I feel the same way with my 2021Anthem Advanced Pro 29 1 that I'm going to go over the handle bars and doesn't feel very stable on the descents. Nice to hear with the slacker head tube angle that this feels better. I may need to upgrade. Thanks for the review.

Rob - having ridden this bike for some time now, you still prefer it over the previous model?
This was my bike shops bike that they let me borrow to do the review on. I’m not 100% sure which one is better. I did just sell my 2018 which was a sad day seeing as there are not any available to me currently.
Have preordered Pro 1, but will reveice it only May 2022. What is the weight of your Pro 2? I did consider also Pro 2, but delivery dates for those here in Europe were only in summer 2022.
The one I am on in the video here is heavy due to double power ready cranks, a bigger fork pit on until the right one came in, and some other things. It was sitting just shy of 24 lbs I think. I am going to put the specs up on it in the description later today.
NICE BIKE! I'm building mine. few questions: what size is the bb shell? what is the chain line for this bike? my 2020 anthem pro has a bb92 with a 2.5mm spacer for a 55mm chainline from giant. building this 2022, is it the same situation? takes a bb92 the 2.5mm space on drive side for a 55mm chain line?
Same bottom bracket, the other question depends on your cranks.

How did you like the new flexpoint pro rear suspension compared to the maestro? Any less plush? Harsher?
With more travel, it felt more plush.
Seems like that self rising seat post would be an issue. That’s what you get for using Viagra instead of Ultegra components.

That’s a great question, I have not tried fitting that on the new anthem yet. It may work, but you would have to use two small water bottles.

Does the 36T oval fit in this frame?
Not yet, that’s a no. But we may have some options to get one on there, maybe with Wolf tooth components
