No ifs, no buts, you cash out straight away and enjoy the rest of your night at the bar. Likewise if you win more than 5 times in a row. It may not have been the best strategy probability-wise, but you never end the night completely gutted, and you keep a potential addiction in firm check.
I don't have a gambling problem. I put money down, gamble, and it disappears, no problem.
"is there any skill involved?"
"any wha-?"
always makes me chuckle 🤣
1:50 I looked up "self-deluded" in the dictionary, and it had Martha's picture
This lady is one of my most memorable UA-cam personality’s EVER
*me too 4 million dollars we can dream*
Her accent is so good
I LOVE OLD SLOT MACHINES
I wonder what happened 7 years ago
Jimmy Fartboi i think her husband died? i dont know where ive got that from
Rubberchix and left her all the cash?
Rubberchix it said so in the show, he husband died and the casino held a memorial service
The old lady very sad
@@dogguy8603 She or her husband was a VERY big player, for the Hilton to do that for her. I wonder how much she/he lost prior years, to get the final comp?
2:07 NO I Enjoy it to much “ slaps button” 🤣
The lady is a true gunslinger! Love it!
That casino manager was so fake. She’s really thinking that we’re going to bled the old lady dry
“What would lead you to say that?” She had to think really hard lol
I lost 10 K and I feel like dieing. 4 million? holyfuck
4 million dollars, I know because we have it on the computers. :)
What would cause you to tell her to stop?
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 😂
You believe you're friends with her but you've watched her crumble 4 million dollars into a company that makes treble that and that's not on you're conscience? She's probably lonely with a hell of a lot of cash go traveling spend the last few years doing everything you dreamt of instead of pressing buttons
She is living her dream. If she traveled to France she would gamble there. She lives in one of the most popular travel destinations in the world.
Its harder for some people to travel vs the average healthy person. Some people cant even leave their house because of that and their amount of money doesnt change that.
There is no proof she is lonely either.
4 million dollars might not be that much money to her either.
Is she really in a posistion to say these machines are no good, but these two are possibles. She’s lost 4 million dollars, what the hell
Beautiful!
I won $4800 at the Casino once. Got up, walked out, and paid a months rent, bought some movies, games and books, a new console and other stuff, and stuck what was left in the bank. Good times.
“I can always quit, I’ve never been addicted to anything in my life” says the gambling old lady who’s gambled millions of dollars away while sat at a machine gambling...
This isnt a real argument though because you dont know how much money she has. If she has 100 million and lost 4 it isnt that big a deal.
It is just if someone had 100 thousand and lost 5 many people wouldnt call them an addict even if they gambled $2 a day as much as she does.
People waste money on entertainment as often as she does and are not called an addict.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants watch the whole documentary or the clip on youtube where he visits her. Son tries to stop her but she refuse snd dont care if the son dont inherit any money
@@FordSierraIS It is her money though not his. If she went t the movies once a week for 30 years would you call her addicted?
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants yes but she dont, she goes to the casino every day and lose 2500 in avg daily, and think that not going there for 1 day is taking a brake which it sounded like was on request from her son and very rare. Did you even see the next video? This is addiction and its really sad how its legal to prey on people in a vulnerable situation. This story isnnot unique
@@FordSierraIS People watch tv every single day. People play computer games or ps4 or xbox every single day also. People eat or drink the same stuff every single day.
Some people who do things daily can quit at anytime and have no desire to. Doing something every day does not by default prove a person is addicted.
I have seen the whole doc.
“ I lost 4 million dollars in the casino” no my precious you didn’t loose it, you willingly gave it away .....
She's so cool, she sounds like Lisa Simpson. She's awesome!
She sounds like Joe Pesci !))
Elmo
I always wondered where she is today, I saw this film long time ago, she love to gamble. I wonder where she is today. God bless her. 🙏🏻
I love old people man. She reminds me of my grandma. Mark my words the world will be a very sad place when the last of that generation are gone.
Most of them were racist.
This is the most wholesome Louis Theroux video ever
Wow, so much freedom and so many possibilities at one's fingertips if one had millions of dollars and Martha sits in front of a slot machine every day.
With 4 million dollars i would never have to work a day in my life and have generations after me live the same, meanwhile this lady lost it over the course of 7 years while pressing a button, not even doing anything fun like spending the money on cars or something, literally pressing a button
@@kacper.6537 She is already rich and old though.
@@kacper.6537 It's her fun, she earnt it working hard so why can't she spend it how she likes?
You can have 4 million, but you are going to have to work pretty hard for it.
@@MrJonboy its not fun
@@kacper.6537 you mean "It's not fun for you".
How can you tell people what they enjoy or not.

