  • A six day backpacking trip with David Knaus in Wyoming's Wind River Range. The trip commenced at the Green River Lakes Trailhead and hiked upstream on the Highline Trail. Then we took the Clark Creek Trail to the Porcupine Creek Trail over Porcupine Pass and continued down the Porcupine Creek to Lakeside Trail back to the Green River Lakes Trailhead.
    Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the video.

    I hikes this area in 2001. I saw two moose, my first ever in the wild. I had forgotten how nice it is. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

    Oh, we've been looking forward to this video! The Winds are gorgeous! We're heading out to Badlands National Park this weekend but will watch your video this Sunday night when we get home. We've been to the Green River Lakes area and Squaretop Mountain. It's so beautiful! Have a great day! 😃

    I want to add that explorers should avoid filtering water from the Green River because the suspended glacial silt will clog your filter. Use one of the many side streams instead.

      Thanks for this information Michael. We filtered from side streams, as I suspected that the silt would be an issue for our filters.

    So you do not live in a free country! Even in the woods you cant camp vhere you want to!

    • @BryanDeLay
      @BryanDeLay  10 годин тому +1

      Interest comment bolleolympus! It depends on where you are. For example in many national parks you have to camp in designated sites. It also varies greatly in designated wilderness areas. In the wilderness areas in the southern Appalachian Mountains, where I live, you can camp anywhere. The Bridger Wilderness, where this video was filmed, you have to camp at least 200 feet from lakes and trails and 100 feet from streams. In other wilderness areas out west the regulations regarding the distance from lakes and streams can vary. with some not having any distance requirement.

      @@BryanDeLay Here there is human excrement laying even on the trail in our nationalparks. And not to mention beercans and spiritbottels! In the trees there is toiletpaper, not everyvhere but there exists! So yopu can say we have a free country!
