Still get a shiver down my spine and feel proud when I hear Hearts of Oak
What a great video. Such a real shame that we live in a world where it is necessary to protect our armed forces and the general public with armed police.
Fantasic video once more!
The marches are:
The Champion*
Heart of Oak
Glorious Victory
The Thin Red Line
Rising of the Lark
*One of my fav marches ever, played on Trooping the Colour 2015 and then rarely since, especially by other bands than the army, but the RMCTC Band performed a stunning rendition, especially of the bass solo marching around the tree!
Also, the New guard seemed to have a far bit of distance behind the band, especially up Castle Hill!
The Champion was very well performed wasn't it !! And I could see that the New Guard were a long way back from the Band. That was the main reason that I was a bit lazier than usual with the zoom today. Just trying to figure it out, and not mess it up. Ultimately I had to cut the Navy to a large extent. Hell, maybe they did not want to be filmed. What can you say ?!?!?! :D Later Sir.
@@Cynocephali I'm glad you agree with that on the Champion, haha, yes perhaps the didnt!
Perfect timing on the Marches always finish then they enter Windsor Castle and the barracks just in time with the regimental march! World class precision! Great video!
Thanks World of Marches.. Always a pleasure to get out to see the Royal Marines !!!
Absolutely marvellous, as one would only expect from these exceptional bandsmen and women.

Thank you Pete, beautifully done as always! No one but no one ever films the guard change as well as you. Anita 👍
Thanks Anita. Glad that you enjoy them so much. Winter is coming and the garden maintenance work has tailed right off so... with nothing but shopping to worry about and the crowds thinning out... off I go. :D
Cynocephali when are you going to do some more filming Pete? Would love to see some more 🙏
Is there a special name for the drummers "doing there thing" as at 4:35?
Drum solo
I thought the police in Windsor were back to wearing their helmets? Now you sometimes see them wearing it and then sometimes not... weird.
Great video mate,it would appear that my knowledge of marches is fading as i cant remember hardly any.
Are you going out filming again soon Military Events?
Military Bands Everywhere i hope so,I couldn’t last Sunday bc the train ls where not good so im going to try this weekend.
@@militaryevents107 Ah very good, all the best, a shame about the public transport letting you down! It's all been a bit quiet for me since my surge in productions through November haha!
Truth is that I cannot name a single march most days. Even as I recognise the sounds, I do not even try to memorise the titles. I do have a handful of favourites that I instantly recognise, but I spend so much of my mental effort on what is restricted inside that little 2 inch screen that I do not even properly listen to the music until I make the video. I know that the music is always going to be there, regardless of where I point the lens, so it is only the images that I actually take notice of. Cheers !
Fantastic display and performance by The Band of HM Royal Marines, Commando Training Centre ...... superb musicianship and marching to perfection. The only slight disappointment is the Drum Major (D/M Birt, RM) is not doing any "Stars and Swings" display with his mace whilst marching. This is something that all RM Drum Majors are famous for and carry this routine off to perfection, so I don't understand why he never did this display at all ?
The RM Band from Scotland have a Drum Major (D/M Mace, RM ..... yes, that's his name believe it or not) simply loves to perform this action and he carries it out superbly, as we have seen from other recent Windsor Castle Royal Navy / Royal Marines Bands Duties. SuperNutkin
He may have been performing whan I was not in the vacinity. A fair bit of the march, especially up Sheet St. is done out of my line of sight. We shall never know.
oooops, sorry, just seen his "Swings & Stars" at very start of video.
However, not doing it very often, unlike Drum Major Chris Mace from Scotland RM Band who simply loves to perform this renown and unique performance every few minutes whilst marching around. ...... SuperNutkin
Dm mace is probably my favourite and personally the best dm in the Royal Marines, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him back in 2017 when he was with the RMSoM, top bloke, really nice and accepting allowing me to have a photo with him!
Gosh the police are so untidy
Someone get the scruffy plod out the way.
At least he is in step, the police are all scruffy now
