Hood Damper Install for Mazda

Mazda CX-3: Hood Damper Install
Picked up a cheap hood damper from eBay and it was a breeze to install. Much easier to lift up the hood especially in the dark. It was always a pain to look for that hole for the hood prop rod. The installation took less than an hour but it was mostly trying to figure out the right tools. I got hung up thinking the rods were too long but realized it was a dumb mistake. I could just lift up the hood higher lol.

So 1 year down the road, do these dampers still work ? How is the rust ?

No rust and it's working like a champ. It's super useful and glad to install this.

Nice job. I see that you have the red strut bar installed. How much torque did you used to tighten the bolts?
