it doesnt matter which religion she was. people in iran arent all muslim. islam isnt even iran's religion its zoroastrianism, and we have christians in our country too..
persia once was many countries like afghanistan and other parts of other countries and countries into one. persia was very big, but then they got seperated in small land. many countries in the middle east dont realize they were once persian.

as far as i know (soraya) never been sent to live in exile, it was her request to get divorce from shah coz she couldnt get pregnant and basicly shah needed to have a child and after divorce she moved to germany or france coz she was involved in cinema and acting.
