This really is my\our favorite channel… after training, or a dirt dive we F around on UA-cam, just kind of decompress and more often than not one of us has your or Yeager’s videos playing and says hey look at this. There is something about the way you do things that is real, honest, and humble… You’ve helped me not waste money on trying certain suppressors, and it’s just been a good watch. I have been operating lately with the JK shorty 9mm (my money) not issued and love it, hardly know it’s there and tackles the ringing inside. I took your advice on the dead air platform personally even though we run CGS on everything professionally … I like to tinker with all the different configurations and options in my personal life. It’s fun/relaxing … And I appreciate you turning me on to that platform. Stay frosty and I hope your channel gets big and some of these manufacturers will send you amazing items to review… you deserve it over most of these go hard, douche bags acting like they know a thing or two and their only combat experience is video games.
Man, I appreciate that! Trying to help folks out is what we really push for around here. Are you talking about that tiny 105 CCX suppressor from JKARMAMENT? That little fella works shockingly well inside it’s niche 👌 I appreciate the support man, y’all stay safe. 😎👊🏻
I’m glad you understand man 🤙 If I used the highest mil-spec 5.56 ammo it probably wouldn’t show as well that military stuff has flash-retardant which I garrote you Wolf doesn’t use.
Thanks for the comparison! I have a Sandman L and end caps are something I've been wondering about, despite the massive length of the L. The tonal differences are wild between those end caps.
Could you do the E brakes with the flash hider end caps? Do you have 30cal FH end cap? I run an E brake and wanted to see if adding FH end cap would be worth it.
I don’t have a 30 cal FH front cap. I can do it with a 5.56 FH front cap. I almost guarantee you it won’t make a difference. With the eBrake behind the FH front cap it’s gonna negate the effects the FH cap would have. I’ll try and remember to try it though 🤔👍
Does the e-brake allow you to put a 5.56 end cap on the end? Also, the e-brake seems to be giving off a bit of flash which is natural given its design but arent suppressors meant to reduce the flash and signature of the weapon? Seems kinda conflicting to me but I suppose you cant get the benefits of alleviating back pressure without making a sacrifice in that way given the design.
You can put the 5.56 front cap on the Ebrake. It’s kinda pointless since the Ebrake had a 30cal bore 🤷♂️ So I’d your goal is to reduce decibels and recoil then go with the Ebrake. If you want more flash reduction then stick with the flash hider front cap. It depends on what you want your suppressor to do. I prioritize sound reduction over flash, so I prefer the Ebrake when I can.
I chopped my 16” PSA down to a 14.5 years ago and was pretty happy with it. Then I ended up chopping it again to 12.5 and ran in at the Tactical Games. The thing ran beautifully 👌
Haha 😆 I just chopped it with a hacksaw and then used an annular to get the OD correct. And I did the threading with a simple hand tap 👌 it’s a little intimidating but kit really that hard.
17.7oz vs 12.8oz, 6.8" vs 5.4". That means the K only adds ~2.7" to the end of a NOX or Jmac GFHC-E. Still less than 3" to a DA FH or Brake. And is 4.9oz lighter. Since we are talking beyond the end of the muzzle, that's significant if maneuverability is a priority.
Thanks John 😎🤙 The Sandman-K is a solid player for a maneuverable can on a shorty setup. Now that the Sierra had come out I’d probably go with that but the Sandman-K would open of your possibilities for 30 cal setups 🤔
@@CalebDowning Thanks for the heart man. I just pulled the trigger on Sandman K + 5.56FH cap. Since I do have a few 30cal with DA muzzle already. The K is still 2.6oz lighter and 0.87" shorter than Sierra w/ KM. Not too interested in the Xeno mount. And yes, would also love to have it on my X95 SBR, needed earbuds when shooting it anyways. That would be crazily maneuverable: ~26.5" OAL w/ 13" of 5.56 power, and the center of gravity would be less than 11" from the shoulder. MK18s are cool but X95 SBR ain't not picky nor barky.🤌
They work well in their niche. If you want something that’s super quiets then you should look elsewhere. But for a tough can that knocks down the sound, blast, signature then it’ll work fine. Obviously the K is going to sacrifice flash and sound reduction for size and weight over the S.
I know for me personally. The reason I got a Sandman S had absolutely nothing to do with sound reduction, flash mitigation, and durability were my driving factors. I run mine on a short AK and a short 5.56. Both are hell on cans. I can run it as hard as I want and not worry about barrel length or firing schedule.
Dude, they are short cans meant for centerfire rifle rounds, they're ALL loud as sh*t in person. Some cameras just adjust sound and quiet stuff down. As a Sandman K owner and with a friend who shoots the Sandman S.... I can tell you the K will make the shot not ring your ears without ear pro on a standard 10.3" AR, and the S is significantly quieter and is almost comfortable without ear pro, but not quite. No short-ish can on a 223/5.56 is going to be anywhere close to hearing comfortable for more than a few rounds without ear pro, and is absolutely not long term hearing safe. So at that point you might as well just buy the can that is going to be the toughest, have the best aftermarket support, and best mounts, because they are going to be loud and you are going to be wearing hearing protection anyways.

Awesome video, crazy how much difference the end cap makes on flash
Thanks Nicholas 👍 Agreed 👌

I’ll bet you’d notice more difference in the endcaps with your L over the shorter cans.

Was wording if you think the Ebrake was worth getting. Did it noticeably help with recoil or gas backpressure mitigation on the S?
I think it’s worth it. I feel like it does help reduce some backpressure and definitely does knock a couple decibels off.
@Caleb Downing Thanks for the reply man. Have a great weekend
Glad to help 👊🏻
I hope you have a good one too 😁
What is quieter on the sandman a 5.56 end cap or ebrake?
I’d say eBrake to my ear 🤔

@@CalebDowning It is very cool that the system can give you so much versatility!
Have you tried out the wipes with the wipe end cap
I have on sub 300blk but on supersonic rounds you’ll just tear up the wipe. That’s my experience at least.
What’s the twist rate on the end caps ?
I want to say it’s 1.180-24 TPI.
Love the vids man ! Have you thought about a 12.5 with sandman k vs 10.5 with sandman s video
Thanks!
Hmm, an interesting idea 🤔 That would make a good “short/reel”

Firstly!!!!! Yeah! I am actually very interested in this. Debating hard veterans Sierra and a K
The K is pretty loud compared to the Sierra. If you only want to shoot 5.56/223 then go with the Sierra.
Solid advice
I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE LOVE THIS CANN OTHER THEN IT'S TOUGHT. IT'S LOUD AS SHIT LOL , THAT GOES FOR THE WHOLE SANDMAN LINE.
