I like listening to Jeremy talk. The man just puts out zen wisdom every time he speaks -you can easily tell he's an honest individual. Animal, you guys should do an extensive interview with Jeremy. That would be awesome.
DJPLER The only one I could find was the one that I watched a couple of times already, in Chad Smith's channel. If that's not the one you're referring to, I'll keep looking or a link would be greatly be appreciated.
Animal Thank you for the link. I somehow missed it when it was uploaded. I didn't learn anything regarding technique nor nutrition but it was still a fun watch. Thanks again.
Derek Kendall's shoulders are way stronger but Jeremy Hoornstra kills him on the bench. I find it weird but I guess each persons find their strengh in different areas.
Just my input... but I think it's because jeremy uses a pretty narrow grip on his bench which takes some stress off the shoulders, whereas derek uses a wider grip so shoulders are needed more.
+Nick Bates he said in this vid this was the day after bench in his 242 raw dvd he was overhead pressing 455 for reps their delt strength is pretty close
I've been trying to get to the upper end of the 275 class so here I was around 260 but I hate it and going back down...I don't feel stronger from the weight gain, I feel like crap on everyday things, so I'm headed back down to the 250 area and staying 242 for now.
Dear God, I see a lot of keyboard warriors in here. Excuse me sir, but you just witnessed a 365 perfect form press. Very few people on earth, since the 1900 can do that. Stop hating, and stop worring about minutia details. Get at least a bw press, and you'll understand how difficult that is. Thanks to Jeremy and Animal for the video.
Jeremy Hoornstra Great insights here! Would you recommend seated bb pressing over standing if the focus is to increase shoulder rapidly? Also is once a week enough, as on my 4 day split I bench three of the days?
I do, both work but I think that shoulders isolate more on seated, eliminates leg drive...however throws in core when standing. For me, standing strict presses is that one exercise that no matter what, I tend to get injured doing them...so I don't. I can do seated as heavy as I want and have gone over 500 but 225 popped my bicep tendon twice doing them standing...if you work the muscle group out hard enough, it will take a few days to rest...shoulders get used on chest day for me as well so once a week is enough for me.
Mike Steel I hardly ever do singles in training just go down to doubles but before a meet I will work up to singles a few weeks prior to get in that groove and have done a fairly easy paused 680.
Laughable him giving out advice on using strict form when he never even locks out any reps on bench or dumbell reps lol last time I watch one of his vids
Alec Sime yeah it's actually not a problem, has always been my strong point...and not great on the joints to go full Rom when heavy but I'm not worried what others think...I'm healthy and it works for me. Thanks man.

Fabien Gengis Rauch I think they should be even in bench, Kendall benched 500 for 17 reps 17! That's insane, he should be able to bench at least 650
Rear delts ?
yeaaarh thats the way to do it...
Jermey you look like you packed on some serious weight how much you weigh now?

Appreciate the thorough and quick response man, I'll look to put the this to practice thanks a lot

I know that guy sucks, I hate his lifts...screw him
Jeremy Hoornstra it sucks that so many guys hate on you for how you train even though im assuming your lockout isnt a problem.

Richie Whitehead haha thanks man, I appreciate it.
