    I too am waiting on my QZone Pro. I've watched your videos for years and have learned soooo much. I just ordered the feather ruler from you. This is going to make it so easy. I've got 7 quilts put together awaiting my frame. I purchased a Bernina 770QE several years ago that came with the stitch regulator. I have built a new home with a nice size sewing room. I'm so excited to get started. Thank you Leah for all you do to help us become better at quilting.

    Thank you Leah! You have inspired me. I have a large quilt with blocks set on point/ diagonal. I have wondered if I could set quilt on Qzone frame so I could easily stitch in ditch. You just showed me it is possible. I am not that experienced on the frame but I am going to try it. Great video. 😀

      Give it a try and see if it works! I would probably stitch that quilt from the center - out as you secure the ditches. That's something I've been wanting to try too!

    Thank you for helping me think outside the box. This was brilliant!! I tend to think of things one way and one way only, so this was a light bulb moment for me. Keep these kinds of videos coming! It might be 'normal' for you, but I am learning so much from you! I am looking forward to not being nervous around my frame and get using it! Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for even in this odd year. Rachela

    Waiting on my Q-Zone Pro with overhead light to arrive any day now. I have watched you for years and seeing you walk us through setting up the frame to encouraging us to take baby steps. This will give us confidence and precision to complete our quilts. On to your next video.

      Wonderful Karen! It is a lot of fun, but it is an adjustment when quilting on a frame!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! This was VERY helpful! I cannot wait to get the 1600! I would not have thought about putting the quilt at an angle, that is a wonderful idea! I have a tendency to box myself in and I need to be more experimental! I think the feather ruler will need to be a purchase soon! What a fun ruler! I really appreciate your videos. You have influenced me in so many ways. I have the grace frame and it has taken the pressure off my back and neck as I FMQ and I can now quilt longer! Plus I am about to try Isacord thread because I have so many breaks and issues with my cotton thread. I appreciate your help! Happy Thanksgiving!

    I have a little foot hoop frame and have done similar loading tricks to quilt odd areas. I have home made leader cloth I made from quilted fabric I bought years ago.

    I saw on the quilt that the was other intricate quilting. Am I correct? How was this accomplished? Is there any films of that? I’d love to see it completed.

    For an average throw, how many hours would it take for you to quilt it with an average amount of quilting (one inch space or so for you design). Also what is the neck/quilting area of the home machine that you're using?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  3 роки тому

      I really can't say how much time it will take. It depends on the design, how dense the quilting, and how complex the shapes. If you were doing something simple like an all-over wiggle and you could do that free hand, then you could quilt a throw quilt in a day - 6-8 hours of quilting. It would take less time if you had more space in the arm of the machine. This machine has 5 1/2 inches of space because of the foot I'm using and a 9 inch harp.
