Nick's Knives

Knife info. Collecting and messing around with pocket knives helps take my mind off negative things that life throws at us. They are like little works of art u can hold and use, what is not to like.

sharp by design kaviso 80's mini tempest
I've got the polished gray exciton. I absolutely love this new finish they're doing
I just added the mini Hera to my collection of OTF's. Nice action compared to my older Ultratechs.
@dbmail545 yeah it's smooth and easier to deploy. I like the design better than the older ones
Would make a great hunting knife, it was thinner blade stock.
Shiro look alike
I don't understand for the amount of money we spend on knives we get the shittiest packaging
U get a nice box with a full dress Herman lol.
Damn. Thats my dream hunting knife right there!
Pick one up they r very reasonable 120 bucks. Don't think u will regret it.
@@nicksknives7777 Here in New Zealand thats about $250
My Mini Iridium had excessive up/down play. Others had the same problem. Cause is the lock not fully engaging. I assume this a manufacturing defect. Disappointing for a $50+ knife from a reputable manufacturer. Too bad.... this could have been a budget banger from Kershaw. Returned.
Yeah that is disappointing. I ended up selling mine so didn't really have it that long. It worked while I had it but gd info none the less.
Not a bomb proof knive .edc.
@davidtate166 agreed, but gd for light duty.
In my pocket now .👍😎
25 dollars at Walmart.maybe not junk.yes .but i do enjoy Kershaw knives got a few ..
@davidtate166 for what they cost, they are worth it. I would say
What impact would Skiff bearings have on the action? I've never used them before. Thank you!
@derekwedge09 very little, u may notice a slight difference on some knives. Skiffs will generally have more balls for better strength more points of contact. Oem bearings are gerally very smooth so not much difference there.
@@nicksknives7777 thank you sir! I appreciate the response and subbed
@derekwedge09 thx appreciate it. I will let u know my cybernetic ended up with an issue. I developed some lock rock, unfortunately, which is a shame such a gd carry until that point.
Why didn't you change the blade
Beautiful. Thank you for your great review.
Buy a Buck 105 and not Chinese junk.
@DPM-dp9on I have a buck 112 and it doesn't even come close to my reate Chinese make knives. My burg blades reate made knife is all usa materials assembled in China.
@@nicksknives7777 I disagree, buy what you want, but I try to support our enemies as little as possible. Sometimes there are no options, but there are plenty of quality American made knives available.
Your title is misspelled. It may be why I searched UA-cam for this knife 4 days ago and didn't see this one until tonight.
@@blackbirdpie217 ooops just saw that
I have the same savequeen #154^^ I love it and hate that I can`t carry it XD
@@BTLtrips time 4 a second one, it's a fun knife and carries surprisingly well.
@@nicksknives7777 I am deep. But not that deep into the collection. 😄
@@BTLtrips yet lol
@@nicksknives7777 I have a budget that is quiet low. Just to stay strong.
This was a surprise favorite for me. It would be nice if it was 14c or Nitro V, but great little knife
D2 is fine High edge retention.
@davidtate166 agreed d2 is a great budget steel, maybe if u live by the ocean not so much. I have a feldspar with d2 I use often.
Might pick this one up.
@davidtate166 there is a hint of play when u wrench on it but this is such a small knife with thin blade stock. For under 70 bucks it's a gd edc for lighter use.
Walmart got them now.this line of knives are winners 🏆 for Kershaw.
$64.99 on Amazon tonight. After much research I chose this mini over the regular sized version. Good review, thanks!
I have one on the way. Thanks for the review.
@fredstephens6737 it's a big boy but comfortable and solid, think ur gona like it
Do you recommend this knife !!?
@arefghazal6081 I really like mine, the deployment takes a little getting used to. I don't have issues deploying it, but it's not the easiest. It locks up like a vault and is quite the looker. Very very smooth on the close. Overall I really like carrying mine.
What about grey color is’t cool ?
@arefghazal6081 yeah it's got a nice finish. Kinds shiny but kinda subtle at the same time. The lighter one is my favorite but I like the grey to, 2nd favorite of all the cybernetic variants.
Looks cool in the sunlight
They used African rosewood for the handle which is a hardwood with alot of natural oils. Which means it will be tough and not smash/dent very easily. Also when that clear coat breaks down from use or purposely removed, the natural oils will keep it from drying out and cracking quickly like other dry woods. Of course regular wood maintenance still applies ie: anual application of linseed oil etc.
@cory-z4t gd info. I just like wood grain on a knife I think it adds character.
I've got both versions of the Saakshi you have but I swapped the scales.
@paulschuckman6604 yeah I thought about that but decided to sell one. Great little knife, slicey and very comfortable.
A Loveless inspired design, you could do worse....
@frankmorris4790 Yeah, it's not a 500 dollar custom. I will say for 120 bucks, it seems like a solid piece with gd execution. And I'm a fan of the design. You can tell there was some thought put into it, in my opinion.
