- THIS VIDEO IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE FOLLOWING SITUATION IN FLIGHT:
06-APR-2024. A Frontier Airlines Airbus A320neo (A20N), registration N324FR, performing flight FFT1723 / F91723 from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, AZ (USA) to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, WA (USA) shortly after departure reported left engine failure, declared an emergency, stopped climb at 5000 feet and requested return to the airport of departure. The airplane landed safely on runway 26 at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, vacated the runway and stopped on taxiway for inspection by emergency services.

HOW I DO VIDEOS:
1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.

This wont be all over the news because it’s not a Boeing. If it was a Boeing (who doesn’t even manufacture engines), the news would be saying “MORE WOES FOR BOEING AFTER ENGINE FAILURE” 🙄🙄

Not every little minor thing is “in the news” and a plane landing safely with no issues ain’t newsworthy. Happens all the time

Sure are a lot of emergencies at Sky Harbor in the last year or so.
More than likely it’s just someone monitors this airport/area way more than others
PHX is one of the busiest airports in the us
I mean, it’s a major commercial airport. I doubt there’s statistically any more per capita than any other major airport
The engines are not made by Airbus......just thought I'd get this in early.
And even if they were, when it comes to engine failures, it could always be a bird strike, fod or an issue related to maintenance.
Same goes for Boeing, Embraer etc.

True but linkages, fuel lines, control components etc are. Too many of these lately it will be interesting to see if this boils down to poor maintenance

always always some kind of issue with stating fuel. And its a little late to ask which turn he prefers when he already had given him instructions to turn right previously. That should have been his first question, instead of questions not critical to flight like souls and fuel.
The pilot can refuse the turn if it's a problem, but ATC will try to make things easier if possible. Fuel and souls are standard information they're told to gather. It's a bit like calling for an ambulance because of a badly broken leg, and being asked the classic triage questions like "is the patient breathing/conscious?"

Seems like engines are failing on almost a daily basis.
There’s over 100,000 commercial flights every single day. Even if there’s an engine failure a day that’s still so incredibly rare based on the number of daily flights.
Also a lot of these “engine failures” are just surges or minor issues and out of caution / reduce risk of engine damage it’s shut down as a precaution. The plane can still fly totally fine on one engine
At least it wasn't a Boeing...