"People say I've got a gambling problem, I tell them I don't have a problem, I like it"

She is fucking up her son's heritage
@@FIFAxxgamig It is her money not his.
I like her voice and accent
Are you addicted
No
So stop coming in
I enjoy it too much
= Addicted 😁
Ma’am, do you want a pet? I know how to bark.
That was hilarious, painfully
She would tell her, only on the day she is leaving her job,
Anyone else think Martha has such a nice voice? She sounds like something out of a film or a voice actress.
Id bet you £100 I would never gamble
*u win*
Over and above what you normally play when you have been playing at a level where you lose 4 million without anyone intervening basically means it'll never get questioned, as it's their business model.
I'm 44yo white male and I love this woman! 😍😍😍 I would marry her! 😚 and yes, i'm a gambling addict, worst kind.
😂
Try online gambling once in our website
I saw her in vegas a few years ago...standing on the road, pressing the cross walk button for hours as cars zoomed by.
Aren't you going to run out of money?
No.
A lot of people have a bad understanding of addiction. "I can quit any time. I just don't want to." That's the point, lol. It's too much fun so you don't ever want to quit.
Yes the point is if you reach your own self-defined reasons for needed to quit the activity, would you quit the activity? That's the key. Some people would reach those points and continue losing more
Some addicts it isnt fun though.
I'm happy to say I've never been inside a casino and I'm 65. Gambling is one addiction I didn't fall into
my hero.
She sounds like joe pesci 😂
"4 million how? Do I amuse you?"
she has the cutest voice.
She is a pretty cool grandma though, even with the gambling addiction.
ye she cool asf
Doing something you dont have to as often as she gambles doesnt automatically make you a addict though.
You could do something you dont have to every single day for the rest of your life and not be addicted to it.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants You sound like you’re trying to convince yourself.
@@Bucketheadhead What a stupid reply when I am factually correct. Some people who do it are addicts and some are not.
She loved gambling so much she didn’t even care she lost. Most addicts have a problem with what they are doing themselves in some way.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants Lol if you say so buddy
ahh i remember this show, i then remember how it went on to show how she is moving in to live with here son in his little flat cos she's had to sell here house and how infact she is addicted and has tried to stop many times but failed. but i can very easily see how people can become addicted to gambing, I'm just please I've only been on holidays to casinos, and that i don't live near one.
You a liar. She never quit or implied she ever tried to.She said she would take a day off every now and then.
Her husband had recently died.Moving to a new place could of only been due to her husbands recent dying and that is it.
Her gambling could of had 0 to do with it.
Too proud to admit she's got an addiction and has wasted 4 million..
I need more video like this 👍😌
Gambling is stupid, but slots aren't even gambling. It's like putting a dollar in a vending machine that you know isn't going to give you your sprite.
slots are generally between 95%-97% RTP. Roulette is 97.30%. Blackjack in practice about 99.10%. Sports betting generally 95%.
Slots are expensive, but so is Roulette and Sports. Only blackjack is acceptable for the entertainment/cost ratio.
Paretozen sports is not 95% lol
"If you ever thought Martha was gambling too much, would you have a word with her?"
"If I told her to cool it for a while, she would listen".
" And what would lead you to say that?"
"Erm........"
BTW as of spring 2020 Martha is still alive aged 92, unknown whether still gambling though....
how could you be one of those people who keep people in the casino, its like your job is literally to ruin people.. how would you sleep at night?
Isaac Firestone So true, they probably get a fat pay check. But getting to sleep at night no amount of money can fix that
Actually they are like carers. They give these people someone nice to talk to and be around. It's a slightly better existence than a crack addict in a gutter. These people will gamble no matter what, alone or not. They will just gamble at the most comfortable chair. These facilitators should be respected, like nurses.
And sorry, don't come at me pretending to know about addiction with your post you clearly don't understand.
I would sleep on my right side. I find that position to be the most comfortable.
How do they sleep at night? Probably on a mattress made of dollars, sleeping like a baby
Notice she said she lost $4 million not spent it. I seriously hope she gets free meals, suites, bonuses etc
Bless her. Bets she's passed on by now.
Wanna bet?
@@fuimoleque nice
She’s lost on average $1565.56 everyday for 7 years straight 🤯
No, she says "why would I run out of money?" Imagine all the good tha could be done with this amount, and to think she spends all her waking hours in front of these machines, hearing this 3-note tune, never seeing a real bird or a tree...
I think she's pround of being able to say how much she can afford to lose. And to hear the lady-floor manager say she's a very nice lady makes her feel good.
Yah looking at trees is what life is all about.
I bet you do nothing for charities or anything so who are you to tell an old lady what to do lmao I bet your dead anyway and I'm laughing. Also she's older than you amd your talking like you've lived longer. You are the biggest loser on UA-cam lmao
