive is brilliant!!! The only thing left is Google Pay. 😞

Nope because it doesn't install the google services framework which is essential.
