The seven holiday ideas are:
Easter / Flower Bunny Day:
- Traditions include Decorations (spring), Egg Hunt, Flower Bunny, Attend Holiday Ceremony and Grand Meal.
Wild in Winter
- Traditions include Polar Bear Plunge, Streaking, Party Spirit
Spring Clean
- Traditions include Cleaning, and Appreciating an Object
Summer Vacation
- Traditions include Taking A Vacation, Water Activities, and Drinking
Remembrance Day
- Traditions include Remembrance, Attending Holiday Ceremony and Tell Stories
Halloween
- Traditions include Decorations (spooky), Wearing A Costume, Trick or Treat and Spooky Spirit

I like to set seasons for 14 days so that I can add plenty of holidays, like these:
January: Polar Bear Plunge
February: Valentine's Day, Super Bowl Sunday
March: Spring Cleaning, St. Patrick's Day
April: April Fool's Day, Easter
May: Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day
June: Pride Day
July: Independence Day
August: Summer Barbecue
September: Labor Day (the least exciting holiday)
October: Halloween
November: Thanksgiving
December: Christmas, New Year's Eve
I have a few custom holidays. I usually make a holiday at the beginning of Winter to put up Winterfest decorations so it’s like getting prepared for the holiday season. I’ll also have my sims purchase gifts to give to each other from plopsy or buy gifts from phone to exchange on Winterfest day. Also, Treat Yo Self Day (from Parks & Rec tv show) have sims do any self care stuff like go out (to a restaurant or spa), spa activities, and water activities like using hot tub or bathhouse in Snowy Escape. Anything you consider self care. I like to do 28 day seasons because I play long lifespans for legacy gameplay.
I made a Vlad appreciation day for my vampire Sims. The holiday is. Appreciating Vlad's photo and fasting.
The day after is the vampire feast day.
I love the barbecue idea! In America we have independence day where we barbecue set of fireworks drink and swim. I added it to my calendar and called it simdependence day lol

If you have the university add on it's great to have a freshers week party. With drinking, streaking and whatever else floats your boat! I also add in a harvest festival in the autumn and have my sims be thankful, invite guests and have a grand meal.
I add in Wiccan holidays like Eostre, Samhain, and Yule. Sometimes I also add in other cultural holidays for various Sims, like Pesach and Chanukkah for my Jewish Sims, as well as other ones like Kwanzaa and Diwali. I have a pretty diverse cast among my 20+ families.

Oh no, your Sims are going to freeze to death all over the place! xD Spring cleaning is a great idea, I need to clean out inventories and do chores anyway, so why not? Remembrance day sounds great too. Could be placed right after Halloween.
Ooh I really like that placement for Remembrance day! The spring cleaning one is such an easy holiday to do for any sim too which can be nice.
#1 Install the extreme violence mod and create purge day.
I have Patriots Day, the equivalent of the 4th of July/Memorial day. Day off of work, shoot off fireworks, be thankful, and visit a gravestone or urn.

Simdependence Day!
I love the Wild Winter suggestion. In my game I have "Remembersnce Day" with all the same activities but I just call it "Memento Mori".
Every Halloween in the sims i set the house lot to a haunted residential to add some more spookiness and I make my sim use the medium table like if they are playing with the ouja board and I put some spooky props around and the ghost candies

I totally can and totally will! It's on the list... but I haven't actually put a date down for when I'm going to do it as I want to add more clubs and families that run them into my neighbourhood before I do. It might not be for a little while but it will happen!
I got seasons yesterday and I made a holiday called chaos day. It’s set in the winter too and has fighting, mean interactions, streaking, polar bear plunging… you get the idea 😂
Also for some reason I’m missing the fireworks holiday tradition?

I have my seasons set to 14 days and give th/F-TW as summer vacation for the kids parents who work weekend jobs still go to work and on the Monday in the middle of summer vacation is independence day so everyone gets to be off fireworks and BBQ. I also add winterfest Eve so winterfest so santa comes the night before and we have to bake for him. But yeah I have 2 holidays per season so 1 per week. Winter-New Years Eve/Winterfest eve+Winterfest, Spring- Love day/Easter Summer - Summer Vaction + Sim INdependance day/ Will Wright Day ( gnomes, fires, fasting, cleaning and swimming!) Fall - Thanksgiving/Halloween
Have you ever had a bug where party goals aren't visible if you throw a party during a holiday, because they are both located in the same place on the screen? It's a real party ruiner.
@@Backup_Plan Yeah, I've been penalized for not fulfilling goals I can't see. Did not reach even silver level at that party. 😪

if youre american you can light off fireworks on summer bbq, thats what i tend to do. i also make egg day and spooky day but the rest was new ideas. thank you for this video
No Gay Pride (or Sydney Mardi Gras)? It was the first holiday I created. Fireworks and dancing work well as activities.

Party spirit, romantic spirit, tell stories, go on vacation or travel (go downtown, of course), and streaking for Pride in my game. But I think you could go without the streaking.

It’s not necessarily a holiday idea but close-ish. Is there an option to have a funeral for a sim? I would love to see that feature if they don’t already have it in game.
Hi Caroline! If you have city living then you can use podiums to hold eulogy's for sims. So if you make a church-style lot you can use them to kind of have a funeral. It's a bit clunky though and can be hard to get sims to actually stay the course and sit and watch the funeral.
There are a few prerequisites to hold a eulogy.
1. There needs to be a podium on the lot.
2. Your sim needs to have the tombstone of the sim you want to hold a eulogy for in their inventory.
3. The sim needs to have at least level 6 charisma.
Then you can click on the tombstone in a sim's inventory to give a eulogy.
Sorry it's not more straight forward but I hope that helps :)
