I just now discovered your UA-cam channel, and I'm so glad I did! You remind me so much of my daughter, so that endears you to me even more. I love your love for your pets, plants, and home. You are an inspiration! I just ordered some succulents from Succulent Box, and I will let you know how they do. TFS!
Your plants are so beautiful and healthy looking!! I’ve always loved your big kitchen window but more now that I’m trying to get back in to plants. It’s gorgeous! What a great place to showcase them. Love all of your white pots too and the aged terra cotta. Do the hanging Rae Dunn ones have drainage holes? They have some of them on TJM online marked down. They don’t say anything about the holes though. Thanks for your help!
Love the analogy about how spraying plants is like warming a room with a match. Doing it more I feel like it does help where it can since a lot of the water gets on furniture/the floor and it still has to evaporate into moisture!
Thanks, I can't remember who originally said it but it stuck with me. Regardless I still mist them though lol, I enjoy the time I spend misting and fussing with them :)
Wow what a collection of plants. They all look great . You definitely have a Green thumb. I also love plant's and I have two Hoyas and they flower all the time. I have a lot of your plants that you have , but not as many . I do have a lipstick plant my Aunt gave me . And I have a lot of Christmas cactus and African Violets. Thank you for sharing your wonderful plants. So until next time God Bless you and have a wonderful day.
Thanks for watching, I have to give an african violet another go, I had one but that was in the beginning of my plant journey and I think I overwatered it, it may be time to try again :)
I love your pots. Do they all have drainage holes or do you put them in yourself? I also love the pots you’re string of hearts is in but I am afraid to put mine In any pot that does not have a drainage hole. Please let me know.
I have a calathea orbitafolia and they don’t like direct sun, also need a lot of humidity or will have brown tips and leaves. If let go completely dry it’s bad news. Nice plant collection!
i really want to start having plants at my home. This has inspired me even more. They make your house so beautiful. I am soon starting to post interior decor videos too. happy to be here and subscribed
I may be wrong, but that Hoya cutting looks more like Hoya shepherdii (aka string bean Hoya) rather than a Kentiana. I think the Kentiana has a reddish-brown border around the leaves and the leaves are shorter and wider. I just got a Hoya shepherdii and love it.😊
The Hoya you have in bathroom, looks like a hoya sp. aff. burtoniae. It's supposed to get red/brown on new growth. I like the reddish ring around older leaves, so I have them w/ get direct morning sun. It grow really quickly if given bright light.. which I noticed mine is since I moved them.
I always enjoy your plant tours! I need to figure out how I'm going to hang my spider plant and my Baby Bunny Bellies plant once the weather gets cool here and I have to bring them inside. I don't really want to screw a bunch of plant hangers into the walls or window frames so was thinking of making a free standing one sort of like a coat tree. I have an orange tree that I got as a sapling back in 2004/2005 (it's getting huge) it has a bunch of oranges on it and I just noticed yesterday that it has more blossoms on it! It's one of my plants I would be devastated to lose. I also have a Christmas cactus that my sister gave me when I moved into my last house in 2008. It lives on my front porch in the warmer months and then I bring it in around early November. I always enjoy seeing it bloom each year!
I'm going through the same thing with trying to figure out what I'm going to do with all my plants. I'm leaning toward using a clothing rack that I can position near a window or led grow light.
I think calathea orbifolia are also prayer plants. My pilea got so leggy I had to cut it down and am rooting them in water. It's pups are leggy now too. You can just stick your string of bananas directly into the soil without roots. They'll do just fine. You're lucky to have nice plants at your Lowe's. Mine only seems to have the ubiquitous houseplants. Boring.
You're right, they are in the prayer plant family, I never notice mine folding up like the smaller ones, maybe it's more work for the larger leaves? (I've also done the same thing with my pilea, I was so nervous the first time I cut the entire top off, but just went for it and it turned out fine in the end :)
Thanks for another plant video! I’m so jealous of you pilea. It has so many leaves. Mine is growing but doesn’t have as many leaves and no pups.🙁 Maybe I need to move it.?.? 🤔
It's so weird how some plants thrive in different homes, I have so much trouble with getting any growth on my hoyas, but the pilea seems to do fine. I have it on the north side of my home, but it's in a skylight so it gets a fair amount of sun, I also water it like a succulent (i overwatered once and it started dropping leaves like crazy, I ended up chopping the top off and propagating it to keep it short and bushy)
Yellowing leaves is a natural part of the plant life cycle, kind of how we lose strands of hair or skin cells each day. If the plant only has a few leaves (like the banana plant I have in my living room) I'll leave the leaves on until they are all yellow. If there's still green in the leaf I leave it on so the plant can use it for energy.
I downsized my mom’s philodendron, too, for similar reasons. I love how you mix interesting objects into your plant displays. Your plants are thriving under your care! 🌱🌱🌱
You take pride in the care of your plants and it shows✌️
I love this tour, beautiful plants and neatly arranged. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a good idea. I might trim the top off too and see if it gets fuller.🤞🏼🌿
Where is the planter from with the monstera in it? At 4:54... thanks
The planter came from tj maxx, the stand is just some wood pieces I assembled to hold it.