During the size comparison at the end, you said “PM3.” That’s a Para 3. There is no PM3.
@njo9966 yep
I want a Sweeney so bad. If I get one, it will probably be that one, cuz it's the only satin in stock. I'd rather cf, but I have a couple ultem knives. Def a sweet blade regardless.
@Cannons_N_Cutlery yeah just a heads up I put the timascus clip 9n the ultem scale and It cracked I didn't tighten it really tight or anything idk just thought u should know. I now have micarta scales on it as replacements. Yeah the mars valley would have been my choice or full ti.
Zero thought went into that knife by civivi, that's a loveless design.
I don't have a lot of fixed blade experience but I like the design and the fit and finish is really nice. Handle is also very comfortable. Spine could be sharper though.
Probably one of those "i have a $300 little spyderco knife fags
:COMMENT CENSORED BY CHANNEL:
I bought the green handled one. Should be here Sunday. Beautiful lookin' knife.
@GreenfaceONE yeah almost got that one but I'm a sucker for a nice wooden handle. It is a very gd lookin blade I think u will like it.
China 😮
AND?
That is one of the most beautiful fixed blades I've ever seen. What a handle!
@messyjesse1173 when I saw it, I was like yeah I gotta have that one. Thx
I got me a green handled one coming. Own a lot of Civivi knives but this is my first fixed blade from them.
@GreenfaceONE me to, saw this one and knew I wanted it. I'm glad I'm picked it up I think u will like it.
That's real nice looking. Strikes me as a real workhorse. Like you, my fixed blades are basically used for outdoorsy, camping type stuff. Now, let's see you baton some wood! :-D
@bradjustbrad challenge accepted my friend and yes, I think it's a beautiful blade. If u pick one up let me know.
Are these legal to carry?
Depends on where u live. In Missouri there is no restrictions that I could find. It's kinda silly they are banned anywhere. It's just a different way to deploy the knife no more dangerous than any other knife idk.
Nice. Picked up the full serrated version that rides on a ring with my backup keys. It's a small king.
@coppernicklaus245 yeah I was surprised when I got all 4 fingers on it. It's a gd design for such a small thing!
Great little knife love mine
Fun little knife. I love the Dragonfly design in general. The salt series is perfect for boating and I even carry it while I surf lol.
@@thechugdude gota fend off those sharks with something 😆
I know I could look it up and see how much. But I’m not going to. I already know it’s too much because I like it and instantly want one😂
Yeah there pricey but the feel very nice, hard to describe. Also hard to go back once u get one 😆.
I got this exact knife in serrated as a gift for my bro who fishes last year. Awesome knife. I finally saw it in person when I saw him and it’s unused in mint condition 😂
@martinaee well at least he was getting some use out of it. That would be the perfect application for that knife.
@martinaee ohhh shit u said unused well he's missin out
@@nicksknives7777 I think he just doesn’t want to use it because it’s such a nice knife haha.
@martinaee it's not a bad little knife for the money but ur right there r much nicer blades fo sure.
I like it. I think of that as right sized. I think a lot of the knives folks carry are overkill. If you want a small one, I'll offer my Spyderco Bug. (2.5" open, 1 3/4 closed) Nice price!
@bradjustbrad thx I generally carry at least medium size knives but something about this one I just kinda liked. Appreciate the offer I'll think about it.
Tiny little guy! Don't cut yourself
Lol ikr
Nice!
Love that pop of blue 🔵🥷🏽🤙🏽
@BluminatiNinja great knife one of my favorites thx for watching 👀
Pretty cool. I need that one to show off on my channel. Nice knife!
Thx man it has a learning curve as far as opening but it's worth it. Soooo smooth n stylish 😎
@@nicksknives7777 agreed!
Came over from Metal Complex's live stream. Saw your comment.
@bradjustbrad thank u man been a work in progress but enjoying putting content out and interacting with people like yourself.👍
Holy shit! You're planning on carrying that guy?? Both of them would be safe queens for me!
@Layzboyedc yeah can't help myself just such a cool knife gotta carry and use it. Few days of carry so far Im really liking it carries smaller than it is and the clip is great. The polished ti version is gona stay my safe queen. Thanks for watching 👀
Just ordered one 💪🏽
@stay.silent5011 worth it, I am enjoying mine.
Damn that’s cool!
my problem with the iridium is how far your finger is from the blade. They should have made it so you can grip it higher than you can. Also still d2 is a no for me. Where I live d2 rusts like nothing else
@escapetherace1943 my problem is the blade play and flexy nature of the blade.
@@nicksknives7777 yeah I tried the heist which is basically the same knife but nylon handles and... exact same amount of play you had in the video. Kershaw support asked me if I tried tightening it. Lol. I actually did, it took out the play, but was too tight to flick out comfortably. There was either play and good action or no play and bad action, nothing in between. Sold it
I don’t like cross bars either 🤮
