It’s always people that don’t own them that say you should not swap.
Own one for some time you you will change your mind on a swap
The 4.3 is a boat anchor of a motor. The syty motor internally only have different main caps and pistons.
They have the same shitty as cast crank that are known to break. The 700r4 trans is a pile of shit.
You can’t get aftermarket blocks anymore. Aftermarket cranks are $3500 to $4000. But now your stuck with a stock shitty as block with really thin cylinder walls. Only way to make the stock block stronger is to half fill. But they can still break.

100% agree. If it’s something to better the beater Sy/Ty in the long run then I justify keeping the legends alive. Great video.

Good video. I agree with what you said. If it’s a old Syty and you can’t get the parts that you need for the engine to get it going again. Swap it out with a LS motor. It’s better to have it on the road than having it rust away! I have a 93 Typhoon with low miles and I love that it’s all original. I wouldn’t change it.

I totally agree with you Pete. That's why I'll never v8 swap my blazer, because it still has it's original 4.3 engine.

My Syclone has 136k on the clock with the original engine and original 700r4. How the trans is still alive? I do not know. Must have been built on a Wednesday. But I do have plans on pulling the stock engine and trans, and swapping in a turbo LS. However, it will be dont to look factory. Which is how I typically build my cars anyway. Great video.

My Bravada was a 4.3 and had +250k miles on it. The motor blew up from a mechanic that put the wrong rod barrings in it. I had a built 350 in my garage that my dad was gonna use but never did so I swapped my truck. Now I get lots of s*** from s10 people about how much power the 4.3s can make and about how to stay original. People really need to mind there bushiness, if you like 4.3s so much just build your own. Not everyone need to know your opinion smh.

I agree with him on if they are a virgin vehicle. Keep him that way. I had a modded one and decided to LS swap it. 550hp and all wheel drive; No regrets. ua-cam.com/video/3Y1shK_cR3c/v-deo.html
