@Blu.86-te1pr it doesn't bother me on this otf but it would on a folder idk. They have a zero blade play otf comming out prob gona be 400 or more though. Still really like my mini hera wish i had the green though.
im thinking alot about getting one of these hera 2 minis. I wonder how slicey it is behind the edge. I had an ultratech before and that blade is chunky as heck. I prefer my edc knives to be more thin at the edge. does it seem to be thick at the edge like an ultratech or utx 85?
Yeah I wouldn't call it thin. It's not as slicey as a lot of my other edc knives. The blade is not very tall. It is pokey and sharp not to mention pretty cool. Don't have either of those but it's not a super slicey blade. Knife is smooth and high quality. The deployment is much easier than other microtech knives I've tried
@@nicksknives7777 that's what I was expecting. All the retailers show the blade stock thickness at about .07 or .08 but considering the grind is so short it has to be steeper. That's too bad. I'd really like it if they did these with a hollow grind
@@mcsquirgle the only double edges that Microtech put out that I would say are truly sharp out of the box are the Combat Troodon and the Dirac Delta. Like you said, the blades are just too narrow to get a good edge on them from the factory. Now their single edges and their Tantos have never disappointed. They’ve been amazingly sharp for a factory edge right out of the box. At least in my experience anyway.
I just added the mini Hera to my collection of OTF's. Nice action compared to my older Ultratechs.
@dbmail545 yeah it's smooth and easier to deploy. I like the design better than the older ones
Thank you for going over the blade play. No one else does that.

All OTF’s except for just a handful has Blade play.
Medford, Axial, the new Ultratech on the way, to name a few.
I have several Microtech OTF’s, especially some of the new ones and they are all fantastic knives!
Pretty happy with my 1st microtech high quality knife, maybe a ram lock stich next.
Man I fought with getting another UTX-85 or a Mini Hera. Went with the UTX Tanto but the Hera will probably be next.
@nikdrown i really like it. I wish I had the full size. Microtech just came out with a no blade play OTF. Interesting

@devin2355 yeah me to really nice even lines, impressive knife for the money
Ur hands are huge compared to those knives
Maybe I need to get bigger knives.
