Fun first story but we actually used dogs to hunt rats. Rats are often times too big for cats to bother with. The term ratter is assigned to the breeds we used. The Irish Terrier was excellent at it I'm told.
Still is. They are still used on farms for rat control. Some midden heaps and compost piles need dug in to get to the vermin, the dogs make sure they don't escape.

one of the earliest modern human graves ever found was with a kitten that died of a disease and an adult male who had been ritualistically killed and buried WITH the kitten as a sacrifice. So in at least one ancient human agricultural civilization cats were considered above humans.

First, release the cats on the alien rats. Just make sure you warn the alien crew about the unpredictability of felines. Human musculature is weird. Our own brain has to limit which muscles we can use.
Not again! Cats got a bad rep 'cause they are deaf. They hear well bellow human norms. You try taking to a cat from a distance..it can't hear you ! You want cat attention? Vibrations on the ground . The pads on their paws are practically seismographs. Its how they hunt , that and air disturbances they feel with their whiskers. I grew up with them, i know what i'm talking about. You startle them you'll get scratched, but that's on you. You're the one sneaking up on a predator. Handshake ? That assumes European or North American, cause the rest of the world .. don't use it. Most Asians bow as a greeting. IDK about Africans ,but i doubt they compromise their dominant hands deliberately, to show peaceful intent.

My aunt used to have a rat terrier it killed three raccoons in one night
@@RogueCove I believe it they are vicious little bastards. And it's not theor fault, we literally bred them to be like that.

Maybe the space rats were larger
Cats can handle a single rat as I have known them to take down a rabbit but rats don't often singly.

@@genericuser984 lol. Something happened. I think I’ll keep it.
My mom's cat, just entered her apartment and started living there
Cats have domesticated themselves on at least two separate occasions, kinda funny to think about.

the human body to limit itself to about a third of it's capable strength because any higher than that and we'd start causing damage to ourselves
@@DepressedCrow I know that, but it's easier to just say the brain limits it.

I think the cats were holding the author hostage. Should we send help?
Any story that has kittens in space automatically gets a like.
That intro animation was awesome! Where is it from or is it original? I can’t tell.
It’s obviously from outer space or at least the future.
It is a UA-cam premium intro, I can't find where it is from though. It definitely has a "Paltibor" or other prime mecha anime vibe though.
